Just escaped from brean sands pontins are they running this campsite into the ground is disgusting filthy should be demolished lack of staff the worst holiday I have ever had if you are thinking of booking for pontins do not

Unclean unfriendly wanted to leave within the first 10 minuets had to sit and watch people clean our chalet ad left crush crumbs on the floor by the door. Can't get any drinks at night and the manager is exstreamly rude there in no rush at all to help what so ever ! Worse then a public toilet foods disgusting

The Chalet was awful it smelt disgusting. Mattresses were stained and the pull out bed was very uncomfortable. There was rubbish everywhere in the overgrown grass with loads of cigarette ends outside the chalet door. Swimming pool is good although not big enough for the amount of people you get queuing outside (queued for ages just to be told it was full so were given priority ticket for next session-this stopped us from going out for the afternoon. Two days after we queued for 45 mins to make sure we got in). Couldnt fault night entertainment just not enough clapping, Bluecoats were fab. Would not go back!!!!

Came away with bits on my feet and legs someone I spoke to had rat dropping in there room we had flying ants in the bathroom no poison complaining as complained when first got there had to complain 3 separate times 2.30pm 3.48pm and 6.40pm before they did what I asked which I have taken photos of the outside apartment and inside for a club which is there top of the range was a joke if I could give a zero on the review or a minus I would

Unfortunately we got a last minute deal x4 days 31st July -4th August Going with my Daughter and 4 Grandchildren x3 school age and a 3 year old . Thought what was going to be a lovely family break ! Children so excited and looking forward to all that Pontins had to offer . Arrived Monday lunch time to find no food Venue open so took a walk outside Pontins to a family restaurant which was good . Arrived back children played in softplay which was good . Then queued in a large queue at 4.00pm to check in ! Oh my it was an experience . To drive to accommodation which was at the far back of the holiday site . Not a problem thought it was fine from the road to which we parked ! Shock and horror when we open up the chalet to find a filfthy outdated and run down accommodation !!! My daughter used a bottle of beach and domestics spray on cleaning while I amused 4 very excited children ! We cleaned and unpacked our possessions which we had taken for our lovely 4 day break . Trying to keep positive and happy for the children we took them straight out for food and to see what entrainment was on offer as no programme was provided . Which when I asked at the reception I was told to take a picture on my phone as they were not given out !!!! We went to the Lunar area which was nice for the children with Blue coat entertainer ! After that it went down hill , the main hall was overfilled with no where to sit or even stand ! Went around amusements and took children for a walk again outside the site ! The accommodation was so small and not pleasant to sit in as the sofa was a bed for which x2 were sleeping ! The kitchen area had a very small space which had only x4 chairs so no where to sit as for Six people as requested . We had a very uncomfortable first evening so after talking we decided to leave as was not fit for purpose and took 4 very disappointed children home . Would definitely not return again sadly would not recommend to family and friends .

We were quite apprehensive after reading all the bad reviews that we went armed with bleach and cleaning materials, on arrival we were pleasantly surprise and cleaning materials not needed. It was clean and tidy, basic but it's not a 5* hotel. Staff were friendly, we did not use any of the amenities there as only booked as a base to stay. The 'down' side was 1 plug socket in the kitchen area for kettle, toaster and microwave. The mattresses seemed newish and comfortable enough, but the double and single mattresses were 6 inches wider than the bases. Overall a pleasant stay.

Avoid going.. seriously the worst holiday park ever.. old dirty chalets. Rude staff.. disgusting food.. everything is worn down to the bare minimum and it needs to be shut down. Clearly looks like they are struggling as a park.. my kids 8 & 3 wanted to go home by the end of the 1 st day we got there. What was meant to if been an enjoyable family holiday turned into a miserable mess made by the park themselves..

Very basic accommodation, but you get what you pay for. Entertainment excellent but lack of bluecoats. One bluecoat however stood out very talented excellent host and great with kids getting everyone involed. One Bluecoat deserves recognision , the site is near all amenities so didnt have to travel in car to get to places.

