“ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS SERVICE”

From day one the service received from Sky was terrible, I wish I'd changed my mind after the initial phone call. I placed an order for a Sky TV, phone and broadband package which had an offer of free broadband on it. Upon installation, I waited in all day and the two engineers who arrived were extremely rude and lazy. After deciding that it was 'too big a job'(?) they left saying they would come back another day. “I wish I'd never called Sky!”

I ordered Sky Talk and Broadband several weeks ago. I have acted in good faith throughout. Today I am left with no broadband and what's worse is I have no landline now either, all thanks to Sky. Well done Sky. Great work on how to loose the business before you've even got it! Today I chatted with 4 different Sky advisors, all of which gave me a very different reason as to why my phone and broadband weren't working. “ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!”

Sky's broadband service is the worst, they offer a good price to entice you and then you're left with a slow and unreliable internet. Their customer service are in no way helpful and are reluctant to send technicians to the property. Our Internet was consistently slow and would regularly 'drop' so much that to a point where there was only 5 minutes of Internet connection. They offer unlimited downdloads, yet if there is no connection then a person can't use unlimited Internet. To save both time… Read Full Review

“Sky line rental, home phone, broadband and TV packages ”

I've been an O2 customer for many years but they recently sold their home phone / broadband services to Sky and it all went downhill from there. There isn't space in this review to list all the many emails and calls made to try to resolve the many problems encountered but examples of the issues include being left on hold for 44 minutes before Sky dropped the call(!) and being on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes before I finally gave up - and who wouldn't given that it was a premium rate number… Read Full Review

Sky TV is amazing and there is no better, their broadband is another matter. I switched to Virgin to get high speed Internet. I now have this but Virgin customer services are turkey awful as was the Instalation plus other issues, damp on wall where they drilled and dint fill, mess of garden after laying cable. As soon as Sky have fast Internet I will go back as to be honest I have never had any real issues wi Sky after 12 years and have 3 boxes.

“.35gb speed”

Been with sky now about 2 month, my broadband speed was'nt great but around 1.5gb.The past 2 weeks it down to .30-35gb, turned the roater off and on then I get about 1.8gb for 5min. Then it goes back to .35gb, cant get through to sky, any one who can help?… Read Full Review

“extremely slow”

Having recently changed from talktalk I now find my broadband extrememly slow, I cannot wait form my Year contract to finish and go back to talktalk to get a decent speed. I certainly would not recomend it to anyone I liked… Read Full Review

You do realise that if Sky do not give you a minimum speed set up in your contract (usually 7MB minimum) you can exit your contract inline with OfCom rulings. Sky just told me this so I would set up a contract with them!!!

“Sky on a slippery slop”

Been with Sky for 20 years there Tv and telephone service is very good but there broadband speed has become so bad i have now changed to Virgin.This was something i did reluctantly but i did because of there inability to supply what i was paying for and a lack of service. “0.35mbps after 'upgrading' from our old 3mbps service”

Absolute rubbush. DO NOT SWITCH TO SKY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. SKY broadband connection is poor, the router is poor, and the customer service poor. We switched after a great offer of free sky tv and free broadband for a year. Now our broadband has gone from 3mpbs to 0.35mbps with SKY. It makes normal web surfing painful. Just as an update the SKY customer service has made my experience much much worse. Our broadband now cuts on and off, I have been trouble shooting with their online support, every time you make a change that disconnects your router they reset your online chat, so you have to start from scratch with a new customer service rep, go through their security, takes about 20 mins each time. I have been online now for 2 hours, and all we have done is unplug the router a few times... They now will be sending a BT Openreach engineer round to check our line (which has been working perfectly for years with O2), and I have just been told if I miss him I would be charged £100 for his call out fee. How about I charge you guys £100 for my wasted time. If you have broadband that works do NOT CHANGE TO SKY.

“Very Band DSL Broadband”

I been with sky fro one year an di have the DSL, the internet very slow and the router always stop responding, however I phone sky to change my landline number they did change it thanks but they giving me a number which has been used by some one else I called them to explain they didn't want to listen. “New House Install - Sky farce”

New estate, cables all connected and no phone socket in house. BT Openreach engineer after 3 months fixes line outside the house, and shows me working as I was at home waiting for the appointment. Cannot fit phone socket in my house though.. Now openreach says line faulty, Sky said engineer was telling me hearsay.. WHILST on the same new build estate BT broadband users up and running! “Router keeps going faulty”

After many years with AOL (which supposedly was an inferior service, though I never had any issues) I moved to Sky Broadband because it was a really good offer. After a few weeks we had a fault and had an enginner callout and a new router. At this time it had taken nearly 2 weeks to resolve the issue. More time than I think it should have taken. because of what seemed like a good deal we Switched to Sky Broadband on 31st May and by 4th of June we couldn't take it any more it is soooo slow, you cannot do anything other than basic surfing and even then its unreliable. I actually had to connect my laptop to my iphone hotspot in order to use my 3g and had no problem whatsoever watching bbc iplayer. “Sky Broadband connect - traffic control policy - beware”

Due to the traffic control policy which seems to be implemented whether or not you are a "heavy user" this product does not seem suitable for anything other than basic web surfing. What is a little bit annoying is that they do not quantify what level of usage is deemed heavy. “Rubbish broadband”

In a tiny house with Sky broadband, it doesn't work. We wake up every day with no wi-fi and Sky tell us it's our set up. We remind them it's their set-up and we still have no wifi.
