“Buzz 3 is a good buy”

★★★★☆

written by BiffyisWright on 09/07/2012

We did our research on prams. We read reviews. We read which? and we went up to Kiddicare in Peterborough to test drive. I was set on a Bill&Ted until we got there and whilst testing buggies (travel systems) we fell in love with the Quinny (4 at the time). It was only as we were about buy it that we actually tried the Buzz 3. Wow, it cornered like it was on rails - perfect for our badly designed Tesco's (with it's pillars in the middle of the milk aisle). We've now had it 3 years and it is still great. The tires are worn and the fabric has taken a beating, but I still think it's great (even when I compare it to the iCandy's and Buggaboo's our friends have). It's been taken up and down the country and collapses very well in our car (take off the wheels and it's almost flat!). Yes, I recommend it to friends and they recommend it to themselves when they test drive it. All in all a great buy!

It is a waste of time the weels stick making it move in the wrong direction. The straps are not long enough and whenever my son sleeps in it he wakes up sweating because of the stupid materail and the seat is not big enough and the brakes have a mind of there own it was good at first but after the first few months it just broke i suppose starting to squeak i would not recomend it to anyone it is a waste of money and time. If i new how bad it was i would have definitely NOT have bought it

PLEASE don't buy this pushchair! Dorel/Quinny rely on first time parents who don't look into the awful reviews this system has!

Endless problems with it- chassis tends to bend to the side, seats are difficult to get on and off, really heavy to push, springy chassis, veers to one side all the time, pushchair seat is strange shape so when reclined fully the childs feet are up in the air!!

I'm currently trying to take ToysR Us to the small claims court as its been returned twice and still useless.

First timers: forget how cool the Quinny looks, get something thats practical and well made. The Buzz is entirely form over function! Who cares how good it looks when you struggle with the damn thing everyday afterall??!

“QUINNY BUZZ 4 - Parents of other half bought this for...”

★★☆☆☆

written by collettemartin on 13/10/2010

QUINNY BUZZ 4 - Parents of other half bought this for us as a gift for our first baby. They told us they had one for their youngest and they were a good make. I wasn't sold on it straight away as it was effectively a 3-wheeler (even though it has 4 wheel, to at the front at close together) and I don't trust 3 wheelers. This is AWFUL! Too expensive for a pram that it not easy to use at all! If you need to get on public transport then forget it, this is way too big. Also if you need to flatten the pram to get onto a bus - if you have a young child not old enough to walk or more importantly: stand still - You can't! You need two hands to put this pram down and even then it is extremely stiff! Want to change the cover to the spare seat you got with the pram? No problem, give you're self half a day and be prepared to swear a lot as this is no picnic! After no more than 2 months the brakes loosened and eventually broke, the front wheels stiffened and refused to swivel, the rain cover lasted about 6 months before being replaced AND you're child gets soaked before you even have a chance to put it on in sudden weather changes - only thing annoying good about this pram is that I found is very sturdy - why annoying? Well it means I can't just push it down a flight of stairs (child not included in that scenario) and claim I need a new one because it's completely totalled.

“Quinny Buzz 4. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Why? OK -...”

Quinny Buzz 4. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Why? OK - let's cut to the chase. You buy a pram in order to transport your child from A-B. A key feature must therefore be it's ability to move from A-B. Buy a Quinny Buzz 4 and you will be sorely disappointed. Why? PUNCTURES. Plural. Double plural. We have had this woeful piece of equipment for 6 months now, and I do not exagerate when I say that we are on our third set of puncture repair blisters (packs of 10 min.), second set of inner tubes - both wheels - and shortly, in despair, I intend to purchase two spares to keep with the useless piece of scrap as permanent spares. For Pete's sake - it's a pram not an F1 car - why does it need pneumatic tyres? Let me tell you - it does not, or if it does, then perhaps Quinny should provide a pit-crew as I am frankly bored witless with taking the wheels off myself. You have been warned........

“I was bought the Quinny Buzz 3 pram just over a year...”