From start to finish this holiday was a disaster, check in took a hour to get keys all stuck in a hall the staff weren't bothered about you had to say to them,the apartment was very dirty and most things broke swimming pool was dirty & freezing most of the equipment was broken only 1 place open from 9pm so nearly 90 minutes queuing to receive your horrible food wouldn't recommend this holiday to anyone it not a great family holiday.

The staff were friendly, but could not answer any of our questions..The apartment was tired looking, curtains did not fit and was falling down.. I got a electric shock from a broken bedside lamp..The park itself was very run down, half the things were broken or out of use.The swimming pool lockers were broke, the floors were dirty..With a lovely long beach so close, Pontin's Brean could be a great place to go with young children if money was spent up dating and cleaning up the park..WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

Where do I start with this dump. Went there for a New Years break. On arrival the room was filthy cigarette ends in the room. Dirty footprints in the bath cobwebs covering the windows. I wasn't expecting luxury but this was the worst accommodation I ever stayed in. My daughter walked across the floor and her feet were covered in filth. You could not get a seat to watch any entertainment. In fact there were people queuing at 8am for seats for New Years eve night. This place is chav central. Hardly any staff working qued up for 45 mins to get a drink as only 1 member of staff working on New Years eve. Complained to general manager who said would we like a 30 percent reduction on a further stay I would not stay here for free. In conclusion this place is hell on earth it stinking dirty. Staff are awful, accommodation makes prison look like 5star luxury. So if you want to come away with some sort of disease, que for an hour for a beer and have pathetic customer service go here. On the upside though if you can complain you can go back there for a little cheaper. Whole place staff and management are a disgrace. DONT GO NEAR this dump WITH A BARGE POLE.

I travelled to pontins with my wife last night 30/9/2014. In the main hall I was told by staff to move so kids could see him  I immediately moved and sat on a chair in the isle again I was told to move  within 2 minutes the situation escalated with possibly 10 bouncers dragging me out also assaulting my wife  bouncers dragged me kicked me sat on me and told me they were going to beat me at the gate  I shouted for help and was told" no ones coming mate "the pain was unbearable at which time I must have passed out as when I came round all the bouncers were sitting on me and couldnt breath  as I was dragged to the gate from top of metal stairs they told me it s a long way down im going to throw you over mate the only chance I got of help was outside reception I asked for people to all police and ambulance but was roughly dragged untill a lot of people told them they d called police this is when they seemed to stop hurting me a bouncer named mick kept on poking me in face  today my wife and I are badly bruised Police came and I was not arrested as loads of people told them I was asaulted but these bulliesi was not aressted but demanded the police review footage  I would like to thank all the people who did help me and filmed it  I believe without you helping I would have been more badly injured theses security need to re assessed and lets hope this does not happen to anyone else  if you could write a review if you witnessed this event  it will help my case afer police report

