“Terrible place to waste your money in”

Ordered 3 chairs and a table, which you would think, is not that big of an order. Originally had to wait 2 weeks for delivery. Finally received my package today and the table top is missing. First thing that came to my mind, was - "Maybe it's my fault and I somehow did not order the table top". Checked it online and turned out that the top was simply not included in delivery and it was still being "Processed". Thought I should give them a quick call and clear this situation right up. “Don't buy online from IKEA!”

As I write this review, I am currently on the phone and on hold AGAIN, trying to find out when my chairs are going to be collected. I had ordered a table and 2 chairs as a set, which finally arrived a day late and delivered, badly packed, by royal mail. I assembled the table and one chair, only to find that the chair wouldn't fit between the table legs! This despite the website pictures clearly showing that the chairs do fit! “Amazing delivery service!”

Having been refurbishing our entire flat for the past 3 months it's fair to say I've had more than a few nightmare deliveries (B&Q being the worst culprits). However the ikea items came on time as per my allocated slot and the delivery men were polite and courteous whilst lugging 25 heavy boxes up two flights of stairs. give yourself an entire day and evening to be shut inside your flat waiting for delivery. rest assured after waiting from 8am with delivery cut off at 5pm, they will get to you sometime around 6 or 7pm… Read Full Review

Ordered online, expected delivery to be good seeing as its quite expensive! Got a date and wanted to change it...so how do you do that? Answer, forget the normal email contact, online chat or simple web form! Oh no, thats too easy for ikea...how about ring continuously for half an hour at a time to try to speak to someone only to just give up ( which i think is the way they want it) and just accept the date and make arrangements. Having visited Ikea a few months ago my wife and I saw a number of ideal items for our home. Having seen what we wanted in store we decided to order our goods online. “Terrible Customer Service - Does not answer safety issue”

We bought a Besta Burs TV cabinet with tempered Glass top, along with the shelf/cupboard to position above (just like they display in their store). An ornament fell off the shelf and smashed the glass - it literally EXPLODED sending razor sharp shards of glass everywhere - and I mean EVERYWHERE. As I don't have a local IKEA store, I ordered a play kitchen and other items to be delivered. I paid £9 for the privilege, only to be missing 1 essential item. I usually had good opinion about IKEA but recently I've just totally changed my mind after buying 2 wardrobes with delivery to home. I'm waiting over 3 weeks now (when they claim next day delivery) and those lazy drivers are just making excuces that their truck is too big, so they'll come in 2 days in van - and they never came. “Poor service”

I bought 22 pieces of furniture at one time from Ikea and the delivery was on 31Aug13. By the time the furniture came, I found that one item was missing which was very obvious because it's a king size mattress. I decided to buy a sofa from IKEA. Approached a customer services advisor on the shop floor to start the process. It was a terrible experience. The lady who was serving me and my boyfriend did not know what she was doing. In the end she left us wondering around half way through the order and went to serve another customer. “Installing An IKEA Kitchen”

A simple answer to "would you recommend to a friend" is not really a fair question. And the '3 star' rating is not necessarily indicative of quality. You'll understand if you read the whole review. “Money Taken But Still No Goods - IKEA ”

My wife recently purchased a Hemnes Daybed from Ikea. She bought it from the IKEA website and then the horrors began. The item was delivered wrongly with 2 of the 3 boxes needed to make the day bed missing. “Worst refund department ever at Wembley, UK”

Absolute shambles! The ticket machine was broken, and the whole area reminded me of an airport in a third world country! Make sure if you ever buy from Ikea, that you are 110% sure that it is the right product because you seriously do not want to end up in this hell-hole. It's taken 40 minutes so far to get through 9 customer returns. Interestingly (or not surprising), there is no way of leaving feedback on Ikea's website directly, and I tried.
