I'm hearing more bad things - electronics issues etc. I'm worried that scrapping the car or getting rid may be best way to avoid heavy maintenance costs as the car gets older; is this probable?

My Citroen C5 2.0 SX 16V nearly killed me. It went into 'limp' mode as I crossed a busy A road. There were cars all round me skidding this way and that. It's gone into 'limp' mode 5 times since then and neither of 3 Citroen agents can cure it.

Having had 5 Volvos and a Mercedes C class, getting into the Citroen C5 2.0 SX 16V, the first thing you notice is that everything feels flimsy like its gonna break with little use. Vague steering, sensor problems. Why do you think Citroen offer massive discounts. They know that they'll recoup the mo ...

A review of the Citroen C5 2.0 SX 16V
Last year, the car spent 5 months in the garage with an undiagnosable fault. My garage tried for several months to source a 'sensor' from France to repair it, but were unable to find one. Citroen UK were the most unhelpful, lazy-minded, useless group I have ev ...

Becuase of a mistake of Citroen garage, The C5 gear box had got a problem and I stayed in the middle of a small town in Bulgaria. I had to organize a truck to take the car to the nearest Citroen service (130 km). Luckly, the Citroen garage was very good and repaired the gear without having a new spa ...

I have had 2 Xantias which I loved, but the Citroen C5 is just that little bit extra.
I think it is a lovely looking car.
The water off the boot lid annoys me but hey, is any car perfect,!.
I think I am just a Citroenphile!!.

The Citroen C5 is the exclusive version and with discount is great value for money. Fuel economy is OK on motorways averaging 37/38 mpg. But on local trips or slow roads it drops considerably as auto box rarely gets into top--perhaps diesel is torquier and better in these circumstances. Car is used ...

Okay here we go! We've had our Citroen C5 for almost 2 years now and I can only think of one slight problem we have had, and this doesn't involve the car! Getting the tires balanced was tricky, but we found a place in the end.
But so far it hasn't broken down, and here is a fact that has astounde ...
