“MAKE UP FAULTS”

I recently upgraded to an new two year contract. Guy on the phone told me to trade in phone with them. Was told I would get £130. Sent the phone in and then got email saying it have burnt icons and was only worth £25 and anyone else would tell me the same. Got phone retuned after telling them where to stick their offer and was offered £108 by other company for the phone. Still waiting for them to get back to me which they probably will not bother doing. Will never renew with them again… Read Full Review

“A rip off”

I have been a 3 customer for 8 years and now cant wait for my contract to finish. In May upgraded my phone. Unfortunately the sales operative didn't cancel my original contract. Like many people I didn't check my bank statement and when I did phone customer services. After waiting nearly 2 hours on the phone was told to go into the store and they would reimburse me the extra money I had paid(now nearly £250.00). “Shocking all round service.”

My daughters had I phones with 3 Mobile (three.co.uk) .We thought their prices were quite competative, don't be fooled by what seems is a good offer with this company. In the whole 2 years they had bad signal and bad internet service. I complained but got no reply from them. We let the contracts ride out and they have just ended. I can only agree with this accurate and eloquent review of a company who are quire obviously incapable of even the most basic level of courteous customer service. Stay well clear of 3 their promises are totally empteee.

I am using 3 mobile. It is absolutely money wast. The signals are very poor. Nothing to tell about the Internet connection. If you have wifi you can chech the mails & things. My daughters had 3 contracts , agree complete waste of money, no service or signal nor any replies to my emails regarding lack of service. We let the contracts ride out. Did not renew and have since been bombarded with calls , 60 In approx 28 days. Disgracefull company !

“I don't Feel at Home with Three”

I left O2 in May because I thought that they were being bought by Three. Bad mistake. I travel a lot, and earlier this month in Germany I was without Mobile coverage for five days. I thought that the phone was broken, but it started working again in the UK. It didn't work in Belgium either, and in the end I bought a 10 Euro sim which was fine. Three covarage is mediocre at best, On top of this there is no number to phone/text to check your balance you have to turn on your mobile data which means that you can incure data costs if other apps aren't closed! “Three - Rip Off - it will cost you.”

Three are the most expensive network by far, not only this but even after three years they will charge you for leaving. If you are buying on price or service don't use 3. Try Giffgaff the price is good, you can control it and it is on the O2 network so coverage is not bad either. 1. Three charges too much and its cancelation terms are draconian. 2. “Centre Located in India - Service located in Mars !”

Do not touch this company. Hidden charges, on Mobile Broadband. Also a recent breach of Consumer Protection Act 2007 in Ireland, lengthy judgement against them. Worth a read to convince yourself NOT to buy their products. “WORST SERVICE”

Three is the worst service in the UK. They have most unfriendly service abroad- it costs 5 pounds a day!- and their customer service is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. Every time I call their customer service people, it's the most frustrating and infuriating experience. They aren't helpful, they can't do anything for you, and they just read off a script. I totally agree with this! Customer service is awful. When you ring to query something they just repeat the same answer to your question over and over again even when you say you do not understand what they are saying!!!
3 claim they told me about a late payment charge. I asked to listen to a recording of our conversation and they want to charge me £10 for the pleasure!!
I WILL NEVER USE 3 AGAIN and will tell my friends and family to stay clear of the too.

“So many problems, no one to help!! ”

“Great start”

Just moved from the non-existent Tesco signal to 3 and I am very impressed indeed. Good strong signal where none existed on Tesco/02. Very, very easy transfer of my existing number using the 3 app (though it took a 28 minute call to Tesco to receive the PAC Code). Great download speed when out and about, and a very good monthly sim only plan. To top it all I get to use my plan at no cost when I frequently visit the USA. “I feel tricked into this contract, now there's no escape!”

I had a couple of uneventful mobile contracts in the past, god forbid you lose your phone or ask for help. If you don't need to communicate with customer services, you'll be FINE. “3 only gets worse.”

In UK, you'll be lucky to get more than 40% signal. (Abroad, roaming, 75%+ is normal). The download rates are appalling, & when downloading, it impossible to load a web page. The service center, in Pune I think, is next to useless: the very friendly & polite staff have no technical knowledge, & just abide by a set script. Nothing wrong with half of this review guys. He's just moaning because Three will be improving network and giving you No Service for that. ;) Nothing wrong there... I think it's a lot better than 40% though lol! Customer Services is always a problem with the customers 100% likely.

“"Use your phone abroad at no extra cost". - NOT TRUE!”

BEWARE!! On their website, Three claim in big bold colorful letters, "Use your phone abroad at no extra cost". However, what they DO NOT tell you up front, (you have to dig deeper to find this out) is that you have to PURCHASE a 30 day 'add-on' for this privilege of using your phone abroad "at no extra cost". I know. I'm on the PayG plan. I only pay for what I will use. Monthly contracts are only cost effective if you're getting your money's worth. Most people don't care, don't analyze, or don't keep track of their usage and therefore really have no idea if whether what they are paying for is a bargain or not.

I still have my mobile phone but my carrier (Three) get very little from me these days. Wifi is available virtually everywhere so to circumvent the mobile phone carrier's fees, I use VOIP applications almost entirely and haven't had to pay for an outgoing call for 6 months! Remember, your incoming calls and texts on Three's network are always free.
