written by kestrellogram on 19/05/2018

top tip...take home your newly purchased lazyspa..inflate the pool..take the pump unit somewhere safe and smash it to bits with a mallet! That's all theyre good for!Ours lasted 3 weeks from new ..Bestway don't want to know! Save your money folks and put it towards a real hot tub from a reputable company.

“Lazy spa paris”

★☆☆☆☆

written by JaquanGriffin on 13/01/2018

After buying this spa in 2016 ive had problems after problems. We've had so many leaks ive lost count. We've recieved 3 liners 2 lid liners 1 spa pump. An so many courtesy products. After several phone calls they've agreed to give me a extra year warranty! Bloody to right in a year weve used it once or twice. This spa is in a summerhouse which has protected wooden floor along with rubber matting that slots together. Yet again weve took down to put fresh water in to find a leak after a week of keeping a eye on it. The min level water has gone down to just on top of the pump heater! My summerhouse floor is ruined, the wood is so weak its caused it to go through. In speacking with management for a refund they ask silly questions did i intentionally do it! £970 pounds summerhouse an you think seriously i would do this on purpose.the company put all the problems down to me. I want compensation an i will take you to a small claims court! They come up with excisting cases hasnt been closed an require this information. I assure you all emails were sent and cut out product numbers. Where would i store all these liners etc. As stated to them you do not send products unless you got all infomation and pictures to close the case an except liability. Ive had enough these bestway services are bad. An i wouldnt definitely not recommend this item. Everytime you take it down or even replace the water the liner will split or something will go wrong beware!! I would spend your money on something better!!

“Burst liner with only 1 months total usage!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Micheal438 on 12/12/2017

After much consideration my wife and I made the decision 7 months ago to purchase a Palm Springs hydrojet Lay-z-spa as a tenth wedding anniversary gift to each other - something we hoped we would get a lot enjoyment and use out of, for a long time to come. Initially all was well, it was easily installed and operated very well and we were extremely happy with our purchase. This being the case, we had to pack the spa away shortly after purchasing it as local conditions weren't conducive to running it. Recently, we excitedly got it back out as conditions were again good and set it up again. Now, in my ownership I had diligently maintained it, as it cost a lot of money - as you are all probably aware. My maintenance of the spa also, most definitely included paying attention to safe inflation pressure limits - that being 1.2 PSI. So with all this in mind, I set it up about two weeks ago and had since used it, maybe 3 or 4 times. All in all, since purchasing it, a total usage of definitely no more than one month. You could even tell it was barely used, as there was next to no discolouration inside the pool. So, a few days ago I decide to heat the spa up for a dip later that night and as I'm sitting in my lounge I hear an extremely loud POP, puzzled I went outside and looked around trying to figure out what it was. I couldn't, so I went back inside, only to hear another loud POP a short while later. I went back outside and to my horror observed a large bulge in the liner and instantly realised what had happened. Immediately I called the sales agent in the country I live and was told that despite it's light usage and due to it being a month out of warranty, the best they could do was offer another liner at cost price - not really good enough if you ask me given it's usage. Interestingly, as it turns out, all of the Palm Springs hydrojet liners are out of stock - go figure... I can't speak to the other Lay-z-spa products, but assume they are likely as shoddily constructed as the Palm springs and as such it is my recommendation that the Best(more aptly named WORST)way, Palm Springs lay-z-spa hydrojet model, should be avoided like the the PLAGUE! In hindsight I wish I had spent more on a solid spa, which would have actually lasted and this would be the advice I would give to anyone thinking about purchasing a worstway pop-up spa. Again - an extremely weak product and a giant waste of money. Save your hard earned cash and spend it on something that actually lasts - LONGER THAN A MONTH!!!!!

written by on 05/09/2017

Only had my spa for less then 2 months used it a few times last time was last week when I wiped my finger around the bottom of the tub to remove something stuck to the tub when I felt a sharp slice on my finger and started pouring with blood .noticed there's a really sharp edge that runs around the bottom of tub just below the air bubbles .could of been my bums cheeks or a child could of really hurt itself very very dangerous product be careful would avoid buying one. New York model not sure if all the same. Also lazy spa have totally ignored my email and not bothered to get back to me. Really bad device service and disgusting customer service team will be seeking legal advice.

