“shared hosting: 10 hour outage...”

… on 11 July 2018. Fixed now but if I hadn't spotted the issue myself I'd not even know there'd been a problem. Were they hoping nobody would notice? Is that why, 10 hours after recovery, no email explanation or apology? I've got other web sites at other (cheaper) hosts delivering better support. For this site I was happy to pay a significant premium for what I'd understood to be a better service.

I have Been with CWCS for 14 years now and just completed our 3rd server upgrade, I cannot fault you guys, for all your knowledge and support. You have once again made the job easy and painless. To have this support available evenings and weekends meant I didn't have any working down time. I can honestly say I would not trust my business with anyone else. This company has consistently offered me an affordable service, great technical support and reliability. "Thank you once again guys"

I have used CWCS since 2009 and have always had great service. The tech guys seem to go that extra mile to help you out when needed. We have gone from VPS to Cloud server with Gold Support which has been excellent. Having used other well known providers over the last 16+ years I can honestly say that if there is ever a problem, I know I don't need to panic as they give expert advice in their tech department. I can highly recommend their services which I believe are delivered at a good price for the service given.

“Great Out of hours Support!”

We had a problem with one of the services on our dedicated server overnight (2am on a Sunday morning). CWCS quickly picked up the issue and restarted the service before we or our customers noticed saving potential downtime and inconvenience to our customers. The first we knew was an email the next morning saying what had happened and saying it had been quickly fixed by the in-house technicians. Had this not been resolved then our clients would have lost potential orders and reduced page rankings.

I have been with CWCS for 8 months and have enjoyed consistent fast speed and absolutely no downtime. And the tech support is absolutely superb! After enduring 4 years of slow speed, tons of outages and pathetic tech support from my previous host, I am now in web heaven and can now just get on with running my site worry-free. Forget the rest guys, sign up with CWCS!

I highly recommend CWCS – I’m not all that technical but when I first contacted their Sales team I was talked through the various options for my new website project and they actually seemed to listen rather than just try and get me to sign up for one plan or another as fast as possible (which I’ve had when talking to some other hosting companies). I have only contacted their support a couple of times but each time they have been superb – explained things clearly and problem solved in a few minutes! Great service, really helpful staff, no problems with my website/hosting so highly recommend.

“They did not take responsibility of domain renewal ”

Could you imagine a hosting company does not renew a domain even though auto renew was on? if they cant make a simple task like this, could you imagine to be responsible for hosting? I purchased the company, they transferred the domain-- but they transferred (as they say) a cancelled domain (cancelled as far as their system thought) to me.- so unprofessional. They "believe" the domain was cancelled on their system prior to me purchasing the company..pretty ridiculous! TO HAVE AUTO RENEW ON AND CANCELLATION? TO SETUP A NEW ACCOUNT WITH A CANCELLED DOMAIN? CANCELLED DOMAIN OPERATING FOR 9 MONTHS? what type of system do they have that does not send flags. Certainly not enough protection built in to save me. Auto renew was on so I trusted that they would renew it. They did not..it expired SO 30 days AFTER THAT, my website went down and i could not even get the emails from my customers.. They even invoiced me for domain management even though there was no domain. Do they not have triggers in their system or flags? BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY...IF YOU RELY ON YOUR DOMAIN..THEY MAY NOT RENEW IT WHEN IT IS DUE AND THEY WILL COME UP WITH EXCUSES AND NOT EVEN OWN THE PROBLEM. it took me over an hour to convince the emergency support desk to do something..that my site was down but because it was domain related...they did not feel this was something they could handle over the weekend. This company is unprofessional and a total mess. i dont even know how they could be in business if a simple task can get so messed up.

On behalf of CWCS Managed Hosting we are sorry that you’ve had this issue and we can understand how upset you must feel.

The domain was cancelled when registered to the previous owner prior to a change of ownership in March 2013. The cancelled status was then migrated across with the details of the account.

If a domain is set as cancelled, our system will not auto renew it (if it did, we would be sending auto renews to customers who had cancelled their domains!). To renew a cancelled domain just needs a call or email to us.

We have confirmed with the domain registrar that they sent you at least two reminders prior to your domain being cancelled.

We would have been more than happy to advise on or help with the renewal process if you were not sure what to do about these reminders. This too would have prevented domain cancellation.

As soon as we were made aware of the situation - when you contacted our Technical Support service on Saturday, 18th January 2014 - we were able to rectify everything within 65 minutes.

We did not invoice, charge you or take payment regarding this domain renewal. And as a show of goodwill we have renewed your domains free of charge until December 2017. We have also offered you free hosting.

We hope that this has not affected your business too much and we’d be happy to chat to you further if you have any unresolved questions.

“Exceptional Service / Good Value for Money / Best Support”

I have used CWCS for all our Co-Lo Data Centre needs for several years now. What attracted us to CWCS in the first place was value for money. We have gone back several times to extend our requirements and each time they show huge flexibility. Several of our own server VM issues has raised the need to log support tickets with CWCS for assistance and due to the response time and fantastic communication and support from the tech staff I just felt such a company like this was well deserved of my time to write a review. I will look forward to continued work and support from CWCS and would strongly recommend them to anyone for data centre requirements. Charlie Buckley

“Fast, reliable with great support”

I have used CWCS web hosting for 7 years. Performance and response has been fast, the uptime excellent and on the very rare occasion when I have needed support, the response has been immediate and excellent. My only gripe is that they do not send out advance notice BEFORE the start of the cancellation period, to warn that either that payment is due or cancellation is required - at least they did not with me - and I got caught out by it. This is the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5. However, once you're aware of this, it can be addressed with an Outlook Calendar reminder, as I did. I would certainly recommend CWCS as an excellent, professional hosting service.

“Basic web and email starter package.”

The setting up of the package was very straightforward. There was a problem with my DNS record for email but it was rectified very quickly. I have been using the system for a number of years now and have not had any problems. I know that there are various upgrade options available which I may take up in the future. Also billing is very straightforward. Highly recommended.

These guys have given amazing service for the last couple of years. He is always happy to help and is always there to deal with any issues on the phone promptly and efficiently. We have also just made a transition from a windows to a linux server at the same time as launching a new website - which could have been a potential nightmare, but the transition happened quickly and efficiently as they worked really closely with us to make it happen. Cannot recommend them enough ... thanks guys ...

We've had our hosting with CWCS for almost 8 years now. In that time they've proved to be reliable, quick to respond and keen to help on the odd occasion a problem has arisen. The support staff are excellent even when dealing with them 'out of hours'. They definitely know their stuff. They're not the cheapest of hosts but the level of service provided is commensurate with the cost. You get what you pay for with hosting and with CWCS you do indeed get a lot!

My company has two Virtual Linux Servers with CWCS both of which are managed by PLESK. We get high reliability with these Servers but if an issue has been reported by one of our clients, the CWCS Support Team has always responded promptly and communicated clearly to get the issue resolved. We would recommend the services provided by CWCS because they deliver what they say.
