I have been banking with them for the last 20 odd years, and I recently paid a substantial cheque into my account expecting it to take 3 days to clear, which is standard in most accounts. Alas, no! I've been a loyal customer with Barclays Bank for over 30 years, but by the way they treat me you wouldn't think so. Apart from the normal things like not open when you need them, not being able to speak to my local branch direct on the phone, having to speak to somebody who can hardly speak English ...
