“No longer reliable ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Donahue73 on 28/12/2023

On 3 consecutive occasions I have been given the wrong parts for my car including right sides being sold as left and incorrect information on the website. It's taking longer to get the parts than actually to fix the vehicle. Staff seem clueless when questioned.

“Taking them to court”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Mitchell134 on 27/02/2023

Dangerous parts, disinterested customer service. I bought 2 new rear callipers from Eurocarparts November last year. At the end of Oct this year my car failed it’s MOT due to one of them not working at all (fail) and the other not working as it should (advisory). The calliper that failed the MOT was returned to Eurocarparts by the garage when they got a new one. Lorrenne at Eurocarparts confirmed to me they had received the calliper from the garage but could not refund me as it wasn’t me who returned it. Despite confirming the reg of the car. Nor have they refunded the garage. The second calliper that was an advisory was reported at the same time to Eurocarparts, but because they took so long to respond to the issue they’re now saying it’s out of warranty and can not be replaced. Despite reporting it within warranty. The garage said I was lucky to have not been in an accident due to these callipers, yet Eurocarparts could not be less interested and have no intention of sorting the issue. Will never use them again. Update 27/02/23: I raised a small court claim against Euro Car Parts, to which they have submitted false information saying I’ve already received a refund, very silly as this is easily disproved. I’ve agreed to mediation and then it’ll be onto court. All of which has cost me £35 to setup, even in the extremely unlikely event I don’t get my calliper refund, they’ve had payout for a legal team, plus unknown amounts of admin, they’ve lost unknown amounts of customers as we’ve posted this to all our own customers and social media. All because they wanted to keep £117 for a faulty calliper that was returned to them, they’ve even confirmed they have the calliper in writing, very silly.

“customer service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by vfWaugh236 on 23/12/2022

Shocking customer service. Purchased a lion 096 battery 10 days ago that has been proven to be faulty, by the garage, the member of staff who was extremely rude and arrogant tested the battery and claimed it was ok as they could find no fault, when I tried to explain the tests carried out by the mechanic even offering to call the mechanic who could explain his diagnosis I was told mechanics know nothing they all talk rubbish, I persisted in my request for a replacement even suggesting an upgrade and I would pay the difference to be told no it's the vehicle that's faulty not our battery then he walked off in a very arrogant manner completely dismissing me. I asked to speak with a manager to which he replied I am one, WE WILL NOT EXCHANGE OR REFUND. I reluctantly agreed to leave the battery with them overnight so it could be tested again the next morning and they would call me with the result. 48 hrs later I had heard nothing so I called them to be told it has not been tested yet a member of staff would do it and call me back. this time I got a call after 20 minutes to be told yes the battery is faulty and I could have an exchange. however, I had since purchased another battery from another supplier and this cured the vehicle of reoccurring faults so I requested a refund which was agreed to. All this to change or get a refund on a faulty battery, totally unnecessary

“Disgusting customer service. No refunds when item faulty”

★☆☆☆☆

written by RachieA on 21/07/2022

Absolutely pathetic! Bought an alternator as advised by customer service - it turned out to be a generic universal one - I paid a mechanic to replace it. Immediately after replacement the alternator doesn't kick out the power it should. After speaking to customer service they can do nothing... I can PAY AGAIN to get my mechanic to take it off and then take it back to a nearby shop for a replacement (that may not even work... because customer service are not even sure it's the right one now!) and then PAY the mechanic AGAIN to fit the new one (so AT LEAST an extra £120 for the having to have the mechanic to come out twice more!) OR I can go through 'warranty' - PAY for it to be taken off and they will come and collect, send it back to the manufacturer and then raise a claim - which will take around 28days. I am not entitled to a refund in either of the cases because... wait for it... it's been put on the car. So - I point out to senior manager at customer services that it's impossible to know if an alternator works or is faulty WITHOUT putting it on the car... He agrees... but still can't do anything! I have never known anything so ridiculous in my life. BEWARE of using this company - they aren't even sure that the parts they are supplying are the right ones - and if it's found that they are wrong or faulty, they have no way of sorting appropriately!

written by Gregoryww1992 on 05/05/2022

1st of April, brought a radiator for my vehicle, radiator did not fit so returned to Thornton Heath branch. Now came to fight for a refund! 7 calls later to 5th of May still no refund only to be told it’s not their problem anymore? Absolutely pathetic service. My business will not use Euro Car Parts again.

I’m a trader ordered a radiator that they had in stock ordered it at 12.20 it’s now 15.00 no sign of it rang them to see where it is and the reply was sorry we haven’t sent it yet so I’ve lost 3 hours labour time and to make matters worse they are only 2.5 miles away Terrible delivery service no wonder they stopped the £5 refund for late delivery they would go bust

Trickdicky53's Response to kenny1958's Review

Written on: 25/04/2023

This is almost exactly the same as my experience when I wanted a rear window wiper for my Skoda Yeti. I confirmed the price online (but did not order) and instead called in at the Stevenage branch to find the price over the counter was dramatically higher! This was my only experience of Euro Car Parts, but having read these reviews it will probably be my last. Bought a wiper from Halfords instead.

