Having read some terrible reviews on Wizz Air, I have to say being worried about flying with them was an understatement. I was pleasantly suprised, I found them brilliant, on time for both journeys, had leg room as booked priority boarding and was lucky enough to get seats at the front for both journeys. I had a case of denied boarding. I missed Xmas with my family because of them. My luggage made as they didn't bother to offload. (security???). So I was stranded in London with nothing over Xmas after 14 hour flight from Asia. No auctioning seats, no customer care, neglecting security concerns. The follow up even worse. Ive flown with Wizz air about 10 times now, and only once were they on time. Once they cancelled my flight completely. Its always down to technical failure of the air crafts, and boy can you believe it! If you dont have a fear of flying, flying on one of their aircrafts will sure change that! “The worst airlines ever!”

I have been flying quite a lot and most recently Wizzair. They are the worst airlines ever. By the customer service I usually receive both at the airports and via email I presume that they are well underpaid. In case of cancelled flights they are enormously stingy. They refused to pay me compensation for extra cost accrued as a result of cancelled flight. Even more the guy at the customer service was awful. “Terrible!!!! Worst experience i ever had.”

I booked my fly with wizzair because i thought it will be cheaper, i was wrong! At the end i paid 5 times more than with any other airline. Wizzair website is completely ridiculous! “Got stuck all night at Luton airport after Wizzair...”

Got stuck all night at Luton airport after Wizzair failed to let the 20.25 depart at scheduled time on May the 12th. OK, technical problems are a reason to postpone a flight but at least provide service (such as an overnight hotel) or information to the passengers indicating WHEN it eventually will go off. After 2.45 all staff had vacated the airport and as you are not allowed to go back through the security check area that imprisons you in the customs section. I have used my bag as a hand luggage all my life for travelling by planes. For this airlines in Vilnius it appeared too big to take into plane and I had to pay 60 euros for it!!! I've seen a lot of negative reviews on this forum and it has surprised me. I fly from the UK to Prague extremely regularly (4 flights a month for the last 14 months) and I have always been very happy with Wizzair's service. In fact I switched to Wizz Air from British Airways and Easyjet as I found both to have consistent delays, higher prices and just generally a poorer experience.

I had priority boarding and extra legroom. At the Baneasa airport in Bucharest, nobody took that into consideration, I was among the last to reach the aircraft, but that's not Wizzair's fault. On the plane, I've got a sandwich - apparently ok, but it's filling was literally frozen. On the return flight (which was during late night with a morning arrival), the aircraft didn't have any reclinable seats (at all!!!!) and getting some sleep was really a pain. They have stolen our money.

After along delay of 2 hours in the airport (after passing check-in), flight was canceled due to "Weather Conditions" although all other flights from that airport were operating in a normal way.

Requests for compensations were completely ignored.

Having read some of the previous reviews it was with some trepidation that I booked with Wizz Air. Our experience was as good as any economy short haul carrier we have flown with. Their on line booking and check in were user friendly and worked efficiently. Ground staff and flight crew were friendly and helpful, though you need to make allowance for English being their second language. The flight was incident free and on time. There's nothin fraudulent about them, if you bother to read baggage allowance etc before your flight you'll know what you're allowed, only a moron wouldn't plus you get loads anyway. After paying 50£ for two baggage's it turned out that we can only have one baggage each with the dimensions of 55x40x20(!!!!) and 10Kg max, no handbag allowed whatsoever!!!

This is fraud!!!! Of course everything is there in the small print somewhere deep down well hidden in other meaningless rubbish.

I found this review not helpful because...Talking rubbish. You are allowed upto 32kg of hold luggage! Double of some airlines. 10kg of hand luggage is also double of most airlines. Just put your handbag inside the bigger bag. I think Wizz Air are generous with their baggage allowance compared to a lot of other airlines.

A budget airline, Wizz was comparably better than Ryan Air and Easy Jet. It is cramped with seats really packed in tight so I recommend extra legroom seats and I also think that priority boarding makes a big difference. London Luton to Prague = 1.5 hour delayed
Prague to London Luton = 6 hours delayed (Just a £7 food check was given!)

Because I arrived to Luton 6 hours late at 3am my pre-paid bus ticket was expired. I paid £11 extra and however I have claimed that amount from wizzair there is no reply from them for 10 days.

I claimed by e-mail because their call centre costs £0.75 per min!!!!

Among other shortcomings I would mention the incredible small legroom on their aircrafts. On a short flight from Luton to Cluj sitting in that seat I arrived at Cluj with backache and my legs were in pain. I'm not a tall man (175cm) but I've seen some tall men with their knees tightly pressed against the seat in front.
And you hear "the captain" saying welcome and those nice wishes through their microphone but you're actually in the "cattle class" and not enjoying the flight at all.

Absolutely useless. If you think you are saving money just forget about it. I had to cancel the flights for my friends (bereavement reason) and was told that I wil get nothing back because of the cancellations fees.
If you try to change the dates or even the pasanger's name, the fees are so high, that you are better off to buy another ticket.
In top of all these, there is no email communication, just a high rate telephone line (£0.75/min).
