“Frustrating Experience-No Delivery and Unresolved issue”

I ordered an item from The Hut in October 2023. Despite being charged, the item was never delivered. Over two months, I consistently contacted their customer service, facing repetitive questions without any progress or resolution. In January, when I requested a full refund due to non-delivery, the response was yet the again the same unproductive questionnaire. I've never received the item not any refund. This situation has been extremely disappointing, highlighting significant deficiencies in The Hut's communication and customer service

“BUYER BEWARE - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE”

I purchased a DVD set of a TV show series but didn't realize the set "might not be viewable outside of Europe". I live in the United States. It was an honest mistake which was not discovered until I opened the set and put in the first DVD. I contacted service and was told "sorry...but they couldn't accept the DVD back as it had been opened". I'm out $74.00. Very poor customer service. I will never buy from the Hut again and will stick to Amazon whose return policies are more customer satisfaction oriented.

“DVDs don't work.. and they don't care!!!”

This company knowingly sells worthless dvds. I live in new york, usa. I just tried to play them, and of course they didn't work. here is the back and forth i have been dealing with: issue: returns and refunds i want to return an item i want to return a faulty item customer info: i just tried to watch these movies for the first time and none of them will play. “The Hut doesn't care if they sell you worthless DVD's”

I ordered a video from The Hut - Scooby Doo meets Batman. No, I did not read the fine print that it will only play in Zone 2 - I don't even know what that means. But it means it will only play in the UK. Did anyone bother to check that the order was being shipped to the US and warn me that I have ordered something that I can't use - no. As Jimmy Buffet says "Maybe it's my own damn fault". I see other people have also made the same mistake and that The Hut took the same "Too Bad, So Sad" attitude with them as they did with me. Well, you can fool me once but I will never order anything from The Hut ever again!

Bought a carpet cleaner came broken trying to return, they make it so difficult on their web site I have spent ages on this trying to send back they are basically saying I have to take for the postage and take to the post office I Don't trust these guys and im now going down the credit card route, if I send it back looking at reviews I wont get a refund spend 5 quid more and go to argos

“BEWARE! THE HUT.com SUCKS!”

The HUT sucks "BIG LEAGUE!" the site charges for expedient delivery and does not deliver! and then if you want to try and ask for a return or refund, not only do they always say NO, they will NEVER allow you to speak to anyone over the phone. You have to communicate 100% thru email, A LOT easier for them to hide and defend their shady deals via email! all i have to say is BEWARE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

“Buy Elsewhere”

Ordered and received a Blue-ray DVD I had been searching for over a period of a month. Was so glad to find it on The Huts website. When I received it, it would not play on either of my players. Found out that it was zone coded for the UK, where this company is from. Asked for a return and refund and they refused because the disc had been removed from its original wrapping. I'll never shop on this site again and I will tell as many folks a I can that they are risking the lost of all dollars spent, like I did.

“The Most Frustrating, Terrible Company EVER.”

I was so stoked to purchase from this company and ordered several hundred dollars worth of merchandise during their Black Friday sale. After 2 weeks of no word about my order, I searched to find a customer service number or email and found there was none. I tried to communicate via my account and found that I was locked out of my account. With no customer service to turn to...who could I get to reset my account? NO ONE. They just have my money in limbo with no word about my order. I thought to contact their Facebook page and all I received were robot like responses. I begged to have a HUMAN email me and let me know exactly what was going on and they said they couldn't do that. So ridiculous. I am still out of money and products and its been a month.

“Avoid at all costs”

I've had the worst experience ever buying from the hut. I bought an iPad 2 and when the order was not dispatched on date, I start process of enquiry. Got sent from pillar to post with absolute nonsense about them having no idea when they would be getting in stock. It's December 2016, before xmas... they don't know for 10 days when they getting stock! Reficulous, do they think we are idiots!!?? I have wasted 10 days being messed around with the only option being given by them as to cancel now!! This was a birthday present which is now well overdue. Please please don't buy from this scandalous outfit who have atrocious customer service and take customers for fools with the nonsense that is produced. Terrible experience

“Never delivered - essentially stolen £81 from me”

Ordered shoes on 07/11. Supposed to be delivered on 11/11. Nothing ever materialised. They claim they are discussing with Royal Mail but I've had no further contact for days. It will be two weeks late tomorrow and as far as I can tell they are doing nothing about it. At this point, they have just taken my money and given nothing in return. It is not the customer's issue that there was a 'problem' with delivery - they should refund or replace instantly. AVOID. It may seem cheaper but it's not worth it. Much safer to go with ASOS!

