“Poor delivery and bad customer service”

I ordered Valentine's Day flowers for my girlfriend in Oxford. But Arenaflowers did not deliver on Feb 14. I called the customer service trying to cancel my order but the woman answering the phone was in really bad attitude. I was trying to explain my reason to cancel the order, but she kept saying it was my fault as I tried to change the delivery address on Valentine's Day (my girlfriend has another address which is easier to deliver). “Delivery not what was paid for.”

I ordered valentine flowers at Arena, Hawarden on behalf of a soldier serving abroad. Order No.2895112 At the time of the order I paid £4.99 for morning delivery which was 8.00am to 1.00pm However, I then contacted Arena Flowers by email and asked if they could possibly deliver by 12 noon. “I bought expencive flowers, my sister go a cheap bouquet”

From Denmark I wanted to surprice my sister in Birmingham with a nice bouquet. I found one on the website, a bouquet that was lovely and with a very specific list of flowers. “Blooming Awful”

Tuesday's same day delivery still wasn't delivered by Friday & absolutely no acknowledgement on their part. Totally unacceptable in a flower delivery company because it's not always possible to ask if the flowers have been delivered - so you have to have confidence they have been. The payment for the same day delivery however was taken within an hour! Thank you for your email and please accept my sincere apologies for any misunderstanding with my colleague who you spoke with this morning. I heard the conversation and I believe she was trying to explain the situation, however sadly there isn't really a definitive answer as to what went wrong. Our system works by customers placing an order online, that order then goes into a process called "Review" while in "Review" alerts may flag up which let us know that the order needs to be checked. If no alerts are raised, and everything is okay with the order, it will go into "Processing" to be put together by the florists. Unfortunately, due to what I can only assume was a system error (computers can go wrong from time to time!) your order did not leave "Review" but no alerts where raised either, therefore here in customer services we were not aware of the order and sadly neither were the florists as it did not enter the "Processing" stage either.

This is not something which happens regularly and I am truly sorry that this happened to your order. Dear Mr Kearon

“The worst ”

So I've used this site 6 times. First 4 transactions were fine.. The.... Valentines day flowers did not make it till 2 days later. Yes that's right..... Rhe final time was nov 2014. Ordered very expensive express delivery next day. You guessed it flowers did not arrive. Mo phone calls. No explanation. Customer service appalling. “Very happy with Arena flowers”

“Very disappointed”

After failing to deliver the flowers which were a birthday gift, this company made no attempt to contact me and were defensive and brusque when I contacted them by phone (after emails were ignored). “WATCH OUT! ”

I was silly of ordering flowers through Arena without checking the shocking reviews below and I was another victim of their disgusting service! I ordered flowers for my sister's wedding and they never arrived. As it was a Saturday eve when I realised , I had to wait until Monday so customer service was available! “Disappointment on two continents”

I used arena flowers several years ago, they provided a good service. So when I needed to send a birthday package abroad I didn't hesitate to use them. Big mistake, despite offering same day delivery and accepting the order, they then cancelled the day after delivery was due, citing “operational reasons” as a reason. “DO NO USE!”

I ordered flowers for my fiance from ArenaFlowers.com, I paid, and all I got for my trust in this company was a refund, and a disappointed fiance. I ordered roses, and a little stuffed bear to be delivered to her work. I was in California at the time, and she in UK. Good afternoon,

Thank you very much for your review and your feedback.

We would like to point out that it was made very clear in the email which was sent to the customer that we would wait to hear from him before proceeding with the order. This had nothing to do with the fact that it was Friday afternoon in any way - some senders consider additional gifts such as teddy bears as important as the flowers themselves and do not want to proceed with the flowers without the additional gifts. The email which was sent contained the sentence: 'Shall I refund the teddy and just have the flowers delivered today?'. This does not insinuate that the flowers were sent. The customer responded after 7pm that evening for the very first time, angry that the flowers had not arrived. His email contained the sentence: 'Please process my refund ASAP'. The full refund was therefore processed and the order cancelled - not as a random decision but because the sender had asked for a full refund.

We are very sorry that this caused such upset. We were not trying to cause problems, we were simply waiting for an answer from the sender and then following his instructions.

“Zero tolerance or customer care”

I was then told it was my fault for not putting special instructions for a simple straightforward drop-off where the recipient was present and the full address given. Hi,

Thank you for your comments. I would, however, like to point out that my colleague offered to investigate the problem. You would not let him speak, and he therefore could not explain to you what he would have been more than happy to offer as compensation and to try to find a solution for the problem. If a problem with a delivery occurs, we are of course happy to find solutions for the customer. All my colleague did was to point out that no delivery instructions were left which means that it is at the courier's discretion whether to leave the flowers at the address or to return them to the depot. If you had let him continue, he would have explained that in such cases we need to speak to the courier, but since in this case the courier appears to have made an error with the address, we would be happy to offer either an upgraded redelivery or a full refund. Unfortunately a calm communication did not take place, and we therefore made the decision to refund you in full.
