“LOVE IT...DON'T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE”

★★★★★

written by on 22/07/2013

I purchased my Kymco Agility 50 a month ago and love it. I've seen some so so reviews and can't help but wonder why. For the price, IT's THE BEST, PERIOD. It's meeting all my expectations I am getting 140 miles/gallon. If you live in the Fox Valley of Wisconsin go to Metro Motorcyle nicest dealer I went to in the area.

“Amazing Scooter”

★★★★★

written by on 12/08/2012

I've had the Kymco Agility 50 since 2006 and have not had to service it once. Though mind you, restricted scooters suck. So I had it ungoverned and it goes 45 flat out, 55 downhill. Great scooter, am repainting it soon.

“i love my agility 50”

★★★★★

written by on 05/06/2012

i bought my 2011 agility 50 from the dealer for $1676. first year that scooters and motorcycles stated having ABS which mine has. i read the manual for the bike about 5 times so i now how to keep up on the maintenence and the bike has done fine by me. im a young man 6'1 and i love to do stunts. at first the scooter was way too slow for me. topped out at about 32mph but after i had it tuned up and de-restricted it started going 45mph on the flat and 48 downhill!! im about to order a clutch kit so i can start doing wheelies. even though my scooter is fast it lacks enough torque to bang a wheelie. if i had to make the decision again id pick my Kymco Agility 50 4T any day.

“Unreliable ”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 07/05/2012

Good: price, warrenty Bad: unreliable, slow I have a 2010 model, I bought new from a dealer. The price and warenty is great. But that is where it stops. In the year that I have had it it has been back to the dealer for warenty repairs three times. Speedo broke in the first few months. The belts and drive in the back blew in the middle of an intersection. Starter motor fires randomly while riding when you turn to the left. Alot of trouble starting it, regardless of weather. Side stand never worked. Can't say I would recommend this or have another one.

Looks to me like you have a rogue one there
the dealers have told me Kimco have a better quality control system in place which is the envy of other chinese scooter manufacturers and on par with the european brands now being produced in china
I am glad i have read your review before making up my mind

“its alright but not the best”

★★★☆☆

written by on 29/03/2012

my dad bought me mine for £850 and it seemed ok at first although it was a bit sluggish. it runs much better on hot days than cold and its top speed was 38mph. then i replaced the spark plug and oil and it now does 35-36mph which is strange according to all my friends. was de-restricted with a variator kit when it was bought so not sure how fast it was before. i like that it has the backrest because it is good support on long journeys which is good although it is not good on hills because i went to my dads and he lives in a hilly area and it only got 13-16 on the hills.bit of a pain to start sometimes and the electric start doesnt work at all on occasions. if it was more reliable it would be a lot better.

Right done my cbt on this moped and found it very nippy with plenty of acceleration, but restriction is a problem on lo jorneys, killer.

got ot home after my first jorney on this 09 bike and woossh! there goes the key, snapped in the ignition, this was a real bother with time and money that i didnt need at the time.

so the company need to make stronger keys otherwise just be gentle ;)

anyone else experinced this problem?

strongly disagree i use mine for opening paint cans and doing other stuff your just heavy handed and you shouldnt judge a moped on the strength of its key

“I bought my Kymco Agility 50 in October 2010. It is my...”

★★★★☆

written by on 09/01/2011

I bought my Kymco Agility 50 in October 2010. It is my first ever scooter and being a 25 year old female, I am probably not the typical scooter rider!

It cost me £1300 on the road. It was the cheapest scooter I could find with such good reviews. The dealer I bought it from was super helpful and the bike was all set to go after I completed my CBT.

I noticed at first that it is a little high. I am 5"4 and I can't put both feet down together because of my short legs. But once I got used to it, it didnt effect my riding.

I have had no probems with it apart from the speed. I am rather overweight and found I was only able to get around 27mph MAX on a straight road. Uphill I was pushing to get 15mph. I have since had it de-restricted and its MUCH better.

The body of the scooter is very easy to damage. I scratched the side on a concrete post in my garden just brushing against it so you need to be careful.

I have had no problems starting my Kymco even in the FREEZING cold weather we have had this winter. Electric start works fine every time, but if its cold you need to leave it to warm up before riding.

GOOD POINTS:
Great value for money
2 years warranty, no MOT needed for the first 3 years,
80+ miles to a tank of petrol, which costs me £3.50 aprox is FANTASTIC! (makes friends with cars very jealous)
low maintenance and upkeep
So far, VERY reliable
Headlights work great even in the dark
Looks cool!

BAD POINTS:
Slow slow slow, with me on it at least!
Paintwork easily scratched
My helmet doesnt fit under the seat! Bit awkward.

Would definately recommend and buy another Kymco :)

Hope this helps.

I have had this bike for a month and within that time it has proved itself to be a well built, reliable and sturdy machine.
Bought directly from the dealer and although the restriction is in place got a steady, decent speed with a good quiet engine.
After owning a previous scooter which wasn't as well built as this, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would strongly recommend the Agility.

“I bought the Kymco Agility 50 for £1000 on the road...”

★★★★☆

written by on 06/05/2010

I bought the Kymco Agility 50 for £1000 on the road about 3 months ago. It's the latest model with the front indicators built in to the front fairing. I am a 6'1" 13 stone man and the seating position fits me well even though I can't put the back rest up and feel comfortable. The front light on the scooter is amazingly bright and performs well in even total darkness.
I'm just using it to travel 5 miles to work each day and its performing well. I get about 80mpg with it running flat out at 31mph (as it's restricted)
The only problem I am having is starting with the electrical start. I have found that after a month or so the battery was not starting the scooter so I had to use the kick-start. I think because I was using the full lights all the time and only travelling 5 miles to work each day it's not enough to keep the battery fully charged. I have changed to using side lights only during the day, and kick-starting most times which seems to have helped.

Good points

Good value with 2 year parts and labour warranty.
Looks good and runs well.
Cheap to run (apart from servicing which I think will be about £80 + parts each time)

Bad Points

Battery and starting problem
Bit slow (when restricted)
I would recommend this scooter to everyone who want a good value scooter. Also 125cc model available.
Can't buy a blue model in this country any more?

I have had my 2009 Kymco Agility 50 a little over a week now, for my first moped and I like it so far,I haven't had any problems except trying to start it when it's cold out but when it's warm out it starts without a problem. If you need a moped just to get around town I reccomend the Kymco Agility 50 it's a great moped for someone who is a first time rider of a moped like I am and for the price.

I have the 08 reg version of the Kymco Agility 50 and i think that it is a fatastic scooter 0-40mph in about 30 seconds the pick up at the traffic lights is fab and yeah its let me down a couple times but i have done 8,000 miles in the 6 months i have owned it and i cant really fault it. There isnt alot of space in the storage trunk under the seat though but im buying a top box which will happily accomidate all my stuff all in all if you ever want or are getting a moped get a kymco agility as it is the best on the market

400 miles on my new Agility 50; MPG about 90. Bike accelerates well, stops well. Will do 40 MPH on flats easily. Warranty from Kymco and dealer service is outstanding (have collected on warranty when gas tank float fell off). Performs well on any surface from pavement to sandy two-tracks. Breaking in like I mean to drive it and its performing well. Comfortable ride considering its low weight. Can store a full face helmet or a twelve pack of longnecks under the seat.

When I buy my 150 scooter it will be a Kymco.
