The site appears to be run by a kid in his bedroom who's owned a dog for less than 3 years and has found a good way to pull in advertising $$'s. Moderation on the site is unique, the admin team will actively jump in to flame wars and inflame them further. Any view that differs to the inevitable 'half a clue about jack' regulars is rapidly bullied off the site, encouraged and participated by the admin...!! Has its amusement value, but if you want a balanced view, a wide range of information… Read Full Review

Dogsey is a very informative and well run site, the number of members nearly 22,000 is proof of this, I have been a member there for some time. As with any site it gets its quota of trolls and spammers who when caught in the act gravitate to sites like this to vent their venom, the odd lone bitter voice among so many contented people.
I am sure they don't deter anyone from joining Dogsey… Read Full Review

The one thing missing from the comments so far is, the site is censored, i wanted to contact a trainer cause i could not message soo i left my email addy, couldn't believe it when they deleted ityet they are refering to other trainers of certain types. My guess is that it is run & rented by some dog training organisation to get customers.
But hoohray, it sure is a laugh, all these disguised consumer frequented forums are the same though, so many advertising this & that everywhere… Read Full Review

What a fantastic site! Out of all the forums I visit this one is the best by far. Packed with useful information and there's always help if needed. Well laid out, well moderated and very friendly. The negative comments on here must be from banned members who are dealt with swifty to keep the site free from trouble makers and trolls… Read Full Review

I am certain that Dogsey was set up Simon Cowel as a prototype comedy act for Britains Not Got Talent. Having said that, as far as giving advice on dog training, well, thats beyond a comedy act, the poor dogs at the receiving would be better off leaving home… Read Full Review

There are about 10 members of this site who lack real knowledge yet impart their thoughts for all to read, if challenged they really become abusive. Its main strength is numbers, its weaknesses it allows paid for moderation by members who in some cases are poor dog owners and who lack any real experience. It is also a place for the poorly to seek attention, many subjects areas attract the munchausen potentials. It is important with internet knowledge to verify who is giving it, with this site that… Read Full Review

An incredibly biased forum where it appears the moderators simply take sides. The administrator is rude and bias also, preferring to make jokes at the expense of members rather properly moderate.
If you are a ranting bigot you'll love it!… Read Full Review

Dogsey is a good forum for very novice dog owners to seek basic information. As with many forums there can be a lot of bad advice and misinformation so always double check anything of importance. Occasionally some very good and interesting threads materialise. Overmoderated IMO but with good intention... but still there is the usual pack-of-wolves ready to descend on new posters who step out of line or express an opinion that differs from the that of the central core of regulars. A fast… Read Full Review

Dogsey is the sort of site you go on for laugh. It's like watching the comedians. Some nights members of our club print off some of the threads and we spend hours laughing at them! This is definitely a great site for anyone that wants to bust their sides. What can you say? It's more entertaining than watching the light in the fridge and better than watching paint dry. All in all a great site for a laugh as long as you don't take it serious!… Read Full Review

I was in at the start of Dogsey when it was known as Dogweb, the information on the face of it looks good, but it must be remembered that the the poster may have no idea what they are talking about, there are no checks to a posters credentials as to their qualification to give advice, in some cases such as veterinary advice and behavioural issues it can be counter productive to take this advice.
It should be remembered that the members of Dogsey are on the whole pet owners with no formal… Read Full Review

Dogsey - The Site for Dog Lovers is an absolutely fantastic website! You'll always get your questions answered with no silly replies. Every one's opinions count and there are on-going competitions for everyone to enter! Since buying my puppy I'm so glad I found this site, not only has it saved a lot of unnecessary vet trips, it's also showed me I'm not the only one going through certain situations. It's easier to get through puppy-hood knowing someone else is having the same issues. Also it's… Read Full Review
