Ordered a widescreen TV from Currys. Not in stock they told me when I placed the order. Useless customer service line (downright liars at times).

Currys will not accept items back for refund if they have been switched on. If you buy an item and find it is unsuitable (not faulty just unsuitable) there is no way Currys will give a refund. They state they do not operate a try and buy service; the purchaser must be sure of what they are buying. ...

Bought a Freeview box from Currys it's remote control interfered with the remote for my TV so took it back. As it had been opened, store refused to do an exchange or refund --- and more importantly, were pretty rude in the process (no apology, refusal to give out head office phone number).
