“A long wait for burnt food”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 12Roche on 30/11/2016

Stop at the Centurion 'table table' restaurant on Watling Street, Wilncote, Tamworth. Placing the order was reasonably fast, then, the drinks came and then we waited and waited (difficult to keep three young, hungry children entertained). After 45 minutes, I ask if our two roast dinners (vegetarian option) and two children's meals were likely to be served and, if not, I would pay for the drinks and go. The meals came about 2 minutes later but the roast dinners must have been keep warm for a long time because the base of the vegetarian SunRed tarts were burnt nearly brown/black, and very hard with only the top edible. I received little in the way of an apology, paid (I declined the gratuity box on the card payment) and left as fast as I could, vowing never to set foot in a Brewers Fayre restaurant (a misnomer by any stretch of the imagination) again, no matter how hungry I am. A few humble apologies may have helped ease my frustration of the treatment we had been subjected to.

went to the one at bognor regies to say this was the worst meal i ever tried as could not eat it i payed #21 60p for what was beef chilli and rice more like a spoonful rice couple crisps and some sort of what i call the cheapest dog food gravy you could ever imagine my cat food at home had more meat in it as there none in this at all just some sort brown slim with chilli on top cost neary 10 pounds i was just as unfortunate as i ordered chicken and chips and salad yes it was 8oclock sunday night but even then for nearly 12 pounds the chips look like they been microwaved reheated the salad look like it been out all day and as for the chicken just tough and dry as bone being disguised by some lump bacon and cream on top well i ate couple mouthfuls and left the rest so about 3pound a mouthfull you had to pay before you got your meal if i had not i just got up and walk away and left it all a total rip off i did not complain as the staff look about as interested as i could not be bothered to argue my point stay away from this place make weatherspoons food 5* and the price for it total rip off could do with some staff training as well

“wrong info”

Looked on internet to see what chef counter was on Wednesdays it was burgers and hot dog thought was great booked table all ok turned up to restaurant and noticed not much on counter so when time to order was told no chefs counter which I was disappointed was having a trial on car very instead I was told a.there was nothing mentioned about this on internet or when we booked in and also the menu was still showing chefs counter .we decided to stay and had our meal which was ok I had the new York burger which i found the chesses was welded to burger the burger over cooked and chips tasted like re heated in microwave we deciced to try the take home pudding as getting late and kids had school in morning I understand certain items would be excluded but was told what was available .we ordered the beoffee pie and and sharing fondue .we got the boxes and went home to find the banana was bruised which we had to throw most away and the strawberry some where over best before date which again we had to throw away also there was no caramel sauce we wasn't told that some items would not able to take home if was then I thought would be cheaper if they are offering a service they need to have facilities to cater for this eg pots with lids for sauces most other take away shops do

“Appalling experience”

★☆☆☆☆

written by nickst17 on 13/02/2016

Brewer's Fayre, Broadland Business Park, Norwich. Went in and requested that we were not seated in the area with loads of kids. Were led to the conservatory which was full of kids, said we wanted a table where the re were no groups of kids........told they 'might' have another table as they had lots of bookings........the place was about a quarter full, if that. Ordered starters, they arrived - fine, then had to wait 40 minutes for table to be cleared. Ten mins later had to ask where food was........when it arrived, words failed me. Child's bangers and mash portion was the smallest I have ever seen and poorly presented. Hardly any mash but swimming in revolting gravy. Partner has lasagne........he asked for garlic bread but got salad. My mixed grill was supposed to come with 4oz steak........no steak on the plate. The waiter who served us was a joke.........smirk on his cfae all evening, full of his own importance and clueless about customer service.......and needs bringing down a peg or two. Adjacent table were served their desserts before their main course plates had been taken away.......you could not make it up. That aside, the place was freezing and looked a mess......nine of the chairs matched. The manager tried to sort it out but his inability to manage a team of people was evident. If the regional manager reads this, i would suggest that you act - soon!!!

“Visits to Bankhead Gate Glenrothes and Duloch Park...”

written by coaster3317 on 20/01/2016

Have had occasion to use both of the above outlets in the last two weeks and have to say that the standard of food is deplorable, plates are cold, food is cold and half cooked and it can only be a matter of time before someone is taken ill as a direct result of the standard of food supplied. Will never enter any establishment olwned by this outfit.

