“They are good, but going downhill since HostEurope...”

I Have been a pretty long term customer of Heart Internet, and used their reseller options quite extensively. Being fair to Heart i do find it probably the best reseller currently out there. Good support, occasionally great, good feature set and it does not cost the earth either. If you are hosting static sites - i.e. no database or no heavy scripting, then these servers are wonderful. Although Heart Internet don't "officially" offer support on the VPS/Hybrid/Dedicated servers I have found them always willing to help when I have had a problem. I do have both a shared reseller account and a Hybrid and have been with them since 2004 so that may have something to do with it.

As you mentioned though, there does seem to have been a noticeable impact on performance since the buyout and I have been having big issues with FTP to the shared server since then.

“Best By Far for Reliability”

From first time purchase to migration of accounts from my reseller to own account, the service from purchase through technical support was flawless and without fault. Having used through a reseller for 2 years, and now on my own account, I must say there has not been any downtime, or problems whatsoever, and for that level of service at such a low cost, it truly is unbelievable. “Good products, good services, great support.”

With anything in business it's when things go wrong that you need the best service. With Heart the support is second to none and more than backs up their good range of products. I host many sites here for a modest monthly fee - and have done for years. Wouldn't go anywhere else… Read Full Review

“Reliable Hosting with really great UK support. ”

“VPS Hosting with Highly Efficient Support for UK Business”

“First rate support”

I rarely have issues, but when I do need help from support the response times are excellent. At one time I was paying an absolute fortune to rackspace for their so called fanatical support, but to be honest, for £5000 less per year I am getting a response time from Heart that is almost as good! “Superb Web Hosting”

I have a reseller account with Heartinternet.co.uk and have been with them for a few years now. In all the time i have been with them i have never had a site go down or had any issues with email either. There support team is second to none and always answers support tickets within 10 minutes. “Atrocious Technical Support”

If I could give zero stars I would. Heart's ticketing system is not fit for purpose. The only people at this company who answer a phone is sales but for those already a customer you'll be in for long, frustrating waits where problems sometimes take days to resolve. They say responses should come after five minutes but last night I had wait times of 17 mins, 35 mins, 24 mins, 41 mins, 40 mins and 14 mins with multiple staff dealing with problems and no-one taking ownership of anything. You didn't mention what the problem was that you were having? It may have some bearing on your experience?

I have been with Heart Internet since they started and whilst they are not perfect I have never had reason to complain about their customer support. If I put in a ticket I normally don't have to wait more than a few minutes for an answer, depending on the issue of course. Also they often give me support on things that have nothing to do with them.

I'm not doubting your reasons for complaint by the way. It could well have been you were treated atrociously but it has to be put into context and you didn't give that context when you wrote your review.

Sorry about the hassle you are having or did have...if you want superb support and no messing about at all I would highly recommend 5quidhost... no support monkeys guaranteed and they'll help you migrate too and give awesome advice.
I had my sites hosted by another company called Pay as you Host who have the weekends off - thats useless for a start and then gave support if they were 'in the mood'.

“Great reselling service & helpful support”

Heart has been fantastic for me. With small clients without the big budgets their uptime is great for a such a great value of service. The Reseller Account is amazing. The customer support have always been helpful and will try their very best to help you. Something I have not had with other hosting companies at this price range. A client asked me to amend the SRV record to the public DNS, something I have never done before. To avoid making a mistake I asked Tech Support for advice. “Reliable, Tolerant and Professional”

Being UK based, I was surprised at the speed of response even in the early hours, when I usually work. No matter the issue they are resolved promptly and without taking offence at my sometimes agitated communications. Generally, the majority of any contact with staff support is more to do with my own shortcomings or misunderstandings rather than any fault at heart. “Great Service and Reliability”

I've used a fair few web hosting providers over the years to host client websites. Heart are the best by some distance, more uptime and when you have a problem, better support. The support is all done via an online ticket system - you don't, in fact can't ring anyone - and I was massively unsure about this, but it has worked brilliantly. “Rubbish”

On the website it states "Your First Year 3 Months Free", I did not realise this meant the equivalent of 3 months free for a year's subscription. So I got what I thought was a 3 months trial for their reseller and got billed for their first month. Their customer service stinks and only get a response by one person by email and phone. “The extra mile”

The server access was denied for no apparent reason. Your service personnel identified the cause as beyond the terms of our service agreement but he said he would have a quick look. “First class responsive customer support”

I was truly impressed by the speed of response over the weekend to a real pickle I had got into trying to transfer 2 domains, a web site and an email account from GoDaddy to Heart. I lost count of the number of times the ticket ping ponged back and forth over the 2 days sorting out some genuinely tricky issues. I also appreciated the caring a courteous responses throughout. “Configuring AWStats on Godsplan.”

I recieved an email from Webfusion telling me (my website godsplan.org.uk)would be updated and moved to Heart Hosting on the 25th June 13. “Huge range of services + easy to use, but not without...”

The range of stuff you get for your money is massive, and the service is generally very reliable. It's mass market stuff though, so don't expect to be treated as an individual. The support is a little hit and miss, this and the lack of telephone support is a big reason why I may be leaving them.
