“Sleeping on floor!!!!!”

We ordered a bed for our four year old son with a delivery date of Sat 13th Sept. After changing our plans and waiting in all day, the bed never arrived.....not even a phone call. Two calls later from us and waiting on the phone for over an hour, listening to Abba and we got through to a customer service lady who rearranged for the following Thursday. “Worst shopping nightmare”

This was my worst shopping experience to date. A good selection of goods but the whole layout of the shop was dreadful. Too many twist and turns to operate your trolley, no signs to direct you to the departments you want. Felt like a mouse in a maze and was going round in circles. The staff were very helpful which was just as well as I had to keep asking where to find things. Will not be shopping in store again… Read Full Review

“APPALLING after sales.....”

I placed my order online on the 13th of August, delivery arranged for the 24th of August. A number of items were damaged on delivery. On the 25th I emailed them using their online form to inform them of the damage and received an auto reply stating they would reply within five working days. NO REPLY. I emailed again on the 3rd of September, received another auto reply but still NO RESPONSE. On the 9th of Sept I decided to ring them - 35 minute wait to speak to customer services!!!! I have still not received my goods but I am mentally prepared already that I will not be having any good experience as the customer service has been atrocious. It looks like they just DON'T CARE !!! “Customer stress not customer service”

Trying to customer service get through is an absolute nightmare, I suspect many people just give up. Then they are most unhelpful. The store itself was OK but nothing to write home about. Vast, dingy, aircraft hanger like space, not particularly well lit. Furniture was not brilliant but it was very cheap, which is probably why the place was so busy, being packed with people and their brattish offspring. We had to wait a long time to order the product, maybe they should employ a few more staff? Worst think is we opted for their "recommended" firm to assemble the furniture for us. “Shocking Delivery Practice and Customer Service”

I purchased an Ikea Day Bed on 13 August 2014 and was very happy when they said it could be delivered the following week (Friday 22 August). I duly waited in for the arrival (between 4.00 pm and 8.00 pm). At 6.55 pm I received a telephone call to say that the van had broken down that was delivering my bed and they wouldn't be able to deliver my bed until the following Monday, I agreed to this as long as it was first thing as I could not waste another day sitting around waiting for it to turn… Read Full Review

Ikea Brooklyn. Only buy what you can carry by yourself. Deliveries are not reliable and what ever they told you was in stock when you pay for it may not and it may take a while to get it. The costumer service sucks as well… Read Full Review

Ikea delivery: TERRIBLE service. Placed my order (472-567413433-01) the second of august. Delivery date was today 23rd. Yesterday i get the confirmation text saying that they will be here between 11 and 3 pm. Today at 11:30 they call me and say that they are unable to deliver until the 9th of september (13th if it has to be on the weekend). What??? Delivery due between 7.00 and 13.00 hours and never arrived. Called customer service and was on hold for a whole hour..... then she put me on hold to go and check, only to cut me off. Waited in vein hoping she would call me back as she had all my details, but nothing ! Called back again and held for 50 mins then was advised it was 4 hours late leaving depot..... The exact thing happened to us today , re delivery expected between 7am -1pm due to delivery an item first time which was broken , typical IKEA and they never turned up , rang the customer center twice , once on hold for 45 mns and hung up second time I hold on for 56 mns until someone picked up and said my delivery would be there by 4pm , the delivery never turned up at 4 so I rang again another 35mns on hold and they said the delivery company had problems in london , I am 1hr30 from london and would be here before 7pm but gave us the delivery telephone number which we have contacted since , it is now 7.45pm and the delivery company informed us that they are still coming ... yes right ! a whole day wasting with bored children , we work from home and like to go out at weekend , they are a bunch of idiots who charge huge amount of money for a disgusting delivery service , Customer service is awful

I was told that the delivery would be within 24hours and it was not possible to deliver any later than that which made me take a day off from work with 12hours notice. The delivery was going to be next day in between 9-13. I have waited and waited... At 5 pm I called ikea and was tpld to wait... Wait and wait until 6 and called them back. This is our second time in a fortnight waiting in for a delivery booked between 7am and 1pm, first time was 1.30 which wasnt th ened of the world, but today its after 3pm and im still waiting, breezemount who deliver their goods, dont answer their phones and if you ring another breezemount number they promise to get somebody to call but they dont either, absolutley useless, arrange your own… Read Full Review

“Cheap and fast”

Most reviews are negative, but our experience was good enough that's why I've decided to place a review. We ordered a kitchen, and the delivery was next day. We had no troubles at all with Ikea staff. I think Ikea is good because most items are avaiable for a next day delivery. You can also easily DIY. I went to an ikea store where I ordered some items to be delivered. I paid for the order to be picked and delivered. The sales advisor in store told me it would be delivered the next morning. My paperwork confirmed this. I waited in all morning, no delivery. I phoned customer services where I had to wait 30 minutes before I even got to speak to an advisor. “delivery with missing items”

Bought a bed for my son. It was two items and could not fit in my car. So I ordered it online. I was given a delivery date (I had to wait 7 days), when the item was deliverey it was missing box 1. If you have been to Ikea, you know that it states in big letters that this item is 2 boxes. The delivery driver took back the box saying that the store would contact me to arrange a new delivery date.
