I have also found that the customer service are very quick a dealing with any issues quickly. “money takes ages to appear in account”

it's ok if you top up in a moneyshop,but when you get a refund from say 'paypal' your money will just go missing for days on end if not weeks. dont bother phoning for help as this will cost a min of £5 and theres a high likeyhood that your call wont be answered.yet when they take their £4.95p a month charge thats out of your account on time everytime. so all in all i'd say dont bother with mycashplus unless you want to second rate service from them… Read Full Review

“Faulse advertizing card not excepted ”

When I took out the cashplus card, I was told would be able to upgrade mycedit status. “Good for those with no credit history”

Having read the previous reviews, I feel the need to even out the balance. I have had the card for 4 yrs. now. I have the total access account (£4.95/month). With this account you have the credit builder option. This is plain and simple. They 'loan' you the costs of 12 months worth of account fees (£4.95x12). They don't actually give you the money, only on paper. Then you carry on using your card, paying the fee each month. I can assure you I a not an employee.

I am a mother of 6 , living on a tight budget in Harrow London.

I am giving a fair and true account of my experiences of using cashplus account.

I can understand that their are others out there that do not have a good experience with this company but I felt it was only fair to that they sometimes do get it right.

If I could post a screen grab of my account and loan facilities with showing personal details I would.

I have had the card for nearly 3 years and have never had a problem with it,I do not use it to have my wage paid into or to pay bills but i use it to take advantage of the credit builder option of which I am in my third year. I have occasionally borrowed money and at 50p charge per day for £50 borrowed is in my opinion quite cheap and it is also recorded on my credit record. I think the problem with online reviews is people are more likely to review something when they have had a bad experience rather than a good one.

Why do you assume they are fake comments? If you had a bad experience with them that does not mean everybody has. My mum bought a hotpoint washing machine and it lasted 4 months whereas I had one for 10 yrs,she had a bad experience I had a good one,they are both valid experiences and as I have never doubted the bad experiences of other commentors it seems strange that mine and other peoples good experiences are in question.

I've been with cashplus prepaid mastercard for 10 months then the problems started as i had reached my yearly top up limit of £2000. never received any warning texts or emails that i was nearing my limit hense i deposited £75 in my account and coudn't touch it.no the problem started as i phoned customer services for 11 mins then i hung up as i music for 11 mins it cost me £6 on my mobile.you don't get a msg every min letting you know where you are in the que so you have the option to call… Read Full Review

“Worst every customer service”

Opened a business account with them after their claim of being a BEST BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT and paid £29.99. Needed to contact customer service for a issue (small issue) and the lady on the other side was hell rude, trying to impose her decisions on us without even listening to us. Easy to transfer money between accounts and they have already offered me an I advance loan, and the interest is cheap :0) Good customer service. free Euro card with decent exchange rates. hi for someone who is only with cashplus mastercard a month you certainly know a lot about what they offer,are you sure you are not an employee of the company.have you actually tried to call them and talk to a person ?i gave up after 20 mins .customer service is a joke .

Very poor customer service on the phone, waited 35 mins to speak to someone £3.50, also asked them to raise limit of how much i can load, was told no problem 8 month ago, still waiting, ordered a dollar card from them 10 weeks ago still not here. i agree 100% with this review + on the phone line we havn't a clue where we are in the Que there should be a msg coming on every 30sec or so telling you where you are in the Que plus cost a fortune from mobile and pay phone . I'm taking my money elsewhere .

On a Saturday theyre open 9-4 so more the 4 hours if you actually check the website you'd see and they were open on bank holidays as I called them on the last one in may, dont know what your problem is never had a problem with them

“Good until you need to contact customer services”

The cards and the members area are good and easy to use. I've used the overdraft they offer which works well, but when you try to cancel the overdraft thats where you will have problems. You have to phone customer services, there is no secure messaging or email address. You have to wait 10-20 minutes (@10p a minute) until they answer and after answering all their questions they tell you that to cancel the overdraft that was set up via the website you have to write to FREEPOST CASHPLUS… Read Full Review

You try resolving any weird issues with them, absolutely useless customer service.
try using it with tesco pre pay pumps !!! Do not work and they don;t know why or care. Five months them searching and they come back with nothing.

I have used this card at pumps and It has worked fine for me. You are right that the customer service is rubbish though. I hope you are able to get this issue sorted soon.

I have had my card for about 3 weeks and it was the first thing I did, I have found that the balances are a bit slow to update on the online account though.

They do mention (in the initial leaflet you get when you receive your card) that if you want to use your card at pay at pump with tescos you jest need to call them to activate it !
Obviously if its true that you have to wait long time to get through to them I can understand where it can get frustrating. I have only just received my card so hopefully it doesn't happen with me

I've had the card since May 2009. Nearly 4 and a half years. Never had a transaction declined. Money always shows online when I expect it. Went to Americas and it worked no problem. Transfering money to my bank account is fast, It clears after 5pm same day if it's a weekday. If I leave money in post office before closing it shows online and it's ready to spend on my card after 8am the following morning. I love this card.

“Try another provider!”

I used the service fine for the first 6 months until I started being charged for an overdraft service I never used or wanted. Its almost impossible to contact customer services and found them very inept once I did manage to get through. It takes roughly 19 minutes to get to speak to someone, then when that person is unable to deal with your issue you have to call back as their telephones are 'incoming calls only' and the managers are 'unavailable'at that time. “When a 3 month fee free bonanza is not free ”

My son purchased a Cash Plus Pre Paid Card from Cash Plus after their literature stated that there would be no charges for 3 months. After the card arrived he went to the members services where he noticed the price plan section. Either £4.95 per month or £0.99 per transaction. Dont trust these what so ever i had a meal at the local indian and tried to pay with this card i was in more than enough credit and it was declined,i checked online after to see the payment pending.I tried to draw money out from a machine and the card was blocked i called and told CS and they claimed the card had no problem.This card has never worked