Absolute disgrace: Pontins brean Sands. My first complaint is the horrendous check-in process, we did arrive early at 14:36 and didn't expect our chalet to be ready, but to find the reception desk without any customers and two members of staff doing literally nothing, and without them even asking our booking reference number or name we were told there is no chance our room would be ready and were told to come back at 16:00, we then returned at 15:52 and were told that our room would still not be ready as there were 8 minutes until check-in was a bit pathetic, even the staff said I know its silly but we have to wait until exactly 16:00 hours until we can release the keys, by 16:00 there was a large Que of people lined up and the staff were then running around like headless chickens!! shawly this could be better organised, to make people stand there for literally 8 minutes until the exact hour just gets peoples backs up. Secondly, when we eventually got our keys, tried to drive to the chalet as the lady on the reception desk told us we could do, to find that the road had been blocked of and there was no way of getting any nearer to our chalet then the carpark we were originally parked in, so my wife took our 3 week old baby and walked to the chalet while I unloaded all of our luggage with my 3 year old son, my wife then entered the room to find somebody else was already in this chalet, so I then had to take all the luggage back to the car and walked to reception to find out what was going on, we were then told there by a different staff member that we were given the wrong keys only for the lady who originally checked us in to say that this was the chalet number written down it was not her fault, by this time after a very long drive all we wanted to do was just get into our room, Thirdly we were then given the keys to chalet 693 so we went straight there only to be met by a horrible smell which shows that the room had not be aired for quite a while, the chalet itself was filthy dirty, and looked like it also hadn't been cleaned in a very long time, it was like a flashback from the 1960's and looked like it hadn't been cleaned since then, the holes in the front door, the paint all flaking of, the very large stains on the wall paper were one thing, but the broken window, broken sofa bed, and the rubbish blowing around out side were another, the kitchen itself was covered in coffee granules and coffee stain's, there were bread crumbs everywhere, like somebody had got 2 or 3 slices of bread and had crumbled them all over the sides and the floor, the floor itself was sticky and covered in who knows what, there was a dead moth still on the cooker, and the bin was full of someone elses rubbish and hadn't been emptied, This then brings me to the condition of the bathroom. It was a good job we brought some cleaner, as it needed cleaning before I could let my two children in to it, or they could have caught some kind of illness from it. The bath was disgusting, and had lines of bath dirt, the toilet hadn't even been flushed after it had been used, and the sink!! somebody had shaved in and not even attempted to wash away, I mean it was covered in thousands of little black hairs It was absolutely vile! we only paid £37 including booking fees for this chalet as luckily we were only there for the one night, I understand that this is budget accommodation but even if it is budget you expect some kind of standard or at the least cleanliness, and for Pontins to let children stay in accommodation like this just amazes me And lastly, we stupidly paid an extra £27 including booking fees for half board for the night we were there, we were so hungry after all the travelling and the shock at seeing the room that we said lets go to reception and let them know and then go and eat, we told the lady who booked us in about the problems we found and she didn't seem at all surprised I asked her why we had to wait until 16:00 to book in and was told it was because our chalet had to be cleaned, I then explained that it hadn't and told her about the disgusting mess in our room and she just said, well sorry about that I will get the cleaners to come in first thing and clean your room, I then explained that we were only there for the night and she just said sorry there's nothing we can do, but I will make sure that the cleaners know and that your complaint is logged. We then went to the restaurant expecting a nice three course meal at least, and I asked the lady as we hadn't been here before where we order, and she said its down the end its a carvery! to be honest we didn't really fancy a carvery we thought you got a choice from a menu or something but still we were very hungry so a carvery was better then nothing, we then had to go back and ask were the starters and desserts were and were told you have soup over there in the corner and cakes in the other corner, I then proceeded to the soup and found flies crawling all other the bread, the soup itself was inedible and left a horrible after taste in your mouth, so onto the carvery, my wife then went up and got a carvery for her and my 3 year old, she said to him there you go eat it up, and he turned around and said err its horrible and wouldn't eat it, she said to him I don't blame you, don't eat that, and actually took it away from him and put it in the bin, and she said lets go I cant eat in here as it was so bad, the meat itself was just some kind of grey mass we actually didn't even know what it was my wife took one bite out of it and started gagging, my son then said im starving mummy and wanted some cake, to which I said, well they cant really go wrong with cake, but again I was wrong, the cake itself was some kind of strawberry gateau I think, again there was flies around this and it wasn't kept in any kind of refrigeration, just stuck on a plate in the corner of the room which a jar of cream near by, and as neither of us wanted to risk food poisoning we went out and got some fish and chips from the beach which then cost us even more money, I then returned to the reception desk to complain about the food to find it was now closed and there was nobody around to complain to. To top it all of we spoke to the lady in the chalet next door who just laughed and said she had the same problems, and was even told by staff that she was in room 691 and this was written on her welcome pack, but couldn't get into that room with her keys and found that they fitted 692, she also said that she got her room from group-on and complained and they refunded her room, she told them it was not about the money and that they really need to take Brean Sands of there books as her room was dirty and clearly also hadn't been cleaned, she even laughed and said that she did see a cleaner with there trolley 1 day before but they just stood outside the chalets talking on there mobile phones and never actually went in the chalets themselves, she also said that the people who were previously in our room 693 knocked on her door with the same questions about the rooms being cleaned and when she went to have a look in there chalet they had the same coffee stains, bread everywhere etc that greeted us when we arrived, meaning the room hadn't been cleaned for there visit either. I also researched pontins sadly this was when we got back and found that they had hundreds of complaints sent to watchdog and TripAdvisor regarding similar problems to we had, sadly we found this out to late for us. I did get a response from Pontins about 5-6 weeks later, saying that it was a busy time of year blah blah, not our fault blah blah, and that our complaint would be sent to the cleaning manager! absolute disgrace, I will never go to a pontins again, it might be cheap but not worth risking your health for.

