Hi guys - many thanks for your reviews of the Freeway II - I was about to make apurchase but on the basis of your input I think I will not bother with the Powakaddy - and go for Motorcaddy instead

We have 2 power caddies. My wife's Freeway bought 2007 is great but my Freeway II bought just 15 months ago is appalling.Same faults as listed from previous customers. Speed 4 too slow and 5 too fast. Not able to read display screen due to misting up. Keeps cutting out and resets to '0' - have to disconnect battery each time to restore supposedly normal functions, have given up using it and resorted to carrying clubs until it is repaired to my satisfaction.

This was my first power trolley and have returned it as not fit for purpose.
Here the good points:
It looks pretty in white.
It folds away neatly.
The battery keeps its charge well.
The digital yard marker is quite useful if you are on the fairway.
..and the bad:
It will tip over backwards if going uphill.
The digital display is hard to read in bright sunlight.
The display mists over with only the slightest hint of rain.
Speed 4 is too slow and speed 5 is too fast; there is nothing in... (read more)

Powakaddy FW II and Deluxe III bag.
First power trolley, don't know what more you could want from a power trolley, easy assembly easy to use. A small amount of effort required to adjust the front wheel to make it run in a straight line (but at least you have the option) Being able to measure the length of your shots is a nice touch and can only help you improve your game. After being a bag carrier for years I am amazed at how much energy you have left for the last few holes. Had to decide... (read more)

I bought my Freeway II in March 2010 and on Saturday, November 13th it broke down for the 3rd time. Three times I have had to push it manually around hilly courses. I await their response with interest. (read more)

When you are playing in Kampenhout (flat terrain) and your expensive Powakaddy Freeway II breaks down, you may survive pushing it for a few holes. If the same happens in Clervaux, Luxemburg, a very hilly terrain, you better stop playing. Your arms will hurt too much to properly hit a ball.
I bought my Powakaddy Freeway II in April 2009. It broke down on a dozen occasions. Sometimes it would start up again the day after. It probably needs a good nights rest? It has been back to the shop... (read more)

bought a FW2 about 3 months ago its already been back 3 times - used the distance button for 30 yards walked back to the medal tee on the 15th at my course and the powakaddy was on its way down the fairway well past 30 yards it eventually tipped over only for the plastic bracket to break leaving the trolley in bits. Got it back and week later noticed the bottom of the screen was cracked and water was getting in this crack must be due to miss handling as it was intact when i handed it back... (read more)

I can only echo everything said by the other Freeway II reviewers. Buttons, speeds, controls - you name it. I must admit that as yet I have not suffered a broken axle. The worst thing so far was when I stopped to take a shot and (fortunately I had parked so that it was in my vision) at the top of the back swing it took off. Sorry, but this product is an absolute disgrace; Powakaddy should recall the lot, refund our money and throw them all into the Mariana Trench. It is hard to find words... (read more)
