I bought my C5 10 days ago. the test drive was uneventful, and its space and comfort seduced me. But, after we married.. my world fell apart, and all was not as it seemed.

I read one of the reviews about the Citroen C5, and likewise I am disgusted with the safety issues.
I purchased my C5 just over a year ago, and I paid £6500 for it. Citroen have put right under warranty £5500 worth of faults, this includes the following:-

I have owned the Citroen C5 2.0 SX 16V for 4 months only and I had to replace the headlight bulbs for 3 times. I couldn't replace them myself because it is too difficult and awkward to replace the bulbs in a C5. I had to take the car to a garage 3 times and pay for such a simple task. My C5 is only ...

The Citroen C5 2.0 SX 16V is an allround excellent car, offering a lot of value for the price. Solid workmanship and good manufacturing quality. Will probably buy again.

In general: very satisfied with confort, feeling by driving and liking the design of the Citroen C5. not satisfied with fuel consumption (why not buying HDI!)and with engine power (not expected).

The Citroen C5 2.0 16V SX Hatch has theworst build: everything seems loose and noisy inside the car.
Major electrical problems: just stops on the motorway, dash lights come on, STOP light flashes and stops dead at 80mph...my life at their hands!

The Citroen C5 is a very comfortable car, however the weak point is its automatic transmission. When starting the car and engaging "drive", the car doesn't react for a second (as if it is still in "neutral") and only then it moves with a blow. Tiptronic must be used gently - an attempt to move fast ...