“very irresponsible way of doing business”

I shopped twice on this site and both experiences are bad. There was an item missing in the parcel for the first time I shopped. I found that was missing when I open the parcel. After contacting the CS, it turned out that they got that item out of stock. In such situation, I expect the seller should tell me in the first place once they notice that but not just send an incomplete order without a word and leave it to the customers. It makes me feel they are kind of taking a chance that you missed that so they don't have to pay you back the money. At the end I have to report that on my own for the refund. It was a not so happy experience. And recently, I shopped again and this time the order is still not delivered for over 20 days ( it is supposed to be less than 8 days, according to their information ). I tried to urge thehut CS to look into it once I notice there is sth wrong about the system message at the courier side in the very beginning but they just told me to wait. And 2 weeks passed I sought for help again through their CS and what came back is only "investigation is in progress", "sorry but keep waiting" such blah blah blah buy-time cliche. Delivery arrangement has always been the seller's responsibility but how they act just keep telling you that is not their issue even if the customer has paid the money but didn't receive anything. And now I requested to cancel my order but they claimed they would do the refund after they get the parcel back. Firstly, I didn't pay my money after but before I get my order delivered. Secondly, the issue of the order now is exactly about the delivery. They screwed up the delivery and they keep the money? As a customer, this is the worst online seller I've ever dealt with.

I will never use the hut again. They have wrong pictures of the items you procure and then you have to send it back. Fair enough, everyone makes mistakes but they never took any responsibility, it was just another return for them. When I finally got around to send it back, at my own expense, they simply redelivered the same item again. Having put them on notice they just send me the same old return email again. What a bunch of jokers with no care of their customers.

“DVD's will not play in USA. ”

This is a terrible place to order Dvd. They will not play in the United States. Say Region Error. You don't know this until you try to play the dvd. It won't play. Then customer service says no return or refund because you have opened the package. It was forty dollars. That's bull. Don't order from The Hut. Poor public relations. Stars won't clear on rating entered 1 in error.

“DVD SCHEME- Buyer Beware”

The Hut is operating a huge DVD scheme. They are based outside the U.S. and are selling DVDs that are manufactored and cannot be viewed on DVD players and other devices in the U.S. The Hut does not offer a refund on these purchases as they claim the website clearly indicates what regions of the world the DVDs can be viewed. Unfortunately, consumers in the U.S. and other places do not know this region coding even exists.

“Shockingly bad customer service”

I ordered 2 of the same item on 27th Nov - Christmas presents for children. One arrived on its own in a box about a week later, with no despatch note. As far as The Hut was concerned, the order was dealt with, even though I had only received half my order. Nearly a month later, after repeated messages, emails, signing and sending of documents (I've NEVER had to do that before for a missing item) and waiting, I still haven't received the item, and given it's now Christmas, I've had to go and buy another elsewhere. The online messaging centre thing is rubbish - really cumbersome and doesn't save message threads. Certainly won't use this company again.

“Two broken pots from The Hut”

I first ordered an item (a teapot) from them on Oct 1. It is now Nov 19. I have since received two broken teapots and series of confusing emails from them. After I received the second broken teapot, I requested a replacement. They never got the message, even though there is a record of it in their unwieldy "Customer Service Contact Centre." Now they're saying the item is out of stock. It is unprofessional. Steer clear.

“Shocking - Do not Use !”

“Totally not interested ”

So I take up the offer of 'Buy the camouflage shorts' & reiecve a Brace soul padded jacket for free!! Shorts ordered & jacket ordered in size L.. Package arrives - shorts are ok Jacket is size M. I email (because you can't ring them) to say Jacket is incorrect size. I send back the jacket (at cost to me) requesting size L.. Wait 3 weeks then get reply to my email of 'we've refunded your purchase' a lie - they've not refunded anything, they have simply taken back the free gift & their excuse was 'sorry we're unable to exchange free gifts for a different size.. They have effectively sold me a pair of shorts under the guise of buy this & get this free.. Feel lCompletely ripped off & now can't be bothered to challenge them, as I haven't the time, but beware DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - they sell under false pretences.. Absolutely dreadful, wish I'd read the reviews before buying.. :((

“AVOID AT ALL COST”

I had ordered a DVD from them and had no idea that it was considered a different region. I never knew of any dvd's wouldn't be watchable by region. Why would they sell a dvd to someone in the US, that clearly will not work. And when I requested to return it. given that I was never able to actually watch it or use it, they said they could not sense it wasn't in "mint condition". Its a damn dvd! it doesn't have to be in mint condition to be watchable in the UK. They would not honor a refund. Ridiculous! So now I'm screwed with a dvd that doesn't work and is good as trash, and they have my money. Screw them and NEVER use this dishonest company for selling an item that would not work in my region.

Are they for real? I was notifide that I had won a IPAD and just pay a dollar by credit card and they will send it. RED FLAG! If it sounds to good to be true it more than likely is. THEY JUST WANT MY CARD # and charge away is what I'm thinking. How about you?

Hi has anyone else noticed that they have intereting discount offers on the site. I recently purchased a Bench Men's Fraiser Parka-Black on 9th of this month- advertised at £39.99 after an early bird discount of £5.00 I paid £34.99, the same parka is on now for £53.99 with a 20% discount making it £43.19 that makes it £8.00 dearer with a supposedly larger discount. Surely this isn't legal trading?
