    I had the misfortune to contact greenflag when i blew a tyre out in France.     The incident in Germany went from bad to worse. Firstly Green Flag argued with us that we didn't have European cover - we did - we made sure we did 2 weeks prior to leaving.     Why pay over a hundred pounds with Green Flag when you can get the same level of cover from first call for more than half that price you will still get the same mechanic and breakdown truck?

    You pay your money and take your choice (Green Flag Breakdown Cover was nearly half the price of quotes I've had of the AA and RAC) so if you want a quick service pay for it. If your car breaks down and you're prepared to wait for a local garage or recovery firm, then save and go with Green Flag!

    Green Flag Breakdown Cover too often contract out. In my case a contracted recovery service company came out to me to recover my car.     I took out the highest level of care available through Tesco finance, this is called "Total Care".     I signed up for national recovery plus service level with Green Flag Breakdown Cover. At breakdown time found that they had signed me up for rescue plus with only a 10 mile allowance.     I stupidly locked my car keys in my car. But Green Flag Breakdown Cover came to rescue me. They arrived very promptly and had me into my car within 15 minutes. I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of the service!

    I used Green Flag Breakdown Cover for a year and found them to be a waste of time. The staff I dealt with were very rude, the service was a total rip off. I will never recommend this service to anyone.

    Have dealt with Green Flag twice now.
    They use a local recovery service in our area who will not only turn up within 30 minutes but also text you to let you know when they will arrive.
    They will text a relative for you to let them know you are alright too.

    Only needed to be towed both times but ...
