I just ordered a washing machine and told that it is available for next day delivery. This was essential as I have three children under the age of 5 and no functioning washing machine. “False Advertising”

After looking to purchase a Frost Free Fridge Freezer for some time, I settled on a Hotpoint model from the Currys Store on Clough Road in Hull, which was priced at £289 with a £35 cash back offer. “shocking customer service”

visited andover store on sat 10th May wanting to buy an indoor aerial - found suitable one for approx. £45 - waited 5 minutes at till for someone to arrive to serve although was spotted by some kind of manager who had a clip board and looked very flustered and instead of coming over to sort out the queue which was forming went all around the shop looking for someone else to attend to the queue. Had a similar experience as you. I went into their Hedge end store and waited for about 15 minutes before speaking to a staff member who walked across the store to tell someone else I was waiting then walked all the way back to tell me he would be with me in a few minutes. I watched him do sod all apart from walk around so I I approached him and suggested he help me. He said " its not my job" so I said I would purchase elsewhere. He then said "the exits are this way sir" !!!!!

“Will never buy from currys again”

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life. Bought a condensing dryer which was faulty. Called currys who said I need to call the manufacturers. Engineer came to check machine and confirmed it was faulty currys still refused to exchange or refund with incompetent staff who could not and would not organise a collection of my item. Let me tell you my horrific experience about buying a fridge off Currys. I dont know where to start...We purchased the appliance from Currys in Mersey New retail park in April 2011 for £569.00. Ordered a freezer from Currys on-line which was advertised at a discount price with the options of collecting in-store within an hour, or delivery within 28 days. Four weeks later and still no sign of said freezer and no contact from Currys. Two phone calls later (and no return call from Currys as promised) and it's quite clear that they have no idea when the freezer ordered will be in stock and suggested we order another freezer (with no discount for inconvenience) or cancel the order. I went to Curry's of Fosse Park, Leicester and looked at getting a fridge freezer, which I picked and went about setting a payment plan they use. To my disbelief it was refused by a new credit company they have started to use called Eclipse. I was astounded as I have never ever in my 46 years missed a payment with anything or been refused before. My tumble dryer was just twelve months old and the drum dislodged off the rear bearings. Trading standards advised me that under the sales and goods act that this product was unfit for purpose. I returned a faulty item and was given a refund but on a gift card. The gift card came with two receipts. I always assumed the receipt was actually the gift card. I kept all the paper work together except the gift card itself. I went back to the store and was told the gift card is treated as cash and can not be refunded although currys could clearly see the balance had not been spent. i bought two at christmas one is working ok the other the usb port is not working. Contacted Currys told to contact Kobo which I did. after sending photos and waiting forever told to take the tablet back to Currys to exchange it. ..... Most dreadful experience ever. 2 guys turned up with my new integrated dishwasher. 45 minutes later they inform me they cannot remove my old one and I need to get a builder in to dismantle my kitchen to gain access. Curry's delivered my white goods 48 hours late. I ran up a huge mobile phone bill because they never once phoned me to inform me that they weren't coming - they just kept giving me new 4 hour delivery time windows and then not appearing. I was in the middle of moving house and it threw a massive spanner in the works as I was stuck in one place, repeatedly, waiting for them. DO NOT USE THEIR INSTALLATION SERVICE EVER!!!!!! Ordered a washing machine with installation service. Arrived on time, however, they did not install due to a faulty cold water pipe tap that turns off the mains - said would have to get a plumber. Plumber advised tap not broken, only the cover was and they should have installed it. The deliveryman just wanted to get out as quick as possible and couldnt be bothered to do a proper check.