★★★★☆

written by on 26/07/2010

I was bought the Quinny Buzz 3 pram just over a year ago along with the Dreami, the Maxi Cosi car seat and all the hidden extras that go with It. At first I absolutely loved it! The travel system was fantastic and everyone commented on how lovely it was. It is incredibly comfy and sturdy and it is so easy to manouver around shops etc. It folds up easily yet remains pretty bulky! I am now shopping for a new stroller as my son is just too heavy to push around in it. Not to mention my tyre literally BLEW up, I had to go into a bike shop and beg them to fix it. Had to walk home with a foam tyre on, my retailer wants 28 pound for a new tyre which will take 28 days. So now I have no pram. Am quite disappointed as it was ridiculously expensive and Quinny are meant to represent quality. There are hundreds of them on eBay going for pennies.

written by on 10/04/2010

Terrible, terrible buggy. The seat doesn't recline, it simply tips back, so the sleeping child's legs are in the air! Very uncomfortable. The wheels are so wide as well that its very difficult to get in and our of door ways. The whole thing bounces too, which might be soothing to a small baby but definitely not for an older baby trying to drink some juice! The whole thing is hateful, its really just a fashion statement and I think they are more about vanity than the child's comfort to be honest.

“I brought he quinny buzz after much consideration in...”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 08/04/2010

I brought he quinny buzz after much consideration in Dec 2009,its now Aptril 2010 and its already going back to be repaired!! the chassis has started to collapse when being pushed, disgracefull for a pushchair costing a small fortune.I also brought the maxi cosi car seat and dremi cosi, which are both fine although you need to be a octopus to remove the car seat from the frame, and the rain cover is tricky to put on the dremi in a hurry.I also purchased the iso fix base for the car seat which i love, makes getting the seat in and out really easy no fiddling around with seat belts and once the indicators go green you know its fitted correctly. The folding mechanism is quite tricky to master especially if you've had a casarean like me and storage is terrible,I purchased the shopping basket extra to give a little more space as the buzz box is useless, mine is stored in the box I don't even use it! The quinny is lovely to push but the front wheels seem to have a mind of their own and the back wheels are wide and quite often won't fit through small isles in shops. My quinny fits in the boot of my toyota yaris so thats not a problem,i have heard the brakes can also be a problem but i've not encountered this..I have spoken to customer services at dorell who weren't particularly helpfull concerning my pushchair and just told me to return it to the shop where it was purchased to be sent back for repair, not even an apology! So i would definatly recommend buying from a reputable shop or you may encounter further problems. I have recieved alot of compliments about my quinny and i agree it looks fab but all in all very disapointed and won't be purchasing another quinny in the future!!!

“I love my Quinny Buzz. Had been very undecided because...”

★★★★★

written by on 29/03/2010

I love my Quinny Buzz. Had been very undecided because of the general bad reviews on it, so decided to go for a second hand to prevent from big money loss. I got a 2007 model, with a 8 mo. girl: the regular seat is just fine: she may be too tight at 18 months though, and the straps yes are short with winter clothes on, but these are easily solvable problems.
I fit it in my peugeot 107: yes the smallest car on earth! by leaving the seat on, street facing, wheels off: it stays nicely in front of the front seat, thus having the boot free. It can stay in the boot also, wheels off.
The net underneath is big enough to carry my 5yo rollers with the full set of protections; I use the Buzz box for the raincover and some diaper change. Then I have my usual shoulder bag and can take my 5yo by the hand.
Baby loves it: she sleeps in it, and at restaurants I do not have to worry about taking another seat for her since in the Buzz she's very close to table height. I got the outdoor front wheels and will enjoy these first days of spring jogging with my baby in the open air.

I found this review very helpful because...I too am looking at purchasing a 2007 Buzz 3, used for $125. My son is almost 6 months old weighing in at 24 pounds. I only wonder if he will outgrow too soon. I love the look of the Quinny....I really would like the Henrik model. To only dream! Thanks for all the info and advice. This really helped me decide to purchase it.

“I love my Quinny!! ”

★★★★★

written by on 23/02/2010

I love my Quinny!!
We recently bought the 2010 model for our 9 month old son. This is the third pushchair we have been through thanks to the other two being real disappointments. After reading some bad reveiws about the small seat unit and tight straps I was beginning to worry as our boy is very big for his age. (27lb and 82cm long)
Thankfully Quinny have sorted the problem by providing an XL seat unit and extra long straps which will definitely allow my son to use the pushchair for as long as he needs.
The Buzz is very easy to put up and down and an absolute dream to push. The wheels easily slide off the chasis if you're tight for storage space.
I can easily fit the Quinny chasis with the wheels still attatched into the boot of my peugeot 206. I then put the seat unit on the backseat with the seatbelt around it. Yes it's not exactly ideal but how easy is getting in and out of a car with a baby and a pushchair ever going to be?
The one thing the Buzz does lack is storage space. You can fit your pump, raincover and a few other small bits in the Buzzbox and then about 2 carrier bags in the basket.
For me, what the Buzz lacks in some areas it more than makes up for in others. If you're after a light, easy to steer, parent facing, all terrain and stylish pushchair than this is definitely the one for you.

