“Horrific customer service experience”

First issue I had was on ordering from the site,I was paying by Paypal but found myself unwittingly filling out an unwanted credit form because the payment page is a little unclear. It wasn't until I was informed that in just one more step I would have a £1000 credit that I realised I wasn't going to be able to pay this way so had to flip the pages back to the start. Hi,
I have received a refund now after complaining again through enquiries at Woolworths but I did initially speak to Help@Woolworths when I was first having problems before I wrote the review and didn't find it very helpful to me.
I see the website is no longer showing the item as available and the issue is now resolved but I will not shop with Woolworths again.

It is a different company to the old one. The Woolworths who were on the high street no longer exist in any form, the website is Woolworths by name only and ran by Shop Direct who own Littlewood, Argos and Kays

“Taken my money, no product, noone responding to my...”

They will reject orders even after customer makes full upfront payment, just because customer doesnt want to disclose their date of birth! Have bought 1000s of items online, never have been asked for date of birth for upfront payment options. “Don't bother your stuff won't turn up!”

Was contacted with 3 days notice and given a friday afternoon delivery window. As per many other's experiences the courier never showed despite the parcel being loaded on the van at 09:30 the day before. Our large item (or 2 man) couriers do call in advance of the delivery to confirm a delivery date and timeslot and we do apologise that they were unable to complete the delivery in this instance. We are sorry to hear that your order did not process correctly via our website.
It sounds like what has happened is that there was a website or internet error once you had entered your card information. If the order is not showing on our systems and you did not receive an email confirmation then we would not have taken any funds from your bank account. These would have been ringfenced by your bank in a suspense account awaiting our confirmation to take the funds. With the order not processing we would not have approach your bank to take the funds and they would return to your account - usually within 5/10 working days.

As I quite clearly said the funds CLEARED from my bank account. I used PayPal (thankgod). When I contacted your customer services I was told there was no transacation or order. When I asked them to recheck I was told the case was closed! I went to PayPal and they pulled the money, that Woolworths refused to aknowledge they had, back for me. “They force you to get credit to buy!!!! AVOID”

Absolute joke! I wanted to purchase an ball pool and a couple of jungle junction figures which totals £25. Went to set up an online account so i could pay by debit card and you can't unless you sign up to a credit agreement!
