Having cruised many times. we chose Ocean Village because it could introduce our grown up children to cruising.

The overall holiday was disappointing. Whilst the food was good, the entertainment, with the exception of the odd comedian was very poor and took place in venues were it was impossible ...

Having just come back from a two week cruise on the Ocean Village, I wanted to add my comments to the growing list of reviews, so that readers can compare opinions and make up their own minds if this type of holiday is for them or not!

We have cruised twice before, both times on the Sunbird in th ...

Ocean Village sugar & spice Nov 18 2003
It was the best vacation I have ever had (and we have done three in 2003). The only drawback to this cruise was that the ship had to miss one port (Bonaire) because of a delay in the flight from London which had 300 passengers. The rest of us stayed on board ...

I have just returned from Ocean Village 21/4/04. I have to say it was one of the best holidays I have had. The soundproofing in the cabins was fine - I am a very light sleeper. The staff were really friendly and helpful and although some of the entertainment was a bit cheesey most of it was great ...

Sugar & Spice and Calypso & Coconuts Cruise itinery was fantastic, although I noticed that St Maarten (the best island for bargains)is not on the new itinery. Great to have the freedom on the Ocean Village to dress informally and eat when you wished if in a chilled mood. Whale & Dolphin Safari and s ...

I went Ocean Village with a group of 19 of us from college, our ages ranging between 16 and 22 and every single 1 of us had an amazing time. We were looked after well, kept entertained, the staff went out of their way to fit us all on excursions together. The night life was good and even when the we ...

I went on a 2-week cruise with Ocean Village starting 13th Jan and had fantastic weather. The islands were great, although Isla Margarita is somewhat barren (but very hot and the beer is the cheapest you'll find on the cruise!).

The excusrions are of mixed quality, but if you are going to Antigua ...

I travelled on the Trans Atlantic positioning voyage from Palma to Barbados on Caribbean Ocean Village. Given that we were going to have 5 full days at Sea, you would have thought that the Head of Entertainment ( No Cruise Director - Too Formal ) would have pulled out the stops to amke the crossing ...

    I cruised on the Ocean Village Xmas03/New Year04 14nights
    The destinations were exceptional.
    The boat was poor.

Lower cabins smell odd and have poor soundproofing. If you retire to your bed before the Marquee does you're in for a treat!

If you gamble you'll be unimpressed with the Casino alt ...
