I recently bought a storage unit (Kallax shelving) in which you could fit various inserts such as a door unit and drawer unit. I bought the additional door unit and looked for a drawer unit. The drawer unit was out of stock but the member of staff told me to fill in a form which he gave me and when the item was in stock I would be informed. Thanks to IKEA, I am destined to spend the next five days out of the house as much as possible. I have a one year old son and my modestly sized flat is now distinctly un-babyproof; there are bits of useless sofa and packaging piled up everywhere. And I'm writing this sitting on the floor. I bought lots of things from there... so did my friends and family...Never heard anyone to complain about quality or service from anyone who I know. Went into the store on last tuesday. I was looking for a wardrobe and Was really impressed with the wide amount of range they had. Finally decided on one that i loved and it was one that was already built up. Took it to be delivered payed £35 for it to be devlivered and went home feeling happy eagarly waiting for it to turn up the next day. Waited in all day from 7.00am & after numerous phone calls to their customer services (at my expense) & after listening to mind numbingly boring 'Abba' for hours on end I am still waiting for my sofa to be delivered! “Sleeping on floor!!!!!”

We ordered a bed for our four year old son with a delivery date of Sat 13th Sept. After changing our plans and waiting in all day, the bed never arrived.....not even a phone call. “Worst shopping nightmare”

This was my worst shopping experience to date. A good selection of goods but the whole layout of the shop was dreadful. Too many twist and turns to operate your trolley, no signs to direct you to the departments you want. Felt like a mouse in a maze and was going round in circles. “APPALLING after sales.....”

I placed my order online on the 13th of August, delivery arranged for the 24th of August. A number of items were damaged on delivery. On the 25th I emailed them using their online form to inform them of the damage and received an auto reply stating they would reply within five working days. NO REPLY. Did you ever get your refund? I made an online purchase, had it delivered and received 2 of the same pieces. I've been waiting just over 1.5 weeks for an answer on where the missing piece is, and have been given excuses every time I call. I am wondering if I should just return this before the timeline runs out

Trying to customer service get through is an absolute nightmare, I suspect many people just give up. Then they are most unhelpful. The store itself was OK but nothing to write home about. Vast, dingy, aircraft hanger like space, not particularly well lit. Furniture was not brilliant but it was very cheap, which is probably why the place was so busy, being packed with people and their brattish offspring. I purchased an Ikea Day Bed on 13 August 2014 and was very happy when they said it could be delivered the following week (Friday 22 August). I duly waited in for the arrival (between 4.00 pm and 8.00 pm). Ikea delivery: TERRIBLE service. Placed my order (472-567413433-01) the second of august. Delivery date was today 23rd. Yesterday i get the confirmation text saying that they will be here between 11 and 3 pm. Today at 11:30 they call me and say that they are unable to deliver until the 9th of september (13th if it has to be on the weekend). What???