“Company with standards or ethics”

★☆☆☆☆

written by assemidrees on 02/07/2021

Bought a battery about 2 years ago and the guy at the counter told me I don’t need the receipt and all they need is my registration number for my 3years warranty. Went yesterday as the battery is dying already and been told sorry we can’t do anything without the receipt. Cheap company with no standard and no ethics and will never ever use again and will tell everyone I know to never use them.

“Zero Customer Service, Avoid”

★☆☆☆☆

written by brannersbb on 30/09/2020

I originally placed an order on the 18th May with next day delivery, they only delivered half my order which I realised I had ordered the wrong product. I emailed the next day custservice (at)eurocarparts.com to inform of the mistake and for return instructions. I also asked that the full order be refunded and not to send the rest of the order. I then sent a second email to custservice (at)eurocarparts.com which is listed on their website to ask for a resolution. To date, I have received zero communication from Euro Cart Parts regarding my order. Extremely horrible lack of any customer service and only sent half the order in the first place. Just avoid

“Non Existent Customer Service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by jbFlood460 on 21/08/2020

Customer service with Euro Car Parts is totally non-existent. Emailed initially on 15 June 2020 and have periodically chased since, not one single reply has been received. Their website and social channels now appear to be offline and unavailable too... For me anyway, it would seem as though they have blocked me somehow. I say that because if I try to access their websites via a VPN they work fine! Hmm. Small Claims Court it is! AVOID.

“Never going here again ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Welshmun on 04/08/2020

To summarise, waited over a month and then got an email asking me to review product I didn’t have yet, emailed various amounts of times to the customer service address they provide no reply, went to the branch and was told to contact customer service ? So I was going in circles, they gave me a phone number with a ridiculous waiting time on it, found online chat which kept cutting out and I couldn’t speak to anyone Finally returned to branch demanded I have a refund or the product, I was told they can’t do anything until finally the branch told me they can give me the items and was told they tried delivering twice but no one was home, (someone is always home in my house and I’m on furlough! So that’s completely incorrect) I was lucky but I imagine other people may not be BUYER BEWARE If I pay for something I expect a service to be provided this companies customer service isn’t just bad it’s basically non-existent

“Preston Delivery Wrong”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 22/07/2020

I received a delivery today 3 days late (I did pay for next day) but not overly bothered by that, the van driver (Euro) handed the items over and I noticed they had given me 4 wheel bearings instead of 4 kits (8 wheel bearings, seals, lock washers, hub nuts) so I showed him the order and delivery note and what had been delivered, he was nice enough and said speak to the office they will sort it out and get them to you, I then waited on the phone for 15 minutes and spoke with the Preston branch to which he replied you got your order be happy with that or we can issue a refund and you will need to drop the parts back to us and then apply to head office for a refund, wow just drop off the missing parts, nope not my problem was the reply your options are refund or shut up and take the hit, I will never deal with these muppets again and will stick with Andrew Page.

I recently purchased online an incorrect car battery from sister company Carparts4less The Hayes branch manager was very helpful and proposed that I come to his store and exchange without my obtaining authority at the same price which was a good deal including a bonus discount I came the next morning and exchanged with no problems and the staff were cheerful and courteous All in all a very good service

“Not a good experience,”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Veterans on 12/05/2020

Ordered my parts 25th April, paid for next day delivery because was car was in pieces and wanted it done quick, so thinking I would get my parts 27th April latest, nothing gave it a few more days nothing, I tried the chat on their website, but there were 173 people in the queue, so tried to phone daily, and use the chat, eventually I got through to customer services the lad was very nice and told me I had to speak to the Edinburgh depot, which I duly did when I told the lad my problem, he said he would phone me back, two and a half hours later nothing so I phoned again and he put me through to his colleague who said we will deliver it on Monday quote {we have loads of parts for your area}, so you will get it Monday, so Monday afternoon no parts had arrived, phoned them again and the lad told me he had been overruled by his manager and the parts will not be delivered today so I told him what to do with his parts, and cancelled my order, phoned a rival company and the parts were delivered first thing the following day they cost a little more but i least i got them, I will not use Euro car parts again they do not deserve to be in buisness because of the poor service, they appear to their customers with contempt

I am returning a pair of shocks, by courier from Ireland as they failed the DOE test here on Peugeot Expert Van 2002 1.9d. I paid to have them fitted, now I have to pay again to have them fitted and I have no van. I must pay, to have van retested and that leaves me out of pocket again. What are the chances, of them replacing faulty shocks and will I get any justice? Reading all the reviews, it doesn't look good and I have no van either?

Hi eddie, One failed the test and the other on way out. Oil leaking from shock, I am no mechanic and only go on what the test states. I have to send shocks, back by courier and have to have them refitted and retested. If they decide, I am not to get a replacement or refund? Then, I have no van and I must pay garage to get them refitted and pay to get retest done. That is two payments, for one set of shocks and the fee for retest. I must send paperwork, you'd swear it were a pair of shocks made of gold and I was trying to pull a fast one? The van had shocks in them, for 12 years and these only lasted four months? Bah Humbug!

s by Euro Car Parts are faulty, then under the consumer protection act they are legally bound to replace them or give you a refund. they will be able to claim the cost back from the manufacturer. If you have incurred extra labour costs or other out of pocket expenses then Euro Car Parts are duty bound to deal with the manufacturer on your behalf. This is because your contract is with the supplier not the manufacturer.