“Good hot tub but not long lasting”

★★☆☆☆

written by Ahaapp on 12/08/2017

Initially a great hot tub first use was great, works well after 7 months the belt that supplies the bubbles became loose tried to glue back in place but ended up not using the bubbles. Lay Z Spa are not interested as it was out of warranty after 6 months. Non existent customer service. Not good for a £800 investment.

“$400 leaking nightmare Do NOT Purchase”

★☆☆☆☆

written by jrStokes474 on 21/07/2017

I purchased the Bestway lazy spa Paris hot tub through amazon 6/19/2016. At first, I loved it...it was east to set up. Being in PA, we have harsh winters so after using this tub 3 months, I took it down and stored it for winter. I decided to set up again in May 2017 and this is where my nightmare begins. The tub started leaking at the couplings, which was an easy fix with purchasing new couplings from Bestway Corporation.. still not a problem. I installed the couplings 7/18/2017.. then refilled the tub, thinking the problem was repaired...NOPE! Now the spa pump itself has started to leak from the bottom and is flooding my deck. I've called both Bestway Corporation (they want to sell me a new pump for $200 because the tub is just out of warranty by a few weeks)...of course they won't replace it. I explained that I had only used the thing 3 months and stored it but that fell on deaf ears. Now I have a $400 leaking sieve of a hot tub that I've only used a few months. DON'T BUY FROM BESTWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO DONATE MONEY FOR A PRODUCT THEY DO NOT STAND BY.

“Worst Product Ever,,Service is a joke”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Lewils on 13/04/2017

WE had the LAY-Z-SPA MIAMI When we first put it together it was nice , Then 1 month into it the pump goes out . After going through the hassle of getting them to send a new warranty pump. We were with out the hot tub for one month. We received a new replacement pump, installed it was able to use it for 2 months then the seem came apart and wouldn't stay inflated , called them back it took them about 1 month to send a new tub. Now its into winter so we stored it inside in my office closet climate controlled 3 months later weather was good we set it back up used it about 2 months pump went out again. They were out of stock took them two months to get me a new one. installed it used this for 2 weeks and the material that holds the air baffle's together stated ripping apart on the new tub . Now out of our 1 year warranty we were able to use the hot tub about 4 months waiting on replacement parts for about 5 months. They said the warranty was out and they would not replace the tub again, but I could purchase the part that was defective $ 169.00, BUT its on back order this was back in 6/2016 and today 4/13/2017 they called me and told me the part was in now if I wanted to purchase it. YOU CAN GUESS WHAT MY REPLY WAS TO THAT... So I was able to use my hot tub for 7 months it was down waiting on them to replace there defective parts . WOW I GOT A 7 MONTH WARRANTY with this worthless product.

“Appalling construction - appalling service from Bestway”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 21/07/2015

We bought this in April and erected it in May. Used it a few times and all was fine. In June the spa tube starting detaching from the pool. Contacted Bestway - no response. Ok, thought we'd use it as a pool only as weather was hot but in early July seams started to separate - so no inflation. Spent a fortune and got rubbish. Tried contacting Bestway again - 6 emails 2 phone calls - no response at all. Spoke to retailer who said contact Bestway! Finally got them to understand how hard we'd tried and are now returning to retailer for a refund! Would never buy from them again.

I cant understand the problems you had contacting bestway. I have contacted them 5 times in the last 2 weeks they have responded to me within hrs. they have also changed my pump unit twice. I would like to add that once was due to postage damage. they could not be more helpful.
I love my spa. I purchased the manaco. I would not be with out it now. we say cheap rubbish ?.
look what we get. a pool with a lid a heater, a filter system and a air blower. mine cost £600. a similar one in grp or plastic to fit 8 people would have been £6000. I think we should expect the odd problem.
I also believe that some people should remember that they are not swimming pools children can cause a lot of damage jumping around in them. they are for sitting in.

“The Worst Way!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by PhilS999 on 16/07/2015

Had spa 3 months & pump/heater failed. Customer service non-existent. Eventually after 3 weeks got an email. Had to keep sending photos and answering repeat questions before they agreed to replace the pump/hearer unit. They told me new one would be delivered within 3-5 days - 9 days has past and still waiting!! Best way are an utter disgrace, abysmal customer support and hence the spa is a total waste of money so please steer well clear.

