I like the fact of being able to regulate the amount of steam and it does a good job, but, the water container needs to be bigger. It must be refilled often if not cleaning a small room or having to go over a "spot" several times releasing steam each swipe.

Would like to continue using it but pump has packed u. up. How do I contact Home-tek re repair? Telephone number from box is never answered and no facility to leave message. Company I bought from refused to contact Home-tek on my behalf.

bought 2 steam mops both ok cleaning wise but swivel point sn11apped. looked at hometech light n easy ,body nice n solid no single swivel point to snap. 1st one had cracked body. home tech replaced no problem even said keep any bits for new one. new one used daily for last 9 months or so .up and down stairs in a very dusty area and 5 dogs. has been a very good, liked and well used machine. untill now!!. it has started to spit & hiss a nd wont issue steam unless its abused, shook, shocked and inverted. could do without the fun element though. time to try a different make hopefully with a stronger more reliable steamer. it did the job well though but i should have read reviews before purchase.

I had one of these appliances years ago which broke down very quickly. I have just been given another one as we had installed a tiled floor in the hall. After 4 uses the pump has packed up and on telephoning the company they insinuated it was my fault for not using it enough!! This product is NOT robust and would not purchase another.

I have had my steam mop for about 2 years and have used it every couple of weeks with no problems. I would/have recommended it. It is light weight, dries quickly and great with animals not having to use chemicals.

Bought a Home Tek steam mop 14 months ago and was very pleased the first few times of using it. It is light and easy to use. Now it is making all the right noises but is not producing steam. Ergo, not any use. Would not recommend this brand.

LIke many of the people leaving a review of this product I found it worked wonderfully for a few times then the pump stopped working. No support from the manufacturers. It is really very bad value for money and a very expensive mop.

Bought it at a home show in Reliant Center, Houston. The steam mop did not steam properly from the first time I used it. Would leave lots of water on the floor with hardly any steam. Needed to be refilled every 10 minutes. The product does not live up to salesman word. Paid way too much money. Next time will buy a Shark Steam Mop, they seem to have good reviews. On the upside it is light weight so easy to use.

I used steam mop monthly for 11 months and then it fused the house circuit breakers. On dismantling device a small plastic pipe had broken allowing steam to spray onto electrics. The repeated pushing to liberate steam had worn this pipe which is not robust enough for job.BUT it cleaned tiles well.

Have owned the mop for 18 months and used it very little. So for the first six uses it was good. Today it was useless, it would take about 3 days to use the water in the reservoir steam production is so slow. Visiting Home Tek website is a waste of time - it is a scam. No means of getting service and no contact numbers. I would urge everone never to buy any home tek product.

I bought this steam mop as I have tiles all through the downstairs of my house. The first three months it worked brilliantly - then it stopped steaming. On the face of it, it seemed to be working - but no steam was being generated. I would not recommend this to anyone because of the durability aspect

This steam mop (when it works) is fantastic at cleaning hard floors. It is incredibly easy to use and I bought it after a recommendation from a friend. However, the first one I bought lasted 10 months being used once a week. I sent it back under warranty but it was (conveniently for them) lost in the post. So I bought a second one which has lasted less than 6 months before packing up. For relibility I would not recommend.

I bought an light and easy steam mop only two months ago and thought it was great to start with. Went to use it for the forth time and all the water was pouring from the bottom. I have tried to find an email address to complain too but with no luck.
I bought it from Sandringham summer fare in September this year. At £80.00 that is not cheap, for only three uses.

The Light 'n' Easy HT824 Deluxe Steam Mop is Overpriced and poor performer. Leaked with melted pipes.Unsuitable for most expected tasks

I would not make Light 'n' Easy HT824 Deluxe Steam Mop my first choice in purchase again....the demonstration at the home show does not reflect real life accurately. It did not live up to promises made. I feel that I have wasted $140.00 and would have be better off saving my money.

Very easy to clean all my tile floors with the Light 'n' Easy HT824 Deluxe Steam Mop. Five pads came with it, which is a plus. I wish that I had it before the cleaning help kept washing my floors with the dirty water, so I could see if the grout really stayed clean. So far, so good! Bad points are: No on/off switch. If you clean a floor you usually have to walk on the wet floor to unplug the machine. Seems to be something that should have not been missed on a $140 product. That is basically why I gave it an 8 instead of a ten. I only have had it for a month, so how it lasts long term I don't know.

i would recommend this HT824 steam mop i have had mine for 3 years and in that time i have used 3 cleaning pads every time the large kitchen floor and hall to garden is washed, i use three as this makes washing the pads after use easy and i think this helps the life of the pads, these 3 pads are all i have had in three years.
