Bought a pair of “walking” boots for £30 Ok that’s not a lot of money but two weeks on the soles are worn through with pieces falling off and they leak. First and last chums purchase.

All the products they sell are of good quality and brand. But it takes a little long for delivery also product return is a long process as well.

Ordered curtains, week later no dispatch. Seems they get them from a third party and you wait god knows how long to get them. I recommend you go to Ebay and buy them direct, cheaper too. Avoid this company at all cost.

Ordered three items and then qualified to 10% discount - two turned up with no clue as to when third one was due. Waited 4 weeks, phoned up to be told out of stock and they had no idea when trousers would be in so cancelled order. Searched online for alternative source and found them on Pegasus website, phoned number which turned out to also be Chums. That person said they were in stock , however delivery would be 21 days - went to re-order only to then be'charged' full price and she would not budge to offer/honour the previous reduction so I cancelled order. Customer service really need improvement as both people I spoke to sounded very bored and couldn't really be bothered. Real shame as was impressed with goods

I was very unhappy with the quality of the Pegasus shoes I received, I did wear them briefly but the leather was very crinkly on one shoe so I returned them, but they were retuned to me saying because they had been worn they would not accept them as a return!! as far as their web site says if you are dissatisfied for any reason you may return items, well I am very dissatisfied and have had no help from them at all, I did speak to a girl but nowhere, so my advice would be do not even think of ordering anything from them, and returning it, they did not even have the curtesy of calling or emailing me, a very shoddy outfit, please be very wary ordering from them, the fact is no mention is made that you must not wear an item before retuning it!! these shoes are only fit for the garden wear.

I bought a pair of fleece lined trousers which split down the seams in two places after being worn twice. Their response was they are only quaranteed for 3 month (not a typo! and as my complaint was outside this period they would not replace them. AVOID CHUMS

Goods not as illustrated. (Boot slipper shown with single piece front have seam down front - not good for diabetic feet! Inadequately packed - just a single plastic bag sent via hermes who left by a dustbin and reported that it had been left 'securely'. I reported all this to customer services. 48 hour response failed to address any of the issues. I received a deluge of unsolicited e mails and the 'unsubscribe' doesn't work. Despite saying that my details have been updated, they still arrive on a daily basis. Again, reported to customer services. No apology, and no reference to any action taken. Unsolicited E mails are still being sent. difficult to speak as the number is a premium rate one - I thought these had been banned but clearly not. I buy a lot of things online and this is the worst experience i have ever had, overall: quality of goods, customer service, delivery, and junk e mail.

I ordered a Mattress Topper online. There was no mention of when it would be delivered. When I didn't receive it after 2 weeks, I phoned and was told it would be shipped directly from the manufacturer in China which would take 4 weeks. Even after 4 weeks, when I did not receive it, I cancelled my order and am waiting for the refund. The service was terrible and you get fobbed off when you phone.

Last year, I bought a pair of high rise trousers, which were so different from the size specified, I decided to send them back. I made a 30 mile round trip to send them via the named collection point, only to be told they no longer handled Chums goods, as they didn't pay their bills on time. I finished up posting them at my own expense. This year, I tried again. The trousers fitted in some respects, but were 4 cms longer than specified, so I had to pay a seamstress £16 to alter them. The material is noticeably thinner than in previous pairs, and the front fastening is hopelessly inadequate, but I needed them.

Have not spoken to anyone but no response to emails and no visible delivery status of order when logged into personal account Having sent 2 emails 2 days apart still awaiting a response re some indication about delivery/order status. Last email asked them to cancel order and refund

If you want to by goods from Chums, then you need to know that you need access to a returns collection point or pay £5 to have it collected by a courier. That is my experience, I'm 80 years old and am stuck with a parcel miles away from a collection point. No more purchases by me from Chums!!!

Quality and cut of the sixties, just purchased six pairs of high waisted elasticated mens trousers in various styles , several tops,sandals,underwear and jacket, all excellent and generous room allowed at seams, pockets on trousers really deep and at right angle to prevent contents falling out, also pocket material as strong as tent cloth. Zips top quality. First two pairs of trousers had to send back as such generous cut were slightly too big but no problems as free returns from local shop. Delivery grand, just ordered sheets now and hopefully will be as good as the clothes . Since the closure of the above shops it is a problem for the older man to find shops that sell trousers with a deeper waist and any size above 38, Chums address that difficulty, very pleased.

After waiting for three weeks for delivery, the induction hob covers came in a completely smashed condition. The web-site was misleading, they never told the customers that the induction hob covers (poppy, grey, slate) are made from thin glass! My finger was cut on the broken glass when I opened the parcel, and both covers were smashed in thousands of tiny pieces of glass. Now we are waiting for a refund! Unsatisfactory service and low quality product! Avoid!
