“BTS misleading language leads to loss of $1200 ticket.”

I had to cancel a ticket for international flight Chicago-Germany-Chicago due to personal reasons in Sep.2011. I was informed that the value of my ticket, which is about $1200, is valid for one year. The exact reply from BTS customer service was as follows: "You have up until August 20th, 2012 to apply the value of this ticket towards a new reservation, using the same airline, same destination and same passenger’s name upon payment of $350.00 used reissue fee plus fare difference if any." “Worst company to book a flight with/ biggest rip off yet!”

They tried to book me fly from RDU (NC) to LGA (NY) switch airports to JFK (NY) all within 2 hours and 45min during rush hour morning commute and make check in for an internation flight to JBN (Johannesburg -South AFrica)all between an anticipated arrival in NY at 8:00am and 10:15 closing time for South African Airways check-in desk. “Falls advertise : Don't get trapped”

I tried to book tickets from EWR to AMD. The booking was accepted but soon receive email suggesting the same flights and date with everything else similar but increased price. It seemed they attract the customer by showing and accepting booking by low prices but soon they intimate customers that airline does not wiling to confirm the same but there are alternatives with increased prices. I was booking a flight (one way )from DC to Paris, the price was about $500 as displayed by the BT store site. As i got to the second stage, it changed to $2300…. This happened over a course of the week as i tried to book each day. The price first displayed is completely different form what is displayed on the steps after. I booked a flight online to travel on Sunday morning because they had the cheapest tickets. Now it's Friday midnight and I still have not received any travel documents. Called them twice and they promised me I will receive my ticket today. I got nothing. Tomorrow they are open only 3 hours and sunday they are closed. This site is an absolute night mare. Best travel store is the worst travel agency I've every dealt with. I contacted them about purchasing a ticket from DC, to Liberia. I made my reservations on line using my mother's credit card. They wanted me to sent in a copy of her credit card, ID, copy of bank statement, which all seem reasonable but my mom was not willing to release all that info to them. “Worst for businesses ever....”

I am a professor that travels a lot for conferences and such. My Assistant always purchases tickets for me on a University Card. She used "worst" travel store to book a ticket, and they sent me an email, as the traveler, at 5pm on a Friday saying that I needed to get back to them with credit card verification information by 12:00 on Saturday. Should be ZERO stars!! After you purchasing my ticket they are requiring me to pay a few hundred dollars MORE just to obtain the ticket!! Whenever I tried to call them to discuss this issue I had to wait 30 minutes only for the call to be dropped and have to start the process all over again. “Got name wrong, had to buy more expensive ticket at...”

We bought ticket online with right passenger name. On the receipt in the return email, the name was right too. However, when we arrived at the airport, the passenger's first name got totally wrong. According to the check-in manager, it was this agent who gave the wrong name. We contacted this agent multiple times. Every time, we needed to wait about 10 minutes. I bought a ticket then I cancelled it, beside the fact that they charged me 350 $ for cancellation, they expected me to confirm the cancellation in order to get a refund. The funny part is...THEY NEVER ASKED ME FOR THAT CONFORMATION.