“When I first bought the Quinny buzz 3 in 2009 I loved...”

★★☆☆☆

written by HannahsMom on 12/01/2010

When I first bought the Quinny buzz 3 in 2009 I loved it, The car seat was easy to fit with the adaptors and the pram is so easy to put up with the flick of one flap with just one hand, and moderately easy to put back down (definately not with one hand though). The pram is easy to steer and light enough to get up curbs etc: As my daughter got bigger though I started to wish I had just bought a cheaper pram. The seat is not very deep, so my daughter could not hold herself up and practise sitting at first. When the seat was in the most upright position, allowing her to sit up and see everything, then she had to wear the straps otherwise she would fall out. The straps as mentioned by other people are very tight, so were hard to use with her winter clothing, so by 8 months I was battling to have her in the upright position, as she would wriggle out without being strapped in and she would cry when I tried strapping her in as she was so restricted and they were so tight on her.
The sun canopy clips are very flimsy and I have not got them to sctually fit properly since putting them on, so it now looks permanantly lopsided. The shopping bag is very small, so you have to hang things on the handles which means the pram often falls over if your shopping is too heavy. It takes up most of the room in my boot, so fitting in a large shop with the pram is impossible, so we have now removed the back cover of the boot so we can push the pram in upright giving us more room. In the end, I just don't think the easy unfold system was worth the money and trouble the pram now causes me.

“I absolutely LOVED my Quinny Buzz (3 wheeler 2008...”

★★★☆☆

written by on 27/10/2009

I absolutely LOVED my Quinny Buzz (3 wheeler 2008 model), I bought it with the Dreamy Carry cot, Maxi-cosi car seat and all the extras. I bought it in an uncommon colour too, which gave it that wow factor. I was so pleased with it initially...

Unfortunately nearly 10 months on I'm looking for something else. Whilst the Quinny looks great, has a soft squishy seat for baby and is great with the car seat it falls short on so many other points:

1 - The steering is really heavy now my son is getting heavier, and it seems to steer to one side! I've put him in other pushchairs recently and don't have this problem.

2 - No shopping bag. I am a car user mostly, but when shopping for bits here and there, there is nowhere to but bags. You can buy an under buggy net but its very small and low to the ground.

3 - The rain cover is bulky and fiddly to put on.

4 - The suspension seems to have weakened and its very bouncy and creaky now... only 9 months after buying it at around £600!!!!

5 - The Dreamy Carry cot, is real quality but also really bulky which makes taking it out in the car a bit of problem.

6 - You have to take the seat off to fold it... to be fair this is true with most bigger pushchairs. This sometimes pops back up unless you're holding it in a certain way!

6 - Although I guessed it would be annoying before I bought it, I had no idea how frustrating it would be having to take the wheels off the frame every time I want to put it in my boot (Corsa)... and then put them on back again (with a simple click to be fair) EVERY time I take it out again! Think twice if you have a small car... it will fit but becomes quite annoying!

7 - The harness seems to be quite short and tight... my baby is only 9 months but already he seems 'squashed' in when he's wearing winter clothes.

written by tobiasm on 16/10/2009

The problems other reviewers report about steerability of the Quinny Buzz seem to be specific to the 3 wheeler. I've had the 4 wheeler Quinny Buzz for some time and it's fantastic to steer.

“I bought the quinny buzz pushchair/stroller in 2007,...”

★★★☆☆

written by michelleugwueze on 15/08/2009

I bought the quinny buzz pushchair/stroller in 2007, it was very fashionable and easy to manage, enjoyed every day I used it until my baby got bigger, I cannot use the pushchair, not deep enough and the strap isn't long enough. I believed my baby could use the pushchair for a long time but unfortunately not possible. I have now bought a small stroller, as it is practically impossible to carry my baby in my expensive quinny pushchair. Recently I met someone who informed me that I could request for a deeper seat and a longer strap from this website. I'd like to know how to make the request. I love my Quinny pushchair and would love to carry on using it.

“Quinnys are cool, for sure. Nice design, nice...”

★★☆☆☆

written by degbert on 26/05/2009

Quinnys are cool, for sure. Nice design, nice accessories and the whole thing is easy to assemble and configure how you need it. The car seat is great - very simple to "plug and play", and the main seat is a nice design (especially the rear-facing option, which we loved). No problems so far and on that basis alone it would get top marks.

