Good prices, nice helpful air hostesses, decent flght schdules. Poor vegetarian food, uncomfortable seating so I chose aisle seat at online checkin. Im just glad my flights are only 3 1/2 hrs, as any longer even aisle seats don't help.

“Delayed baggage”

Our baggage was delayed and we were not informed for over 24 hours about whether it had been even loaded on the flight. They ask us to complain and track through a witld wide service who also had no update from Aegean airlines for over 24 hours. Extremely irresponsible flight. Our flight was from Thessaloniki to Frankfurt. Its been 24 hours and no one seems to know where our luggagd is

“Price checker”

Dont bother using their low price checker. I did and booked to find less than 24 hour later the ticket had been reduced by £50. And my price paid was more than club class. Customer services is a joke dont want to know.And wont even upgrade.

“TRY TO AVOID ”

I booked a flight from Stuttgart to Athens by using my miles. I booked a business class ticket but due to lack of space they told me that I have to fly in economy class. Hence of they offered a free ticket to use it for a similar flight at the future. Since that date I’m struggling to exchange this “free” ticket as they are not willing to redeem the free ticket with the excuse that there is no availability. I submitted my request for at least 10 different dates and still they don’t have any available seat for this type of free ticket even if it is available to buy it at the web site. It a pity for them and I WILL TRY TO AVOID THEM IN CASE OF ANY ALTERNATIVE WAY TO FLY.

READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR TICKETS WITH THIS DISGRACEFUL AIRLINE THIS IS MY STORY I TRIED TO CONTACT THE CUSTOMER CARE DEPT/SALES DEPT/COMPLAINTS DEPT WITH NO JOY AT ALL ONCE THEY GOT YOUR MONEY THEY DONT CARE AT ALL THEY HAVE A LIST OF COMPLAINTS ON THE NET AND FACEBOOK ETC.... AS LONG AS YOUR ARM YOU NEED DAYS TO READ THEM ALL THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME Dear Customer Service, Reference: A3 603 and A3 608 I have contacted your customer services team with my complaint, but have not yet received any form of response. Therefore I am following up my original letter in the hope that we can achieve a resolution. As I am sure you understand, the situation as it stands is very frustrating and I would be really grateful if we could move forwards towards a solution. What happened: i have booked flights from London to Athens 03/August and 28/August return On the understanding that a small little dog will travel with us on board the outgoing journey was probably Ok they will not book you until you bought your tickets I agreed to that and went and purchase the tickets through a very reputable company Bath Travel Tried to call Aegean to book the little dog in which the price quoted in the web site for Europe is £ 30 each way and confirmed by Aegean and bath travel Suddenly I had a shock when Aegean said that you can not take the dog on board the cabin it's go to go by Cargo in which I was not very happy but this is the Law in the UK and I agreed I received an e mail from Aegean Cargo quoting me for another 600 Euros which I have not been told until yesterday and it's not on the price list I paid £ 1.300 plus another 170 for the luggage and I am not paying another 600 euros because they said so and not published anywhere after all they quote me as described £ 30 each way I then decided to cancel the tickets and get a refund I called an 0781 number which is a premium number advertised which costs 0.50 p per minute no need to say how long they kept me to tell Me that the tickets if bought from them could be refunded less 20 euros each I went to the travel agent they called them and guess what? The tickets are not refundable I am very upset that they spoiled our holiday and have the intention in writing and complain to the Ombudsmen in Brussels They should inform the passengers before of all the cost and not oblige you to buy the tickets and then give you all this hassle Thanking you in advance for your assistance Hope you will get someone sensible to talk to because I couldn't Regards N j. “Reimbursement delayed and not complete”

I had a flight from Izmir to Athens with Aegean. In Izmir airport they asked me to pay for my luggage 35 euros. The thing is that I had already booked and pay for this luggage, but simply they couldn't see it in their system. When I asked for reimbursement in Athens airport, they told me that I have to do it by mail through the customer service. OK. They finally send the money back after 1 month. Not only they didn't provide any extra compensation for the time I lost at the airport and from my job, chasing the issue, but guess what.... they choose to charge me the bank transfer fees... So finally I took 4 euros less. It is not about the money since we are talking about small amounts. It is about the service and the weight of the company. They prefer to keep a frequent flyer and customer unhappy than handle the charges of the bank transaction.

“Fundamentally dishonest customer service”

“The worst in the industry!”

