All in all, this is a great day out, and there is plenty to do and see. We covered the whole park in two days. If you love rollercoasters and white knuckle rides, then this is the place for you. I would go back, but I wouldn't eat the McDonald's on-site, as it was awful.

Although Alton Towers is fairly easy to get to from cheshire, the parking is a large area, with several different bays, for cars coaches ect..
The waiting time is way too high, in hot weather, or rain. People loose patience in the queues. My child enjoyed the plastic bottle of coke for a fiver, w ...

I think the Alton Towers rides such as Air, Nemesis, Rita, Corkscrew and Oblivion are all worth riding, with Nemesis being the best for a pure adrenaline shock to the body. I wouldn't waste time with the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ride for the kids, because it was a waste of the Designers mo ...

Alton Towers is an excitingly fresh theme park experience. The only negative point to the park is the queuing times of 90+ minutes. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Wow do I love Alton towers!! I am a 27 year old woman and I went to Alton Towers with my Husband, 29, nephew, aged 16 and my 2 nieces, aged 10 and 5, and we were travelling from Rochdale, Manchester. None of my nephews/nieces had been before and were immensely looking forward to it. We set of at 7.3 ...

Alton Towers theme park has no soul. The atmosphere was dire. They could not wait to get you out at 5:30pm rather than pay staff wages for another couple of hours. There was one car lane to get into the place and two car lanes to get out, which says a lot in my book.
Everything seems designed to ...

I generally love Alton Towers, except for the few glitches.
I had never been on the corkscrew before, and I didn't know that you had to hold onto your bags, and I put mine on the side outside the car, and the woman threw it at me when the ride started, and she said "you can't leave it". She brok ...

I was surprised at how good Alton Towers actually is, I was skeptical about the safety of rides and the quality of the rides, but I found my negative feelings were quickly washed out of my mind. As I love rides, I pictured myself diving on the "Rita" ride. Unfortunately, this was not the case, as it ...

Air and Nemesis are the best 2 rides at Alton Towers! Go to Nemesis first then Air. RITA was not as good as I thought it would be. It was not as good as Stealth (Thorpe Park). The corkscrew is just plain rubbish, but Submission is good and Oblivion is great!

A lot of the rides at Alton Towers were broken down due to technical difficulties when we were there, and staff were incapable of dealing with complaints.
I will never return to Alton Towers in my lifetime. It is very inaccessible, and things are always breaking down. The staff seemed not to care ...
