“Fake Guarantees ”

Bought a £6k kitchen from them with solid oak worktops. They came in-treated which we weren't advised. Within a year they looked 10 years old with black stains coming to the surface from within the wood, after complaining it took ikea about 2 months to basically tell us the guarantee does not cover this and to get knotted. “terrible, do not shop at ikea”

we bought a chair earlier in the year, it stunk to high heaven, we contacted Ikea and eventually they said it was the fire retardant and we would have to return it, they would not consider sending us a new cover, We are in our seventies and an hour and a half from nearest branch. We put chair in garage of a few weeks as there was no way we could have it indoors, and the smell gradually subsided. Recently bought a table and cabinet- of course a necessary part was missing. “Bad Delivery, Good product”

I bought a wardrobe from IKEA and it wouldn't fit in the car, so I used their home delivery service. It cost me 35 pounds. It was supposed to arrive between 10am and 4pm, the lady in the store told me they would phone half an hour prior to delivery. i placed on order online for home delivery and was charged the full amount. an email confirmed the order but with no order number, and said due to a system problem i would receive a call within 3-5 days with a proper confirmation. that never came, surprise. “Absolute Disgrace!”

RE: delivery of a sofa, BRAKIG, June, 2014. I am disgusted by IKEA's delivery service. It's chaotic and completely incompetent. I was promised delivery on 27th June - between 7-1. No show. I called and was told it would have to be cancelled. The delivery team didn't get the message from the base and called me at 7 p.m. to deliver the sofa. I was not there. It is he worst customer service I have ever seen. I tried to call the delivery to inform them that my contact mobile phone number has been stopped due to technical problem. I had to wait for 45 minutes on the line to get someone to talk to me. Then, they said that the delivery was out for you. Although, I have not received any call to arrange. My wife drove to the Frisco Texas store (appox 40 miles away)today to pickup four chairs for her office. When she got there they had 3 and the 4th one was on the rack. “missing fixings due to idiot staff”

I purchased a bed and a wardrobe. traveled 50 miles to get them from milton Keynes. the wardrobe as collectively put together on paper by their own staff. when I got home I realised it was all wrong. doors different size from frame.traveled back to get it right and my van broke down. the next week I went to put my new bed together. “Appaling Delivery and Customer Service - Items not in...”

My story so far. Below is a copy of my correspondence sent to Ikea following 3 failed deliveries. I gave them the an idea of what they could have done to mitigate the situation and even gave them a chance to do so before writing this review. “Don't shop here”

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I bought £900 worth of wardrobes 6 months later they have gone mouldy. Rung the store had to wait 2 days for them to come a view was not a load to remove them from my house for a further 2 days. They came to collect then refused as the items were wet and mouldy as expected from being outside. IKEA Warrington completely screwed up our order and were just utterly incompetent. We selected furniture in store (Warrington) and also selected picking service, home delivery, and assembly. Worst customer services ever, They did not deliver my items, I booked the day off just to wait for my parcel, I called them after 1 hour and 3 minustes waiting they said to me that they will deliver next day, again I had to ask for time off from work because you have seat and wait from 8am to 6pm, nothing happen again, now the parcel is lost, and not body even say sorry or offer to give me my money back. “Poor Quality”

I purchased the Hemnes glass door cabinets (dingle and double) and TV cabinet online based on some reviews that say the quality of the wood furniture is worth it. The products arrived in good packages and appear to be OK although the wood frames are too slim. However, during the assembly process, I've encountered numerous problems. “missing parts”

bought a dishwasher and door paid £50 to have it delivered. first the template to attach the door was wrong, we had to travel 15 miles there and 15 back to get one, next a shelf was missing had todo a second trip finaly got it up and running but two legs were missing. “useless customer service”

Ikea are useless. Gone to pick up two mattresses for a new bed. According to their website we checked before making the 1 hour 25 minute journey there were 48 mattresses in stock. When we got there none in the bay, all on top shelf. Staff won't get them down because they can't use a forklift when the shop is open.
