Where should I start.... Firstly do not deal with the Birmingham branch, they do not update you and I no idea why they asign a customer manager to you as they do not help during the sales process. They lost the 2nd key and finally posted it 3 weeks later along with not having the v5. Following this I decided to change the car (less than 6 months of ownership) as I did not want a hybrid car anymore and wanted to go back to owning a performance car. Carsupermarket offered me £19k for the car and oversold it at £32k. Carwow then offered me £22k which I was willing to accept and absorb the negative equity. Someone from BMW Sandal Group came to view the car after winning the carwow auction and after a comprehensive report (which I have) the car did not match the initial description and turns out it is a lemon thus bmw refusing to buy it off of me. Therefore under Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 makes it illegal for traders to engage in unfair business practices, such as giving false or insufficient information about a car. I have raised a complaint, as the branch manager of Birmingham cannot be bothered to escalate it and customer services have not come back to me after 10 days which breaches there own complaints procedure. I have never been through anything like this in my life and would suggest people consider twice before purchasing from carsupermarket. Date of experience: 13 March 2023 Update, they are refusing to buy the lemon car off of me now!

This is the worst car dealer i have ever dealt with and no one seems to want to take ownership of the problems that have been caused. All they do his pass you around or claim they called you back, but no one does, I have spoken to two people from the service department about this ongoing problem. The Car was booked in a Mercedes, they told me they can't find the problem. I suggested they take the car out on a test run. When the car starts the engine does not sound good. Also when I am driving the car cuts out. When I try to start it again, The car starts shaking and making a loud noise. Been having problems with the car from the first day the car was delivered. The Car was meant to be booked in at Mercedes for the second time. A man assured me they would call me to book it in. Today he told me they said they called me. I have not received any calls from Mercedes. I called them myself and they said they dont have my car on the system. I called the man bk and was told he was out on a test drive and he would call me back. He has not. I have asked for this to be escalated to a management team to deal with, and was told he is the only one that can deal with my complaints. All I want is for them to pick up the car and refund my payments as all I have done since delivery is made payment but can't even drive the car satisfactorily. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Worst of the Worst, sell cars with known major faults. Sold a car to myself and as I understand to the previous owner with the same fault. Previous owner returned/traded it back to them, and then they sold it to me. (Gotta love Facebook)

Do not buy the service plan. Told it would be genuine Hyundai parts. As it worked out a little cheaper that a Hyundai service though why not. Double checked this before buying as I didn't purchase straight away sales person confirmed it to be true after consulting sales manager. Booked service and found out that it will not be genuine parts. Also found out that I cannot have a curtesy car and it will take 4 hours not the two hours promised at the time of booking. What 8 have learnt is that unless it is written down just accept you have limited gaurentee that it will be fact. Poor product, terrible service do not purchase.

The worst company in UK. They don't event know the internal regulations of their own company.

Unreliable, incompetent. They aren’t a touch on other dealerships and for that reason I won’t be buying from here again

Paid a deposit to use their "move closer to me" scheme. Viewed the car, not as described, had noticable internal/external damage. Certainly not worth the asking price but they refused to budge one inch on it. Refused to consider fixing anything. As soon as they know you won't pay over the odds for a damaged car they don't want to know about you. You will not hear from them again. It is of no surprise that they have retained my "transfer deposit", even after being clearly told it was refundable as long as I went to view the car. Think about this, if their business model is to do this to people, even out of something small like their deposit, just think what it will be like if you actually have something wrong with a car you bought from them! Avoid like the plague.

Went into Preston branch as they had a car that I liked. Sat down with sales man and he went through the part exchange and finance options that seemed good. Paid deposit and arranged day to pick the car up. On the day that I was meant to pick up the car and sign the finance paperwork I noticed they had added a balloon payment of over £2200 to be paid at the end of the finance period. This was never agreed and was not on the original paperwork. Shocked a company can get away with this!!!. Complete miss sold. Now I have to ask my credit card company to pay my back my deposit. Avoid Preston Motordepot at all costs.

I went for a interview for a job roll here for their new Preston branch they’ve not had the decency to give me any feed back what so ever after telling me I would do. I’ve just been ignored. I given up two of my days to go for a two stage interview and nothing. I have contacted them not once not twice but THREE times! for feed back and I got told a lady in HR is dealing with it and she’ll contact me. NEVER DID on any occasion . I can’t see the car buying journey being a nice experience “what so ever” if this is how they treat people. I will never be buying a car off them. Plenty of other supermarkets hey :)

There was nothing I liked about this place! I wouldn’t recommend motordepot to my worst enemy. So keen to take my money but any problems and they didn’t want to know. Got a car sat on the drive with a major fault and I’m paying finance on it. Please give motordepot a wide berth!!

