ordered a refurbished laptop on 04th dec 2013. got a call on 5th dec for security checks.cleared all. soon received an email that item is out of stock. called customer services who were telling me that no alternative can be given as it was the only item in stock which was sold admitting at the same time that its the company`s fault. how can it go out of stock when i was the last one to buy it,and it went out of stock as soon as i bought it? stay clear if you dont wana ruin your christmas… Read Full Review

“Need a headache?- then shop at Currys”

Payed 1500 for a Samsung TV. Paid for delivery and set up. The guys screwed the base on and tuned it in and then left. No demo - not their area of expertise. Very complicated TV so a bit of a shock really. Couldn't get the Smart Hub to link with my wifi. 2 1/2 hours of phone calls later, Currys decided the TV was faulty. “The worst experience ever!”

We bought a toshiba laptop from them 2 years ago. We've been paying for insurance. Over a month ago, we had issues with the battery not holding charge. At first we thought it had to do with a damaged battery charger. So we called Currys and they said they would send us a new charger. They sent us wrong chargers three times, even though we specified the model and the number of pins etc. Three times - over a span of 3 weeks! However, this didn't seem to work. I will just copy paste what I wrote to their consumer service: Dear Currys, "I went to your Luton store this Friday to buy an Asus router, this was supposed to be one of the best routers with extreme range. On the shelf, the price said £109, I took it to the cashier (200 Nic*** - it's hard to mix her up with anybody else since she has *****) when she said it's £129. “WASTE OF TIME CUSTOMERS SERVICES ARE RUBBISH”

Please do not buy anthing from this company!! I bought a cooker last December so still in warrenty! but i have been waiting 10 days for an engineer to attend and still waiting. customer services just pass me around from department to department and charge me for the pleasure! after waiting 9 days i organised for a 3rd party engineer to look at the cooker for then currys to tell me they were closing down the case due to their engineer not lookng at the cooker in the first place. “DISGUSTING SERVICE - NOBODY CARES - CHARGE YOU TO CALL”

Had a curry's gift card so went in store to use it but they didn't have the item we required in stock so a member of staff recommend we brought it online and as soon as we received it, come into store and they would refund it and resell using our giftcard(as they don't accept giftcards online), we checked with the manager this was possible and ordered. This has to be the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Their service was absolutely appalling - delivery is over a week late despite them telling me TWICE that it was rescheduled! “Hoover Rush TCR4239 Cylinder Bagless Vacuum cleaner”

“Don't go near the place - very poor customer care”

I bought a Google Nexus 7 2013. After just 6 weeks, the screen cracked - whilst I was using it. I took it back to the store, only to be told "Screens aren't covered, you'll need to send it back to Asus for them to check it and it will cost you £35". “Shocking service!”

I am one very angry customer. We were due to receive delivery of our new American Fridge Freezer Friday. My husband took a days holiday and waited in all day. Tracked the order which said delivery would be between 1.45 and 5.45pm. Waited till 6.15 and called Currys to be told the driver is running late but you will definitely have it delivered tonight. “Washing machine bought on line”

We ordered a washing machine on-line, paid for next day delivery and installation. Driver rang to advise on way, however they are not trained for installation. Very confused, as I paid for the washing machine to be fitted on delivery. How I have to wait until tomorrow. The only discount I received was the £20 I paid for installation, even though I also paid and extra £12.99 for delivery. “Terrible Delivery”

I pre-ordered an Xbox one (day one edition) months in advance, had the stock allocated well in advance, and well before the cut of point for day one delivery. After speaking to Currys to ensure that this would be the case, they assured me I would get tracking details very soon. Cut to release day Fri 22nd Nov, and no tracking details. Posting on behalf of elderly parents who don't want to make a fuss. Parents bought a £500 TV from the Northwich, Cheshire store. Paid £40.00 for installation service. Our new washing machine was due for delivery by Currys KNOWHOW service. On the due date we received a text with a tracking number. The tracking website reported delivery would be between 3:20pm and 7:20pm consistently through the day. At 19:20 no machine had turned up. “Currys take your money when the goods are not in stock”

I ordered a washing machine online on 12 November 2013 and paid for the goods by credit card. Once the order had been placed and the money taken, I checked the order and was concerned about the delivery date. I rang Currys to find the goods were not in stock and would not be for a further 14 days. If I had known the goods were not in stock, I would not have ordered them or paid for them. “Appauling way to treat a customer”

collected an item from the stockport store, went into store as I wanted a 'specialists' advise. I got the furthest thing from it. Not only was the item broke before I even turned it on the item I had been sold was not suitable for my requirements. I am STILL chasing when someone will be to collect my item nearly 2 weeks later, its difficult for Curry's to understand this seeing as every time I call up I have to register all my details again!
