After losing my job and with debts spiralling out of control, we decided to contact Vincent Bond for advice. This was not an easy decision at the time as we have never needed financial help before and we are proud people - but needs must as they say. Although sceptical we listened to what they had to say and now we're almost a year into our IVA and looking forward to being debt free. The initial advice was free from people that had personal experience - it was therefore relevant - and most… Read Full Review

IVA is a good way to pay your debts, when it all seems to have got out of hand. I allows you to live on a reasonable income and pay a lump sum to a handler for your creditors. Although it can take a few years and you cannot get any credit (except car ins) while you are on it. I have recently had to take what they call a an IVA holiday because my car broke down and needed some very expensive repairs, but I was allowed to knock my payments down to a third for six months to pay for it… Read Full Review

Since starting work I have always managed to get into debt. I guess I am to generous ! I was made Bankrupt in 1995 and thought that I would never owe money to anyone again. However in 2011 I entered into an IVA and have since offered a full and final settlement that was accepted. After starting the IVA, I then came across IVA.co.uk and have always found the experts and poster extremely helpful and positive. I have made some great friends via the frugal friends meetings that are organised . I… Read Full Review

I found this site a few years ago when I was trying to find out details of a debt collector that was hounding me. It is an excellent site involving professional IP's, debt advisors and lay people from all walks of life and with various experiences of debt and solutions. It is daunting to admit you have problems and to post on a public forum but you're always assured of a warm welcome from everyone. Somebody will always know the answer to whatever question is asked and there is a very good… Read Full Review

I visited IVA.co.uk before deciding upon which financial option to take, and still continue to use it now. We needed help and advice, preferably from people who were going through the same difficulties we were. So having pretty much stumbled across IVA.co.uk we found it full of advice from people in our situation and from professionals. Any questions are answered promptly.
I feel one of the best things about it is that other users are non- judgmental; all are made to feel welcome, and it's… Read Full Review

I use the site primarily as a non participant. The reason I go there is for the support it gives me to see others in the same situation with such a positive outlook. I am nearing the end of my IVA and it has been so hard at times but the comments help me to see the goals and the light at the end of the tunnel. Also when I have had worries about an overtime issue etc. the site has helped me to see that my IVA company will always deal fairly and this has been a great help as both my wife and I… Read Full Review

I was recommended to look at IVA.com by a friend when I was considering an IVA myself. I was immediately struck by the amount of great advice and support that I found on the site. It can be so confusing trying to find the best option for getting out of debt and I had so many questions that needed answering. The experts here were able to give important and impartial advice which answered all my questions and put my mind at rest. Having found myself in financial difficulty recently, I have been trying to avoid the consequences and basically burying my head in the sand.
Eventually it got to the point where I could no longer handle the pressure on my own and I sought out advice. I wanted to find an alternative to going down the bankruptcy route and so I contacted a number of organisations including IVA.co.uk who I have found to be helpful and understanding, at a time while I was feeling emotionally and physically… Read Full Review

Similar to other reviewers here, I had been having difficulty getting good advise on how to deal with some debt problems I appear to have gotten myself into recently. There are many sites and companies offering advise, but tended to focus heavily on only 1 option or had their own agenda. Not wanting to go down the bankruptcy route, this site has been an invaluable source of help and advise to give me alternative options, especially due to the forum where you can ask others questions and gain… Read Full Review

I entered into an IVA before discovering this forum, but wish it was the other way around. The advice I found there has been invaluable and the support second to none.
Had I discovered the forum earlier I would, no doubt, have used one of the resident experts there for my IVA, having found them to be incredibly supportive and ever eager to help.
Best of all it has given me the opportunity to discuss the IVA with others who have been through the same situation, to discover I wasn't alone and to… Read Full Review

I first found the forum when I needed some advice regarding our IVA. I have now been a member for over 3 years, and am coming to the end of the IVA.
I don't think there is anything I dislike about the site. Everyone I have spoken to has been supportive, and the information I have been able to extract from the website has been excellent.
I would definatley recommend the site to other people. I don't know what we would have done if we hadn't found the website.
I think the main strength… Read Full Review

As a regular expert poster on the site's forum I believe the iva.co.uk website is nothing short of a lifeline to people struggling in debt. It gives them both expert advice about all aspects of debt issues and the personal support necessary in dealing with the negative impact of being in debt. With the site being available constantly 24/7 it is a place where people can go for help and encouragement even at early hours of the morning when some cannot sleep due to the stress they are under… Read Full Review

I'd been having difficulties with various creditors and had got into a mess with a number of payday loans and didn't know where to turn. Having spoken to one debt assistance company but not feeling too confident with them (I'm a big believer in following my gut instincts!) I tried online and found IVA.com.
The people on the forum were brilliant and gave me lots of really helpful advice. Several people suggested I contact Andy Davey at Vincent Bond and I was lucky enough to speak to him for… Read Full Review

I am one of the expert posters on the site, and there is not a day when I don't come away learning something new - sometimes techncial from the other experts, but generally and most importantly about how personal insolvency can affect our friends, families and colleagues. This is one of the most warmest and friendliest sites on the internet, where you can meet a friend for life or just pop in for some short-term help from the resident experts. After all not all insolvency practitioners work… Read Full Review