“food was disgusting ”

written by Jessiex224 on 26/04/2015

Food was poor. Instant mash was disgusting. In the menu it said creamy mash the only thing that mash saw was water. Pie was like a brick. First and last time I eat there. Eat some where else people.

“Ruined 100th birthday party”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Howcouldyou on 16/03/2015

Saturday 14th March clayton green Oldham we ordered a table to seat 22 guests to celebrate my aunties special birthday. We informed staff we would be bringing table decorations for down the centre of the table. In there wisdom the staff had arranged separate tables so guests were spread about. This ruined her night and the planned dec's rendered useless. We wanted this to be so special for her as you would 100 years old is special, your establishment even got a mention in the local newspaper in the piece they wrote about her coming 100th birthday. We will certainly not ever book anymore family celebrations with you. Terribly disappointed.

“Terrible service, mediocre food and no reply to my...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 18/01/2015

Met two friends and their two children at restaurant for pre Christmas meal and ordered our food at 1.50pm. Waited a considerable time so went to investigate. I found a waitress in another part of the restaurant with part of our order and directed her to our table. Two people had their food and ten minutes later I went again to investigate where the other four meals were. Two of the party finished their food and a waitress at 1.40pm appeared to say the order had been lost - did we still want the food. Felt we had no choice but asked to see manager who did not appear. The rest of the order for four people appeared at 2.50pm. The food was mediocre, in comparison, to the same meal eaten the following day in another restaurant 10 minutes walk from the Brewers Fayre. At my second request the manager did appear and offered us free deserts but we had to leave and had had enough of the whole disaster. Eight days ago, I complained to Brewers Fayre about the service but to date have not had the courtesy of a reply.

last night myself and a friend went out for dinner and a catch up, we chose brewers fayer in bicester, the night started out great we picked a table and ordered our food, our starters were bought out in good time and tasted yummy. our waitress collected our plates and asked if we had ordered mains we said yes this was at 20:45........we proceeded to wait for out mains at 21:30 we were then asked again if we had ordered mains we again said yes!!! at 21:45 our main courses were bought out to us, when we recieved our food the chicken was burnt, the chips were either undercooked or overcooked and the salad was brown! we had been offered free puddings as good will but after waiting an hour for our food and the state of the main there was no way we were going to wait around for pudding!!!!! i wasnt impressed with the place and felt as if the had just forgotten us, people were coming in AFTER us and had had their starters and mains in the time it took for us to just get our mains!!!!

“Good Food, Service and Overall Value”

★★★★★

written by Piper1974 on 16/06/2014

First time visit to Walsall location. Started off with tomato soup and ciabatta bread/butter. Boyfriend had the smothered chicken. He was quite happy with his entree. I had the all day breakfast burger, which I enjoyed. Finished off dinner with cheesecake, which we split since were were about to bust, we were so full. Service was attentive, prices good. A pleasant experience and will definitely go back.

My visit to Clayton Green Oldham for sunday cavery was terrible. Food was terrible. The meat was fatty and seemed to be pumped with water. The limited choice of vegatables available even at 1pm were cold and hard, the potatoes were cold and leathery. Instant mash and gravey was flavourous. I am considering reporting to environmental health. Overall I would not recommend this even to my enemy. I have felt I'll since this meal as have my family.

“Appalling Service and extremely disappointed customer”

★☆☆☆☆

written by George53 on 18/03/2014

Appaling service from this establishment, was not busy when we arrived nor did it get busy, ordered meals for daughter, wife and myself,, wife had sunday carvery, mydaughter ordered cheese burger meal myself fish and chips, wife ate salad, soup of the day, carvery followed by dessert. it was only when the dessert was delivered to the table that a member of staff aapproached us since our arrival, asked about my meal and my daughters after several drinks at £4.20 we were told they hadn't been started after an hours wait, my wife ate alone and we went home to have scrambled egg on toast, would strongly recommended you go to a harvester or somewhere else, at least they are busy for a good reason and you will have your meal together

There were 6of us and we all enjoyed the main meal. Some of us were dissappointed disappointed be told that there was no Apple pie due to none being delivered. I must say that this was the first time that this has happened and the only reason that it was given 4stars. Thanks server was very apologetic.
