They trespassed - been to my flat without asking for my authority. Ignored all my e-mails about it but said 'sorry' on the phone - not to leave any proof I guess. My friends who used them said they took almost all of their deposit using all sorts of excuses. TENANTS,BEWARE

I am not a Tennant or Landlord but find these people lie through their teeth. I have had a leak from the upstairs flat they are managing 2 weeks ago. They told me the property had problems with plumbing eg no hot water, no heating. Tenants told me the toilet leaked but the water down my walls is not down to the flat they are managing. Worse still they haven't even informed the landlord and actually told me this. On the last call they said the tenants over pressurised the system hence the water .. now back tracking and told me they never said this and I'm making good it up. She then said I never came into the office to report it I had to tell her who I spoke to and where this person ACTUALLY sat before she believed me. I would be concerned if I was a landlord and wasn't told what was happening.

During my time dealing with the management team team at Surelet I have found them to be fast, effective and proffessional with all aspects of the property management. Communication is back and forth is regular and timely with a proffessional and courteous manner. surelet have always been excellent at arranging for quotes and works to the property with the desired outcome acheived. I would recommend Surelet to manage any property within there local area.

We have rented out our properties through Surelet for many years. Throughout this time, the person in Gloucester has been asolutely brilliant. Her management of our properties is exemplary, and she shows real care and empathy for our tenants. We trust her advice and judgement implicitly and know that our tenants do too. We cannot recommend Surelet more highly whether you're looking to rent your property or looking for a property to rent. This is a professional team and you really can have absolute trust and confidence!

Over many years of renting out properties I've had the misfortune of using some rubbish letting agents and had to change them frequently. However, about nine years ago a colleague recommended Surelet in Hemel Hempstead and I've stayed with them ever since. I have found them punctual and helpful in all aspects and they even helped me recover some of a tenants deposit to cover costs when the tenant left a property in poor repair. More recently I have also been letting a property in Wales and, yet again, I've had problems with an agency that I was using there - statements were often late or just not sent and feedback, generally, was almost non-existent. Having discovered that Surelet also have a branch in that area I have now changed agency to Surelet, having been very pleased with the Hemel branch, and, so far, it looks as though the Welsh agents are also living up to the high standard that the Hemel Branch has set.

moved into a property on the 23rd of april 2015 with a gas debt on the meter we wernt made aware off. Hand rail for stairs completly loose. Light fixtures in bthroom have drop down out of there holes and are hanging over bth. Drain pipes existing the property have wide holes in the wall so loads of bugs get in etc woodlice. . .slugs. . .spiders. old appliances left in kitchen we were told would be removed before we move in. front door doesnt sit flush at the bottom. We foud out later from the senior property mananger that the boiler had previous problems hence no gas no heating. We have made her aware that my wife is 36 weeks pregnant but she doesnt seem to rush or take i seriously. We cannot make a complaint against the property manager, as here father Owns the burton surelet franchise. It is now the 20th may 2015 stil no heating or gas. Shame on you.

I didn't even get a letter to tell me that they're were coming to inspect our home! Came home from work to a slip of paper saying they had been! When I rang them all they could say was 'sorry' We pay a high rent for NO PRIVACY! Never again would I rent from them and I would never recommend them

Excellent service, as a new landlord they provided me with all the support and help I required. They rang me immediately with any queries and even suggested solutions. I checked their pricing (replacement of a dishwasher and it was very competitive, so went with their proposal). Easy and fast solution for me. They ensured the property was safe and carried out all the required checks on my behalf, thereby limiting my liabilities! Lastly their staff are just nice people who take care of their clients to the best of their abilities.

I've been a happy customer of Surelet for approximately 4 years now, Surelet have managed 6 of my properties . There haven't been any hidden fees, as with the majority of agents. I have always kept fully informed with all my managements fees or any contractor fees they have to pay for maintenance. Would definitely forward their details to my friends and family.

I just move in my news house that I rent with surelet and after fews weeks the boiler stop to work. but thanks to Raman in surlet birmingham bearwood everything was solved within a day. sunday the problem started monday evening ghe house was warm and cosy! very kind and professional thank you.

