Changed my Bike after my Insurance was renewed and phoned my Current Insurer for a quote to change and was shocked at request for over £400 to change. Went online and got annual quote from MCE of £135 and so cancelled my current Insurer, £185.00 refund and so I am £50 in pocket and Insured for a year. Got quote on line through compare the thingy dot doodah, all details on thingy the same apart from address, changed that, got quotes, MCE not cheapest but best cover, thought about where bike is kept as no garage now, out best guess from list, still same cost but thought, better ring to make sure. Well I've got the "How Did We Do?" review email, before I've got my insurance...I'm still waiting for my documents to confirm I'm insured to ride my bike. 24hrs later Zzzzzzzzzzz While we're waiting I can tell you I never received a renewal or reminder notice, and obliviously I rode three times without insurance cover, since I thought it expired at later date than it did. Staff member was very Un helpful and abropt. Very plane over the phone to me and very slow in taking details. Already been with them for a year and they had to take all my details again and to top it all off they insured bike bike under the wrong model so if I would have had to claim I wouldn't of got a penny. “Lengthy renewal process. High excess”

This was my second year of cover. It took a long time to renew over the telephone. The number on the renewal invitation was a premium rate number and I was instructed to ring back on a normal number. The staff were courteous and helpful but they had to take all my details from scratch and would not use the information they already had. “Confusing Renewal Procedure”

Time to renew my Bike Insurance with MCE - I received an email reminder but there was no means of renewing online (or no obvious means) so I phoned the 0844 number given on the email. I to was in the same position two weeks before end of policy I received an email, just to say my renewal was due, then nothing, I had to go on line the find the renewal price, then a phone call at premium then other at local in the end went back and did it online, only to find it hadn't transposed a couple of questions correctly, back on phone to correct...a very rough passage to renew my existing policy with you

“Incrediblly painful renewal call that took nearly 30 mins”

Have had both my bikes insured with MCE for last 3 years with no problems. Called to renew with no changes to bikes and personal details .....next 30 mins was most painful insurance renewal process in almost 30 yrs...every question you can imagine despite this being already on file from last renewal..never again with MCE. MCE gave me the best price in the market for my policy. It covers everything I need at a very reasonable price. The only downside was the turnaround time in sending over my policy documentation. I had to call the client services centre to get the documents and a very helpful young man, e-mailed them to me immediately. Spent 20 minutes on hold with customer services on 3 occasions only to be cut off, finally got through on the 4th attempt.