We spotted a car of theres online so contacted them the Grimsby Branch and was persuaded to put a £100 refundable deposit on the car and arranged to view it a week later. The car was advertised with a panoramic roof which wasn't the case the car was not even cleaned inside and had a dent on the rear when i challenged this i was told the dent couldn't be done on site as for the cleaning it "depends if they have time as there busy " they only had the car 5 days before we went to a Pre arranged viewing !! As for the £100 refundable deposit im still waiting for that 6 days after our vist . Poor service Don't waste your time with these try someone else.

Almost brought a car from them, but service once past sales was dreadful I was chasing them all the time. Gave up and asked for a refunding. Stilling waiting for it. Do not believe them when they say that its refundable because they will not give the money back.

I am unhappy with the after service from here we collected our car to be told they only had one key the engineers had apparently lost them an that they would be found and sent to us we had finance to settle and some cash back the cash went in my bank two days after we collected the car two and a half weeks on I have made my first payment on the new finance and a payment on the old as they have not settled my old finance yet or found the key so we cant share the car we are paying for a car we no longer own my next stop will be trading standards

Vehicles are reasonably priced, or so it seems... But once they've got you in through the door, you find out that their cars are at different sites, in the bodyshop being repaired or just non existent. If you are lucky enough to turn up to view a car and actually find that the car is onsite, you'll be informed that the price is no haggle as they operate on a tight margin and then you'll get told about the £199 on the road charge. This, I was informed was an additional non optional charge, to clean the vehicle, to MOT the vehicle, service the vehicle and HPI check the vehicle. All of which has already been advertised as being present at the attractive price. Trading Standards would probably take a dim view on this.

I would not recommend Motordepot Hessle because: 1 - The repairs which I agreed to be completed with the salesman who sold me the car were not undertaken when I collected the car; the salesman then arranged for the repairs to be undertaken whilst I waited for an hour (rushed through). 2 - The Sat Nav did not work; upon contacting my salesman, I was simply directed to the main dealer as the car is under warranty. I found this hugely unprofessional. 3 - The circa £150 fee states that the car will come with £10 worth of fuel; when took delivery, the petrol light was on and the computer indicated 22 miles. 4 - The salesman who sold me the car told me that he would make more commission from a customer who was not buying the car outright. 5 - The car was advertised at the Hull branch. After spending an hour at the Hull branch with their team looking for the car, I was told that it had been moved to Hessle. 6 - Before deciding on the Mazda 3, we requested to test a few cars at the Hessle branch on a Saturday with a different salesman; we was told "no chance, too busy" and we would have to "come back during the week". The salesman said that he didn't want to "potentially waste 4 hours with us, when we haven't decided what car we want" when he could have made other sales during that time. 7 - The salesman who sold me the car said he would contact me the day before handover; the call never came. I contacted the salesman who then replied to my message. A definite difference between buying a car from a Main Dealer and a car from Motor Depot. Extremely doubtful I would buy again! Buyers beware!

Purchased a car at the same time as my husband (now seperated) we both drove away in the cars that we had chosen and the cars were registered to the correct person the problem is that the paperwork for the finance was wrong. My finance paperwork had my husbands reg on and vice versa. This was higlighted at the time and the salesman told us not to worry and that it was all fine. All is not fine i legally should not have been able to drive away in the car i beleived was mine because the contract with the finance company states that the person who has the finance must be the registered owner of the car and that has never been the case. Now after various unhelpful conversations where it was insinuated that i was a liar i have been told that i can take the cars back and start a new contract in negative equity, we can settle both finances (neither of us are in the position to do that) or we have to swap cars. The customer services is appalling and despite being told that this should not have been able to happen and that it shouldnt have happened i am left in this position. I am seeking legal advice but i want try and prevent others from trading with this misleading company who use underhand techniques to secure sales

Please don't buy from here do your research first!! They just buy scrappy Motability cars and try and sell them on without doing the correct checks! once you have signed on that line they will not help you out so many issues with the cars and they say "it's no longer their problem" be careful when buying from these dodgy traders!!

Hi mate do they actually do service? I mean mine went in last week to me doesn’t seem like it’s been done . Did not stamp book either so am wondering if they did proper service. Filters, oil etc .