But you can subtract for the following day-to-day problems -

There's no real solution for a 2nd baby in the set up.
The short strap problem as mentioned by some reviewers is a real issue and only resolved by Quinny themselves, who can supply longer straps if you moan enough. But why are only the tiniest toddlers going to fit? Design flaw?
The big problem for us is that the tyres are practically impossible to pump up because the valve is so ridiculously inaccessible for anything other than a micro-sized pump. It is the source of considerable frustration that a so-called 'designer' buggy has such a basic design flaw. Am I the only user ever to have wanted to pump up the tyres? Don't think so. Compare the valve to those on a Phil&Ted's; trust me its night-and-day in terms of how silly the Quinny design looks.
Also, don't try and take a Quinny on a plane as hand luggage: BA refused on one journey (though were fine with it on the way home). I can imagine what Ryan or Easy would say. It's really too heavy and cumbersome for a plane (so add another 100 quid in your budget for travel buggy).
Finally, another review says the front wheel sticks. It sure does. It makes moving this thing around a bit of a lottery, and to be honest it takes what should be a pleasant experience (wheeling around your pride and joy) into a hassle and a fluster. Parenting is tough enough without this nonsense.

Let's face it, you are not getting a bargain for any of this stuff, so my final comment is that at these prices it should work!!! When things don't work you feel like it's you that's being taken for an uncomfortable ride, not just your offspring.

We got a smaller McLaren for travel purposes and to be honest I look back on the Quinny purchase as a bit of a waste of money. You want the very best for your kids and you think the top price will be the best. Not true I'm afraid. Not always. They are generally quite cool but there are some basic issues that need to be addressed for it to be as practical as we'd all want.

More recently, with another sprog on the way, we've upgraded to a Phil and Ted Sport. There's no comparison, the P&T is not without its own curiosities but is a country mile better. Quinny has some serious competition now and probably need to overhaul their design. There is enough market input!

“I bought the 200/2007 Quinny Buzz Jogger Stroller...”

★★★★☆

written by on 08/05/2009

I bought the 200/2007 Quinny Buzz Jogger Stroller model plus dreami carrycot, car seat and shopping bag etc.

Mainly bought because of simply folding system and ease to re-asemble.

Car seat works great on chassis for poppin in and out of car.

Wish i had never bought the dreami as she was not in it much due to boot space when put in car, easier to just click carseat on chassis and daughter has always been long so was in pushchair at 4 months.

Older model has a large hood great for keeping sun out.

The seat position when facing forward upright is great really deep and she never slouches. Got a stroller silvercross and constantly have to position her in it also she hates it too low down i think and not enough support.

Think chassis could be a little smaller as back wheels can be diff to get through doorways.

Daughter 15mth now and still using it great for going out with my dog as he can be hard work and its more sturdy.

Front wheel for some reason gets stuck in shops and have to kick it back in place annoying only started when she was about a yr old.

Overall i think its a good pushchair compared to those in price range.

“Bought Quinny Buzz Jogger Stroller in 2006/207 with...”

★★★★☆

written by emmaandkirsten on 08/05/2009

Bought Quinny Buzz Jogger Stroller in 2006/207 with dreami carrycot, maxi cosi carseat shopping basket etc.
Large hood is great on this older model keeping baby well shaded from all elements, i have not had t buy a parasol.
Think shopping basket could be larger but then most are small tese days unless you want a silvercoss style.
All the attachments are easily put on or off the chassis and the chassis folds with ease. Some people complain about having to take seat off to fold it down but this seems to be common with most large pushchairs its strollers with fold in one.
Due to my daughter being very long from birth only used the dream carrycot a handful of times out because dont tend to walk drive so much easier to just click carseat on chassis also deami does take up a lot of room in boot so dont really have to buy this. I found it great though for keeping her in downstairs instead of moses basket downstairs.
Do think the chassis is large at the back an have to be careful going through some doors.
Frame has been chucked around in car hardly any makrs whatsoever to it or the wheels had it over a year now.
Have a large dog and hes difficult wouold use nothing else when taking him out its proved to be fab whilst dealing with him pulling etc.
Love the seat unit once my daugther turned 7 or 8mnth turned it round to face outwards so in upright pos. (think should be able to do this either way though). Sits lovely such a deep seat and firm back ever slouches in it.
Bought a stroller expensive one too and she hates it have to keep positioning her as she slouches and looks uncomfrotable.
Set covers easy removable and wash a dream too.
Yes as withall prams travel systems they do get heavier to push as baby gets older but i dont mind she loves the ride.
Don know why it gets such a bad review think its great compared with other systems around for similiar value.

Good value sturdy easy to use and looks good.
