Given that this was a no frills cruise, I have to say that in general it was good value. However for the sake of a little adjustment it could be excellant.
I would also like to point out that the ship missed two stop out of 10. There was a mixed message given for this, I could see that the sea was ...

I would like to add that Ocean Village also missed Tendering us ashore at Catalena Island in the Dominican Republic on her way out to Jamaica. I wonder how many shore trips will be missed by the end of the season

We went on Ocean Village 1 on the Jamaican Jolly cruise arriving home on Nov 27th,
The Ocean Village Cruises staff are amazing.
There is so much tasty food to choose from.
The ship was very clean and the entertainment was great. We could not pick any faults at all.

I was on the Nov/Dec 2007 Reggae and Rainforests/Tequila and Toucans tour. Note Roatan and Belize City have uneven roads, open sewers etc if you roam independently be careful of these.
You will probably be hassled a lot by sellers in Roatan.
If a cruise port is popular with other lines, you'll mos ...

we have just come home from ocean village one's repositioning cruise from Southampton to Jamaica. It was our second time onboard, and given the age and power of the ship there are going to be a lot of disappointed travellers on her this year.

I am a travel agent and I would recommend Ocean Village Cruise and ship to my customers, apart from the over 65's as the entertainment is more focused at middle age groups of people and younger people like myself. The food was amazing and I was never bored with it. the ship was fabulous and the sta ...

Had a fantastic holiday which was far better than I had anticipated after reading some of the reviews. If you are wanting upper class snobby cruising then this is not for you. It is of the same standard as a 4/5 star hotel with added bonus of sailing to a different port every day.

The Ocean Village Olives and Ouzo cruise was our fifth cruise, each one with a different cruise line. Having had good experiences of formal cruising I went with an open mind about this cruise.
Firstly the flights. I am very tall so need some extra legroom and going out had a good seat but this I b ...

The entertainment is very poor (although it does have its high spots - the theatre lighting was great as was the lead female singer in the theatre group) and suffers from mixing the role of retail and events director. The entertainment seems to be run by amateurs rather than slick professionals. It ...