After working with SureLet for over 10 years on a rental property, we decided to make a sale of the property. With no expectation the woamn went over and above to make this sale as successful as possible. Offering advice, contacts and sharing her knowledge to make sure we got the right people in place. This was over and above anything I would have expected from a letting agency, who don't handle sales, but it was a delight to experience this type of service and I cannot recommend this company highly enough to other landlords. Exceptional.

We have a property rented out from Surelet Birmingham office. We have relocated from down south to birmingham recently. Negotiatior has been so helpful he picked us up from our hotel due to we were new in Birmingham and he showed us more than 6 houses after working hours which we really appreciated. We rented one of their house.. We have been staying in their property more than three months now and so far we haven't had any issue apart from having no hot water in the property . The management centre sent someone next day as we had small baby at home and we needed the hot water urgently. We have recommended other two of our frds to seek a property from Surelet because they have good quality of properties all around the birmingham

WARNING DO NOT rent from surelet!!! When we saw our house 2 1/2 months ago we said we wanted carpets cleaned bath pannel putting back on and the garden (which was an absolute tip!) clearing of all the junk rubble and weeds. They had a month to do it and when we got our keys NOTHING was done. Now 2 1/2 week later our garden is still like a dumping ground only moving everything from one end of the garden to the other. Ive phoned everyday since moving in and still nothings been done. Never getting back to us, never chasing stuff up. At times ive phoned and theyve no idea whst im talking about. They are an absolute joke, none of them know what theyre doing its like talking to a brick wall. If your thinking of renting with surelet, do yourself a favour and go with someone else. Youd be happier living in a wotsits box on the streets!!

Surelet are a joke! Rented a property paying £800 PCM uninhabitable had slugs in lounge wood lice from damp an they kept quiet about token meters! Found the property filthy couldn't move in took 2 days of cleaning!!! Then I got a letter saying I had rent arrears ?? I had spoken to office daily and they never said a word suddenly I get 1 letter saying despite previous letters I had ignored??? First I ever heard about it? I tried to contact to sort situation and was totally ignored!! I had never not offered to pay them?? Turns out the person in the collections is not only rude but also an incompitent liar!! She was so rude to my child on phone he cried, I'm furious someone needs to take a look at her behaviour and work she is terrible! Lies are told to suit her! I intend going to a solicitor when I asked for owners/ directors contact details she refused to answer me so I put all into emails as evidence! Hopefully management will remove her sooner rather than later !

My daughter rented a property through Surelet. One final viewing,she was ensured the remaining work was to be completed. On moving in the property was inhabitable and she and the children had to stay with me until it was cleaned. too numerous faults and issues to mention were found with the property, resulting in numerous un-returned calls or "can't contact landlord". Finally after over a week without heating, because my daughter has two young children, both both weak chests, Environmental Health go involved, and basically found numerous fault including saying third attic bedroom was unsafe!!! The landlord was served papers to do repairs, and none were carried out to standard. It ended with the landlord, because he didn't want to do repairs ending the tenancy, all through the problems, Surelet were uninterested. She looked at another property through them, but they wanted the fees again and would not transfer the deposit!! I know the landlord pays a fee to them, but where is their duty to the tenant, they rented out a house that was not fit to live in, and seem not to care at all or offer any help whatsoever.

I have let property in the past and therefore have experience with agencies. I found Surelet very responsive and professional. They were quick off the mark in finding us tenants and would happily use them again.

Anyone thinking if renting under Surelet - think again. They are lovely and friendly when viewing/signing the contract. Problems were resolved fairly quickly however my main issue was with the deposit. What they don't tell you is that they take £60 off your deposit for a final inspection fee - obviously in the small print of the contract as I never saw it! Secondly, they charged me £159 for the skirting boards, 2 nails in the walls, paint on the plug sockets and the fluorescent tube lighting which had gone. Disgraceful!!!! I am in the process of sorting this out and if I do not get a significant amount of my deposit back relatively soon, I shall be going to a small claims court! Do not rent with Surelet!

Brilliant service by letting agent. We had a property from birmingham office and after we movedin to the property we had few problems with our heating system because property was manged by agency they have send engineer next day and it was sorted in few days. Very pleases with their service...will recommend my friends to find a property from them because tbey have some good properties in the area..
