Worse customer service. I notice that they have turned off reviews on Facebook, so am trying to find ways to help other brides not have the same experience as me. I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from here in May, to arrive late August/early September. After chasing it up on numerous occasions, I have now been informed 2 of the dresses will not arrive till 10 days before my wedding. Considering they said 2 appointments for alterations are needed, not sure how they expect that to work. It is made worse by the lack of apology. I had to suggest that we make a plan, also when I asked for their complaints policy I was told I could have a compliments slip. It has proved impossible to talk to anyone in head office. A quick search online & I now realise I am not alone in my experience of this company. Please avoid.

The experience was fantastic the staff were lovely really put me at ease wish I could put the lady that helped me but can't will take a card in and give it directly to her this was at the Leeds branch fantastic service x

Walked in went up the stairs no staff greeted us so tried to look around... Got asked to leave by a very rude lady saying they were busy ... Another lady also came in just after and also got told to leave. Bad bad customer service.

A few days before my wedding I was forced to pay over £200 that I was not only not expecting to pay but was assured I wouldn't have to. The store, apparently, made a mistake. At my expense. Then just to make sure I definitely regretted my decision to use Berketex Brides- the head office were rude and threatening. They were utterly unprofessional and I was held to ransom in that I either paid (the ever increasing) amount or they would not let me have my dress, literally 3 days before my wedding. I have no idea how they get away with it when they are such a big company and feel this is my only form of retaliation. They act like a seriously budget retailer but they charge no less than the hundreds of other bridal shops. I wish I had chosen one of the many others :(

Would just like to say a big thank you to leeds store x my daughter and I visited. Last week and tried on numerous dresses. Its true that when you find the one you wil know !!! Both my daughter and I had tears in our eyes when she tried on the dress the shop assistant was so lovely it was a perfect moment xwe ordered the dress which will be ready after christmas.we are so looking forward to re visiting in january along with bridesmaids. Thank you once again Berketex leeds looking forward to the fittings !!!

awful service THROUGHOUT, take your money elsewhere as these people will take it off you then dont want to know YOU. they arent interested in weddings ,ONLY interested in ripping people OFF. do more research online.

I ordered my dress in october 2010 for my wedding in august 2011. The service was great when i ordered it. However in July i rang to find out how everything was coming along. They told me the dress would be in by the end of month, however it was not. Rearranged for beginning of august, bare in mind wedding was 20th Aug, did measurements and was told dress would be altered in shop. Arranged appointment for 16th August, phone call in morning to say dress hadnt arrived, went to shop they didnt know where it was. We sat in the shop for 6 hours, they told me to come back another day. They expected us to go round other shops to see if we could get a dress off the peg! I had paid £2000 for the dress. Refused to leave, made them call head office, staff extremley rude. Eventually it turned up in london (when it wasnt going out of the shop) funny that! It had tried to be delivered on the monday but they were shut. A dress maker came from Manchester to do the last min alterations. There were a lot of tears as the staff were not bothered and i was getting married in 4 days. I got my dress in the end and it was beautiful but the worst bit of the whole wedding prep. Wrote to head office and they offered to pay for it to be dry cleaned after the wedding! Do not use them, as soon as they have your money thats it.

I went there 2 days ago and I wasnt really sure what kind of dress I am looking for. After trying on 4th dresses the shop assistant 'nicely' suggested that maybe I should try antoher shop because in her opinion they dont have wedding dress that I am looking for. Although at the start of the visit I pointed out that I dont have a clear idea of the style of the dress I would prefer, she did not offer any other dresses except of those I've chosen, even ignoring the choices that my mum and my friend have made for me. I would therefore not recommend this shop to anyone, although the manager I spoke to on the phone was very nice and helpful. I did not feel welcome in the store an so the visit upset me.

My daughter and i went to the Leeds store approx 2yrs ago. the dress was chosen and at the time the staff friendly and helpful. She contacted them a couple of weeks ago to see if the dress had arrived and found out they ordered a size smaller than the sample one she tried on which fitted perfectly. We now have to wait for another 2-3 weeks till she can try it on, as not yet arrived in the shop, by then it will be 3weeks till the wedding. !!! we are not impressed and hoping that it will fit. The assistant on the phone was not helpful and said not to worry everything will be fine... really..no doubt they will want to charge for alterations too.

I have to say I was disappointed by the service I received at berketex. I found the staff to be pushy, and despite me saying I had a budget of £1000, found there wasnt a great deal of choice under my budget. I still tried some dresses on as my mum said she would contribute if i really loved something, but to say the dresses were expensive, i wasnt impressed with the quality. I have now choosen my dress elsewhere!

My Daughter got married on Saturday , we bought her dress from Berketex brides in leeds and i have to say i am disgusted with the treatment she recieved,on the morning of the wedding myself and my mum arrived at my daughters house to help her dress only to find that 1 hour before he wedding car was due to pick her up that a panel was missing from the back of the dress, we couldnt get her into the dress without it, we rang them , was told they would borrow one from another dress and send it in a taxi for us , would have taken 20 mins, the girl on phone said we will ring you when its on its way, waiting waiting waitng , no phone call , 45 mins till car due i ring them , mother of the bride , only to be told on the phone by staff that they were not prepared to put it in a taxi and that some one would have to collect it , a round trip of 30 mins plus , when i asked why they wouldnt put it in a taxi she refused to say just kept repeating im not prepared to put it in a taxi , when i asked for head offices phone number i was told well i can give you it but it wont do you any good as there is no one there, we hit a brick wall and the staff member on the phone was rude and arrogant, in the end our florist turned up to drop off the flowers to see my daughter in tears and when it was explained to her she then took me in her car to get the panel, mad dash later, bridal car there waiting , we start to attach panel to find it didnt even fit the dress , the poppers didnt even match up , but we had no choice we had to just hold it in place , lace the corset and hope for the best, it was disgusting and i would warn anyone thinking of using berketex , Think Again
