I decided to buy a sofa from IKEA. Approached a customer services advisor on the shop floor to start the process. It was a terrible experience. The lady who was serving me and my boyfriend did not know what she was doing. In the end she left us wondering around half way through the order and went to serve another customer. “Installing An IKEA Kitchen”

A simple answer to "would you recommend to a friend" is not really a fair question. And the '3 star' rating is not necessarily indicative of quality. You'll understand if you read the whole review. “Money Taken But Still No Goods - IKEA ”

My wife recently purchased a Hemnes Daybed from Ikea. She bought it from the IKEA website and then the horrors began. The item was delivered wrongly with 2 of the 3 boxes needed to make the day bed missing. After waiting hours on the ‘customer service’ helpline I was told staff would search for the missing boxes in their warehouse and it would take 24 hours to complete the search. “Worst experience in a retail store ever!”

My wife and I traveled 2 hours to visit your store in Orlando Florida yesterday dedicating an entire day with one purpose and goal, and that was to purchase an entire bedroom set for our house. I am really glad you posted this review. I was on my way to this location ( 2 hour drive from Jacksonville, FL), but have changed my mind. I will not spend where the customer is not respected.

“Worst refund department ever at Wembley, UK”

Absolute shambles! The ticket machine was broken, and the whole area reminded me of an airport in a third world country! Make sure if you ever buy from Ikea, that you are 110% sure that it is the right product because you seriously do not want to end up in this hell-hole. It's taken 40 minutes so far to get through 9 customer returns. Interestingly (or not surprising), there is no way of leaving feedback on Ikea's website directly, and I tried. “Worst overall customer service”

I work for a Medical Clinic, On the floor Peter helped us with our order, told us the delivery would come the next day between 8 and 10am, so we unplugued computers, moved patient files, and could not work all through the day. "HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Many problems with our birch cabinets colors. Many black and purple lines all over the doors...but not on their display cabinets. Waited hours trying to return inferior product. “Hemnes 3 Drawer Chest”

I purchased two Hemnes 3 drawer chests ad the matching mirrors. When I opened the boxes both dressers had cracks in the wood along the legs. I callede customer service who was unable to ship me replacement parts due to the size. I was told to return to a store and ask for the manager. “IKEA DELIVERY - A REALLY, REALLY BAD SERVICE”

Ikea make good products but have a shockingly bad delivery service. We were expecting the delivery of 3 bookcases but only two and a bit were delivered. The two delivery men reliably informed us that they were missing a box and that "no doubt Ikea will arrange delivery", but the truth was that they didn't really care as they were just contractors and their job was just to drive the van and that was the sum total of their responsibility and interest. I ordered a chest of drawers online on the 3rd of April expecting a quick delivery as per the £15 delivery charge, I heard nothing from IKEA until the 8th when I received a text that it will be delivered on the 16th. “Nightmare in-store experience, could not contact by...”

The whole experience from start to finish (except the delivery itself) was a nightmare. It took 2 hours to place our order in-store (too long a story to go into). I then needed to contact the store regarding delivery of items as one the sofas I ordered bacame discontinued the day after I paid for it. Could not get through on the phone despite over 20 attempts, continually put on hold for 20, 30+ minutes. Broken links on the website and the online chat does not work!!!!! The customer service in store was pretty good, we used the pick and deliver service as we had ordered too much to pick ourselves.
