Appalling service and complete waste of time. Great web presence and NO customer service 3 days of constantly phoning and e'mailing to get an update on my order I am told none of it is in stock. They really are terrible and the only response to my concerns was "we are answering as many calls as we can"

Appalling service. No idea if items are in stock or not as customer services do not answer emails or telephone enquiries. Really long delivery times for a web-based shop. Firstly cluttered website - but that is nothing to what follows....
Placed on order with them for 6 separate items - Star Wars Lego and Star Wars galactic Heroes - assuming they were in stock as none were marked to the contrary. Email 1 day later to say only one item in stock. Spoke on phone to try and understand situation - very short and no customer service focus:

I ordered some items from their online store on a Saturday morning. I received a conformation email and the money was removed from my account. By Wed I had not had any update emails. I checked my online account and it only said that payment had been received. After sending a few emails and not getting any replies, I tried ringing their contact number. I was told that my items were still awaiting stock and so I decided to cancel my order.

My first and last order with Forbidden Planet.
No goods received (5 weeks now) - No reply to my e-mails - I do not even know if goods are available or if they have already been despatched.
Come on FP - get your act together! You do not own the rights to selling this type of product!
I could have imported and received the item directly from the US by now.

This store has a great Selection of memorabilia from cult films and shows. Some great deals on sale items. The site is not great to navigate around and is pretty slow in loading. For a site that is going to attract the uber geeks it is pretty dire in it's make up.
Very slow delivery. No order tracking. This online shop is still using the old '28 days for delivery' time-frame. With play and amazon offering delivery in 3 to 5 days this retailer needs to bring itself into the 21st century!! (read more)