On site pool only open for one hour and forty five mins at a time ,by the time you've got your children changed and in uv got bout half hour .i was spoken to like i was thick by staff as soon as i entered and there are no local or on site takeaways,dnt usually eat takeaway but as the on site grocery store is constantly out of anything you could actually eat as a meal we felt forced to look.childrens entertainment is so loud i couldn't hear my partner shouting to me in the seat next to me ,nothing is clear on this site we got excited cos we found a chicken type bar but soon realised there was no way to tell when it opened or shut kept going bk nut never seemed to open .there are no indoor activities for kids on rainy days n most activities boasted are only available for an hour or say there open and when you get there they are shut as for our accommodation and check in iv never seen anything like it.we were all told to wait in the disco room then made to form lines in alphabetical order kind of like naughty children at school only we wernt instructed to do this jst left to figure it out amongst ourselves .once we arrived at our accommodation we were shocked at the state of it chunks of wallpaper missing, brown stains on ceiling, heater in front not working ,worlds most uncomfortable sofa bed,microwave in hallway,two seater sofa bed as seating for six,wi fi dosnt work ,covering on cupboards coming off,paint work peeling off,skirting not attached properly .to sum up it looked like something from tv show cowboy builders.never coming here agen i always holiday on a budget but iv never been faced with anything this badly run before .if you've already booked your holiday i wish you luck.

Firstly the park could do with great repairs and updating, the outdoor activities like the go carting look like they have been left to go rack and ruin. Then there's the accommodation, we stayed in chalet 972, the chalet was dirty and the bathroom was covered in grime and hair from previous guests, it needed a good clean. We had a party of 4 but only two cups, 1 bowl and three pillows... There was one room and a bed settee that had seen better days and was very uncomfortable due to the state of the bed. we also had to share our chalet with Ants which kept coming in from under the front door. The only thing this park has going for it is the family entertainment off site around it, like the arcades and fun park. we didn't eat on the site at all, but used the surrounding venues.

Went here last minuet for Easter Thursday /Friday - arrived 9pm Thursday to beat motorway - porter on gate had no record of late booking so just gave us a key to popular apprts no 19 - disgusting mouldy filthy - yes is was cheap so we were expecting basic but no excuse for filth - fridge didn't work fag burns in old grubby chairs and in the light of the morning we noticed cable ties on tables attached to wood so they didn't wobble - the people who think this standard is remotely ok are nothing but chavs !! Never ever go - needless to say we didn't stay for the second night - the customer service desk weren't remotely surprised we wanted to get out of there - poor poor things they don't bat an eyelid at the complaints , they should not be allowed to sell this level of file accommodation why in this day and age are they not held accountable , I only let my 9 year old sleep on the bed as I personally took the bedding out of a wrapper !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gave just come back from a family weekend away. This site is only up the road drom us and is somewhere we go a few times a year. This year there was no bedding and you could no longer hire it but could BUY cheap nasty bedding that the dyed comes from and onto you clothes. It cost me £40 to but a double and 2 single bed sets from the onsite shop and to say I was furious is an understatment.