I commited the big mistake to fly from Rome to Athens on Nov. 24,2014 (duration 1h 40min)with Aegean. They charged me an extra amount of euros 35 for a small handbag of 6 (yes 6!) kilos which they refused to let me have it in the cabin. The worst in the industry ever! Avoid them by any means!

“Took $1,331.00 from a hard working single women” Pending review I went to Aegean air web site to get a price for air fare to Athen , Greece. It was dream of mine I saved and saved for while I was on there site and they asked if I wanted to price out a room also I said yes I picked Royal Olympic for its reputation since my airfare was for nine days when they gave me a price it was for nine days when I realized that what they did I hit the canceled button. then sent out many email to both sites to please canceled or call me I figure it was canceled because that is what it said on the site . They charged my credit card and will not return my money.Anyway when I contact the company they explain even though they know I never used the rooms and I canceled it immediately they will not return my money said it wasn't cancelable it was a mistake I only wanted a price I asked please to return my money since I don't have a lot and the have much they i do .....but they won't I feel the took advantage of me and will not the right thing to resolve this . I ask the airline to help me too that's a lot of money to lose Stayed August 2014

“flight cancellation- half of the passengers are...”

Dear Sir/Madam, I am sending you this email to kindly discuss about an issue and advise me for any potential solutions please. First of all, we had booked our holiday to Abu Dhabi with Aegean Airlines from 21st till 28th of November, as my family and I usual fly with Aegean. Our fight was cancelled offering the alternative option of Etihad airlines. Out of the 3 separate bookings, I was the only one informed via email for the cancellation; if were not I, my parents would not have been informed. They have not received any email (no information sent to them-huge disappointment from Aegean, a member of Star Alliance) Secondly, your alternative choice in regards to our return is on 28th November in the morning. Whereas, in our original booking we were about to leave Abu Dhabi on 28th November midnight. Hence, we are loosing a day of our holiday plus the late check out that we have already paid extra to the hotel and the excursions that we have arranged on this day (2nd disappointment and loss of money). Other option, to leave Abu Dhabi on 29th November which means to pay more money, an extra night at the hotel etc etc. Last but not least, as I mentioned on the beginning, we trust Aegean and we do have concerns about Etihad Airlines, that we have not heard about it ever before. “reservation before 2 months cancelled overbooking 21sept”

Reservation ticket from athens to Budapest cancelled due to overbooking. The employees are inpolite and with bad behaviour. They said that the company has the right to do that without a notice. So the woman was standby and finally not travelled. They ignore her it was terrible situation. If i have the company all personnel must fired. Sorry for the owners that they employ such personnel especially in the aegean office in the athens airport. Not travel with aegean.

“NIL CISTOMER SERVICES, NIL CARE FACTOR”

The airline lost the luggage of about 10 people out of about 40 passengers on a short half hour flight from Mykonos to Athens. Passengers saw their luggage go on the plane, we suspect that as the aircraft was running late, they didn't bother unloading all the luggage so they could turn the plane around quickly to make up time on their schedule. Baggage staff couldn't be less helpful or care less. Eventually they recorded our details on a world tracking system website and said our luggage would be forwarded within three days and we could track it on the website. Over a week later and no luggage and there has been no further entries on the system. No one answers the phones or responds to emails or voice mail messages. At the baggage area where we reported the loss, there was luggage lying around everywhere, probably a hundred cases just lying all over the place. I suspect ours has been added to their collection. I'm resigned to never seeing my luggage again or receiving compensation from Aegean Airlines, hopefully travel insurance will cover it. Pity they've got a monopoly on the Greek Islands.

“Deceitful and unprofessional”

I bought 2 tickets, Tel Aviv to Athens and back. The departure flight automatically included baggage, while the return flight did not. I found myself having to pay for a bag I didn't pay for on the way to Athens. Though it did say in the small letters that the baggage is not included in the return, they managed to fool me to miss it. This is not the first time I buy a ticket, and in the airport I saw at least another person that was deceived the same way. All the supervisor in charge is " it is written", no better solutions, no discount, and insufficient way of conversing with costumers. This company makes its money on unsatisfied costumers intentionally.

“bad company”

I was traveling from Athens to CDG Pasris Airport and I included in the flight and airport tranfer to my hotel. The flight was good, but the food that was served was terrible. The transfer was made by a driver that had my name written wrong and he did not spoke English, so the communication was impossible. At the return from the hotel to the airport the driver was late in the appointment.

