As numerous other people have said in their reviews this product now seems to cause a severe rash in some people including my son. We used it many times in the past without problem but last year, 2009, it caused my son to suffer from a very itchy rash. In short avoid… Read Full Review

I used to absolutely love Piz Buin sun cream. It is non-greasy and was a reliable sun screen. Unfortunately, I would now say DON'T RISK IT! Piz Buin have changed their formula and the product now gives me a severe itchy and very sore rash for a week after use. The rash spread over most of my body. I would pass it off as being 'just me' but after 2 weeks of holiday, my husband (who has the least sensitive skin ever!) also developed the rash. It was only on his ears whereas mine spread all over… Read Full Review

I too have had the same reaction, only on the areas I put the cream. I have just returned from the pharmacist and she said that the ingredient that is likely causing this reaction is methylparaben. It is also in other suncreams so check that out when you are buying others..
I hope this rash goes down!… Read Full Review

I had to go to the out of hours doctors I am taking steriods, anti histamines and covering myself in steroid cream. I will definatley contacting Piz Buin to… Read Full Review

As i've had melonoma, I thought i would invest in a good suncream. I bought piz buin 1 day long lotion spf 30 and also piz buin allergy spray spf 50. I used this everyday on holiday for my whole body for 1 week with no problems. Yet when i returned home i started b
getting itchy red spots on my forearms, this then quickly spread to my neck, face, chest, tummy, legs, everywhere apart from the soles of my feet. It is extremely itchy and burning, my face looks like i have bad acne and my neck. I went… Read Full Review

I also have had problems with the 1 day long cream, i tan very easily and never suffer from prickly/heat rash. However on moving to Australia i thought that i should protect myself more and started to use 1 day long cream. i used it on my arms, chest and neck (thank god not my face). Everything was fine for a couple of days then i came out in a red raised rash thats very itchy. At first i put it down to a heat rash, but nothing seemed to budge it. It was only talking to people about it, when… Read Full Review

I have been using Piz Buin for many years and having suffered from very sensitive skin all my life i was relieved that i had found this product until this year. I bought the allery lotion 30 with the soothing aftersun and have been in agony since using. Raised red patches, hard sore lumps and bumps and very itchy on my face, neck and shoulder and legs. I am taking anti histamine at the moment but will have to seek medical advice if things haven't improved in a couple of days. Please, please… Read Full Review

I have used Piz Buin 1 Day Long sun lotion twice. I tan easily and do not have sensitive skin. I have used other Piz Buin sun creams before. The first time I used it was in August, 2009. I developed a severe rash over most of my body, which was extremely itchy and aggravated by the heat (not good if you are in a hot country). At that time, following a visit to the hotel doctor, it was believed that I was allergic to the anti-malaria tablets I was taking and that they were the cause of the… Read Full Review

My husband and I both suffered from severe allergic reaction to this on our summer holiday this year. My husband, who has more sensitive skin than me (I've never suffered a reaction to anything), suffered the worst - its worth noting that it seems to take a few days for the reaction to occur - we thought at first it was prickly heat but it soon became apparent that it was an allergic reaction. I thought I'd escaped till the last few days of the holiday when I came out in itchy rash too. We… Read Full Review

I am currently on holiday in Spain and have been using Piz Buin One Day Factor 15 for the past 5 days. After two days I noticed I was developing a rash on my feet and put it down to heat rash. However, it has got much worse and now spread over most of my body (except, thankfully, my face...for now at least). After doing some research on the internet I see that many others have suffered this same fate and I too seem to be allergic to some ingredient in this product. I am really suffering and… Read Full Review

My 18yr old daughter had 2 separate holidays abroad. 1 week with friends, 1 week with her boyfriend, both to Greece in July and August. She came back the same colour as she went!! That was with factor 15, I honestly can say piz buin the BEST suncream I/we have ever used and would not use anything but. I have always used high factor on my children, this does 100% what it says on the bottle, brilliant!!!… Read Full Review

I too have suffered a severe allergic reaction to the Piz Buin 1 day long lotion as described by others on this site, needing treatment with steriods and antihistamines. The itching is still a problem after 3 weeks but is now improving. I have used this product for the last 2 years and found it great but the problem seems to be that they have now added oxybenzone (look it up - its not nice!)to the product. The packaging gives you no reason to think the product has changed. I have contacted… Read Full Review

I used Piz Buin 1 Day Long Lotion for about 2 days and then gradually came out in a really bad lumpy, red, itchy rash on my face, legs and arms. It lasted almost four weeks and was a complete nightmare and almost ruined my holiday. This is our second year using Factor 30 once a day. Both myself and my children have very fair skin and burn easily. We applied this Piz Buin 1 Day Long Lotion at least twice a day and were able to remain out in the Turkish sun/in and out of the pool all dayand did not burn once. Must admit I peferred the texture and applicaton of last year's product. I had some left over to compare. Last year's product was better value for money - was not as thick with better coverage… Read Full Review
