I ordered 2 pair of glasses, 1 pair readers and the other 'occupational' lenses,basically another word for varifocals but in 2 parts the glasses have a different prescription as opposed to 3.Right from the start Id informed the optician my reaction to varifocals in the past and that I suffered from at time,severe vertigo and glasses like this in the past have made me go very dizzy and sick. I totally believe this person! I had a similar experience and so did my neighbour. The manageress was very intimidating and sold me glasses that was not suitable. I felt bad as she made me believe I was making a fuss. Not nice at all. I'll go to Boots in future.

“Tescos opticians Hull store.”

Went into tescos opticians HULL store to get my perscription to change the lenses on my current glasses because of a scratch on my old glasses (knowing my perscription has not changed) the optician insisted that it has changed slightly. I proceeded to buy 2 new pairs of glasses with the new perscription which were incorrect when picked up and I tryed to wear them. Tesco's opticians,you really, really need to get your act together regarding managers and customer service. If Tescos was owned by Richard Branson who's customer service is one of the best in the world, this would NEVER happen! After my own experience in another town (one with the crooked spire in the midlands) I'll put anyone off who mentions Tesco opticians! Poorly trained egotistical bully's! This person should have done what I did and stuck to my guns and demanded a refund there and then..workerd for me!!!

“be careful with lenses”

lengthy wait despite timed appointment, be careful with lens selection as mine were expensive but perform as cheap and nasty, have to pay in full on ordering, raised issues with store staff but got nowhere, had to chase up delivery via national call centre myself, found out they had been ready for collection for week, gave up and will never use again… Read Full Review

I have booked for a contact lenses initial test at Tesco Basildon. I was told I will receive a free trial lenses that I should I try and let that know before ordering extra pairs. I was told I will be informed by phone when they come. I never received a call even after 15 days and when I contacted the store I was told they did not receive teh trail yet and will reorder. AVOID THIS PLACE!. I bought a pair of glasses here 10 months ago, cost nearly £300. The frames started to disintergrate on Saturday night. I went to the store on Sunday afternoon, the girl on duty was unhelpful and could do nothing without her managers say so, the stores duty manager was the same. “Poor quality glasses, misleading on prices ”

For God's sake just ignore the rid comments/reveiws because unless they are talking about a different tracks they are wrong. Sunderland tesco does the best eye test. I took up the offer of a free eye test at Tesco's Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire branch. While the booking and appointment system worked flawlessly, the eye test itself was not quite so. I recently purchased 2pairs of varifocals from the Knocknagoney store in Belfast and can only praise the staff for their efficiency. My varifocals, 1 pair of glasses and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses arrived 10 days after being ordered. The prescription seems to be spot on and I am delighted with my new specs. October 23: I took my glasses in for repair at Orpington. Told that: It will take 7-10 days. I gave all contact details: home and mobile names plus email address October 24: Glasses sent to lab? Day 10+ NO contact at all from ANYONE at Tesco. I went to Tesco, Orpington - NO glasses. I visited Orpington and insisted that they find out what has happened. had my eyes tested at Tesco Doncaster was told I had cataracts in both eyes and reffered to hospital after three weeks of worry received appointment and saw consultant who said WHO TOLD YOU YOU HAD CATARACTS /? and that I did not have them and advised me to have another test somewhere else ! i did and not only was told i did not have cataracts but my new prescription was different .......so no would not recommend to any one… Read Full Review
