Have tried to make a claim for an operation to remove a grass seed from my dogs ear, after two years premiums for two dogs we have received nothing but poor customer service. Tesco Pet Insurance would not pay out, saying it was a pre existing condition, but the condition was never diagnosed originally. Our dog had been treated for a bite with pirotin, and this fact was twisted into an excuse for them not to pay.

Good value overall. My dog broke his leg, and the vet fees were reimbursed promptly and without too much hassle.

Good overall. I would recommend Tesco Pet Insurance to anyone with a dog.

My Tesco Pet Insurance renewal has just come through, and the premium has jumped up by £5 per month, and that is with no claims made for several years.

I would not recommend Tesco pet insurance. I had them for several years, and the excess was so high, around 50 pounds, that often it was not worth claiming. Furthermore, they wouldn't cover conditions if they persisted for over a year. Really not good value for money at all. I'm going to go for ...

Tesco Pet Insurance are cheap and cheerful, easy to deal with, but watch out for the 12 month limit on each condition. If your vet hasn't cracked it in that time you could still be in for a big bill.