“LEAVE WELL ALONE”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 911draig on 04/07/2015

I have the Monaco Lazy z Spa. Terrible products. You can virtually guarantee it will go wrong. Ive had 3 pumps , 1st one stopped working , 2nd one made a big noise and the 3rd one which i still have , leaks. Ive had a replacement tub because the inner lining bubbles up , the replacement which i had sept last year has a massive leak in the inflow pipe and the inner lining is bubbling up again.... Absolutely rubbish ......... Paid £700 for pure trash. After care service is very poor , once the 12 months warranty is up they simply don't care......

if its still in warranty they will send you a new one
Must be within 12 months !

To be ohnest , leave it alone , if it bursts , just simply cover it with a clear waterproofer , its called AquaSeal
Its usually used for fishermens gortex waders or tents
Brilliant stuff , buy it in a small tube fir under a tenner
Or cut a small slit in the bubble then use the aquaseal

Good luck

“ rubbish , heater not working, pump leaking”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Quinnea139 on 18/06/2015

Brand new, looking forward to using our new toy. extremely disappointed. After 12 hours, water still not hot enough to use. Leaking water from underneath unit. Tried phoning call centre numerous times, email also, got no reply from either. Unpacked one day, next day packed it up. waiting for refund as we cant trust another heater after reading all the rubbish reviews. wish we had read them first. keep clear from this hot tub unless they modify the heating system and review their call centre practices.

“Poor performance/high use costs ”

★★☆☆☆

written by worldwde on 11/12/2014

Very disappointed with this "spa". It needs a bigger heating element and the ability to run bubbles and water/heat at same time. I know that would require an additional motor element and additional cost. In wintertime (when we want to use it the most) it takes 10-12 hours to heat up (instead of letting it run 24/7) and we get about 15-20 minutes of use before the bubbles cool it off to much. I am researching an additional pump for water or bubbles (the bubbles are actually quite good). However with the high usage cost due to electric prices, the constant need for filter cleaning and limited wintertime use due to pump design we may just return it and spend more for a better design.

“Product dump poor service no online manual.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Chenli on 28/08/2014

Lay z spa best way company Got new in box most accessories missing. Tried to load manual before and after purchase for USA over 20 times with 10 different devices. Tried to order parts through best way online north America over 2 days and called. Had watched about 20 videos multiple times on how to use and setup No manual or DVD with as promised. Best way asked how old, reply 2 days was told they do not cover missing parts after about 20 minutes because ordered on line or mail order do not cover. Can not order replacement parts. 2014 layz spa model I sold mail order electronics for almost 30 years I checked before bought I figured about 100-150 in parts to use for 3-5 years 2 years of chemicals 28.00 could not order online or phone. Most parts and fittings have issues seemed loose. It looks like you need extra parts to keep working was reason parts missing. I researched heavy the product not as advertised.

“Heater doesnt work properly”

★★☆☆☆

written by MosheFerguson84 on 02/08/2014

It worked well for 3 weeks. Now when I try to start the heater the light wont come on and doesn't heat up till it cools down outside. Then the thing works right. I have tried the reset buttons and unplugging it, still wont come on. When it does start around 7 pm the water doesn't get warm enough for me to use. I have contacted Bestway and was told to provide proof of purchase, which I did and nothing back from them. I have now contacted Argos whom we purchased it from.

“WASTE OF MONEY”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Theresa50 on 26/07/2014

I purchased my lazy spa 14 months ago, but didn't use it until 3 weeks ago and then the main (A) pipe formed a crack were the coupling goes so the water is flooding out. After many phone calls to bestway that they never once answered I emailed them 3 times only to get a response back saying click sales button and buy a new pump, I think they are having a laugh when the (A) pipe is a ridged pipe and has no flexibility so if they think after 3 weeks use I should part with another £249.00 they can think again .

I've had that problem too, all yiy can do is use pipe clamps , it will probably ruin it, but if you get it off remember to tighten really loosely , don't know if this helps , but it's what I done

This is a 2nd season installation. I have a large air pocket trapped under the bottom of the pool. This is frustrating when sitting in the water. I have tried emptying it again (water costs), followed the instructions in blowing it up but to no avail. It isn't an air pocket from underneath but between the outer sleeve and the inner pool lining. What can I do?