“Poor self check-in machines”

Flew London Heathrow - Athens and back in June 2014. Aegean have introduced these hopeless self check in machines. Having already checked in online and printed our boarding passes we ignored the machines at Heathrow and went straight to the desk, where the assistant refused to serve us until we had used a machine. But this would not recognise our name or booking reference or passport numbers. We tried again and again until eventually a member of staff sorted it for us. Not a good start as far as we were concerned, I was fuming. Returning from Athens we encountered exactly the same problems with a check in machine there. This time even an Aegean assistant failed to operate the terminal, and she subsequently instructed us to join a lengthy queue. Reaching the front 15 minutes later, we were told we were in the wrong queue, it was the Olympic desk and not Aegean which was the next one along. Our plea that we were in the queue we had been instructed to join by a member of staff was met with no sympathy whatsoever. With us on the verge of going ballistic, the person at the correct desk was thankfully understanding and helpful. Everything on our flights was as expected, though I must comment that there was less legroom than I have ever before experienced on a plane. As a tall person (5 ft 11 in / 180 cm, inside leg 33 in / 84 cm) I spent the entire flight with my knees jammed firmly either side of the seat in front of me and unable to move.

“under no circumstances!”

I'm in total agreement with all the comments about customer service.I booked a business class seat back in Oct 2013 and 2 weeks ago while checking on My Bookings noticed I'd been downgraded!Aegean couldn't explain why and referred me to the travel agent I booked with...shifting the blame!They took up the cause and it appears Aegean are no longer operating a business class on this route.No warning,no alternatives.I'm aware that they would be required to refund 50 % of my ticket but that's not the point.Having no wish to fly with such an untrustworthy airline I cancelled the flights and am now left 30 euros out of pocket and left looking for other flights through no fault of my own.Customer service offered nothing more than a grudging apology and refused any goodwill gesture.They must be doing well to lose business class passengers as I shall not be booking with them again.

“Buyer Beware”

They will gladly take your money for a ticket and say that you can have a small refund and then not even refund that. I have never seen such a difficult procedure. Things must be bad in Greece when a major airline like this will not perform a small service like a partial refund.

Poor Service!! Flight was delayed 6 + hours. We received a voucher for a free flight. They never allowed me to use the voucher for a free flight back from Greece 2 weeks later.

“Thanks AEGEAN!”

The short connecting flight from Athens to Istanbul left us stranded in a foreign country being put on standby by AEGEAN and not being offered any refreshments or food. They could have easily booked us a flight and sent us to a hotel but they bluntly refused. Instead we waited 12 hours at airport till 3 am, then slept for 4 hours at a hotel and the following morning we were put on a flight apart from each other. We should have arrived home on Sunday morning, instead we arrived 6am on Monday morning and we had to then rush home and then into work with 4 hours sleep in 2 days. I really liked their planes and the seats were comfortable but this was nothing compared to experience they put as through. They took 2 months to reply to my email and the reply from them was basically AEGEAN telling us they did what they can and sorry about not being able to do anything more. This, I am afraid is not service. It was one of the worst travel experience in my life and why? Because I chose AEGEAN for a short flight at the beginning of my journey home.

AEGEAN had the worst attitude of any airline I have travelled with yet.
I will never be booking with them again, and will recommend that people look for other alternatives.

“Honeymoon mode destroyer ”

I was on my honeymoon when i first visited Santorini this year; on my way back unfortunately i was on flight A3351 heading to Athens (Sept 4 2013). it was delayed due to a problem in the plane. it made us miss our 2nd and 3rd connection after reaching athens. they could not handle the passengers; they did not check who should be served first if the plane they should take is about to leave; and finally we reached the agent counter after 4 hours standing in line and every possible help is fading. the best they could do either made us stay a night in athens then to the next plane to madrid the next night (Sept 5) and lose 2 days of our honeymoon .. or put us on a waiting list to Rome via alitalia and we have to pay 400 Euros to go to Ibiza ((we already paid the plane tickets back home)) they refused to get us even a discounted rate and they are responsible for our loss not us !! we finally had to pay and reached ibiza at 11:30PM while we were on santorini's airport 6:00AM missing the connection resulted in cancelling the flight back from ibiza to madrid to go back home! and we were not notified by your agent that if we have an internal flight and we didnt take it and the reason was you; i will have to re-confirm that i will take it.. had the same trouble and had to pay again 350Euros to return back home all this trouble happened on my honeymoon because their plane was defected and the employees were rude and refused to make anything and we had to pay double the tickets for your mistake.
