I have an outstanding claim with Admiral Car Insurance from when a bus hit me. This is still ongoing, and it looks like it will be a split liability, even though it wasn't my fault. It's because I had no witnesses.

What is shocking, is that the claim handler for me was using Google Earth to look ...

My mum was driving my car when she was hit from behind. Admiral passed us to Albany, who gave us a courtesy car about 2/3 days later. It took absolutely AGES for my car to be fixed. First off, the accident was in October. A guy came to assess the damage in late DECEMBER! They kept saying the other g ...

If you are insured with Admiral car insurance, Bell, Elephant or Diamond, you are insured with Admiral. They are separate companies all underwritten by the same company using the same company resources. This means that a) if you have any problems, you get equally bad service, b) if you have a clai ...

Admiral car insurance is absolutely pathetic in my opinion. In the event of you having and accident that is NOT your fault they do absolutely nothing to assist you. You may as well speak directly to the third party's insurance company. Admiral will only slow down the whole process.

    Whilst the t ...

I took out car insurance with Elephant, which is owned by Admiral. Huge mistake! The amount saved on the quote has been wasted several times over by the terrible manner in which I have been treated, and the costs involved trying to resolve a situation which they should have been on top of.

    Over a ...

My wife was insured with Belldirect (a subsidiary of Admiral) and was unfortunate to have a minor accident last year which was her fault. I was very pleasantly surprised at how efficiently the claim was handled. The form was sent out immediately, and we were given the go-ahead for repairs a couple ...

Admiral car insurance may be cheap, but there is a reason for that - you get a cheap service when you need them.

In February 2006 I was hit from behind by a HGV. I was driving a 1 month old Ford Fiesta. Admiral state that the vehicle has depreciated in value by £3,500 in just 1 month, and ...

I had an accident 6 months ago, and despite photographs, and reports etc. to validate my claim that I was not to blame, along with numerous letters, I am yet to hear from Admiral. I am simply being ignored by them. Even when I have phoned, the person allegedly dealing with the claim is never there ...

This is the 3rd year I have been insured with Admiral. Their prices have been considerably less than competitors, in fact this year my premium is about £70 cheaper than the nearest rival. This year I had a small accident, my fault where I hit another car. The claim was settled easily, the peop ...

I had my XR2 insured with Admiral. Unfortunately I was involved in a major accident involving a van and an estate car whilst my vehicle was stationary. The car had been immaculate and I had photos to prove it. Also I had its complete set of MOT's. They asked for all the documents and photos to be se ...
