Called for a number in an emergency was advised it was £2.57 put through to the number no reply total bill £18.26 ridiculous and should be illegal

I was on the phone to this number only as a matter of urgency in the early hours of the morning as I had no other option but never did I expect to pay £30 for literally 3 minutes worth of call time - the worst thing is the operators seem to have some form of verbal deficiency - obviously to prolong the call as long as possible. You're better off call the police than this number - although they're probably not much help either...

I rang 118118 and asked for a number and got put through to the number I was only on the phone a very short while and it cost me over £35.  I will never ring them ever again and would advise any one else to do the same. its a disgrace

Calls were made from a landline by the grandkids while we were out - 3 calls, 2 @ £8.96 and 1 @£5.68 of less than 6 mins total duration.They had no idea of what they would cost as this wasn't clearly explained.This is totally immoral and we should have the option of giving no stars. Those ridiculous adverts are attractive to kids but the operators should make v sure that parents' permission is given before going ahead with calls from youngsters. How can these charges be justified and why doesn't the Regulator take action?

I saw that my direct debit to my Virgin Home Media was way over the normal bill and I accused my kids of downloading too much data over the broadband. When I checked the bill I found out that the real culprit was 118118 with charges of £40 + VAT for 3 calls. One call of 17 minutes cost £30 + VAT. Turns out my other half had phoned 118118 for numbers and then had made the mistake of agreeing for them to put him through. I already knew not to do this but I had no ides how bad it was. Surely this should be illegal

Recently charged £8.96 on my BT bill on 118 118 for a local number that I wrote down and dialled myself. Disgusted!

When is this company going to be shut down? It's nothing but a rip-off and why anyone would respond to their pathetic advertisements is beyond me.

I was charged £5.570 for less than a minute and given the wrong phone number. Additionally when I complained about the error was charged another £5.570. Guess what the bloody second number was also incorrect and a further call about their incompetents cost £11.540 a total of £22.68 for 6.6 minutes. Who do I make the complain to without incurring further cost.

Was charged £32 for three calls to 118118 on my O2 mobile totally unjustifiable . They cleverly don't tell you the cost when you call. Don't use this service.

My wife had a friend round and rang 118118 for the number of an Indian restaurant for a take-away. The number they put her through to was wrong so she rang back and was then put through to the correct number and was told she would not be charged for the first call. We were billed £4.98 for the first call and £8.27 for the second. This company relies on peoples trust that such a well known company will charge a fair price. By bombarding us with clever subliminal advertising most of us don`t realise we are being sucked in by those two hapless moustached athletes. Surely there is a regulatory body that can stop them in their er tracks and put a stop to their unethical business practice.

Charged £44 for a 20 minute call - had no idea that when they said "shall we put you through?" I was then being charged at £1.99 per minute. Will never use the service again and as a teacher of large groups of students in a business school, will make sure none of them does so either.

I have never been charged such a huge amount. A 6 minute call cost £26. How can any company charge that. Disgusting and will never never use again.

I used this service on my phone to get a number, i was asked if i wanted to be connected to the number, however, i was not told that i would be charged extortionate amounts for this call. I spoke for over an hour and was charged £193.87 for a call that would normally be free with my minutes. DISGRACEFUL, IMMORAL, UNETHICAL!!!!!! asked for a pizza company and they put phone down without phone number,so tried again spelt out company then i was cut off half way through spelling town........would never uswe ever again ignorant

i think 118 118 are an absolute disgusting service , i recieved a very high phone bill which stated i made a 35 minute call to 118118 why would i do that? iI was charged 77.20p for this call , how do i complain to get this sorted i cannot afford this kind of money please please help

look 118, your service is very useful, i have used it on several occasions in the past. but your advert is very irritating half the time i can't even make sense of it, i think it would be a lot better if you changed it. due to your advert i am no longer going to call 118 118 everyone i have spoke with feels the same, change the advert to something a little better if you want some more customers.
