    I recently signed up to the Eclipse 8mb evolution package. I have had nothing but slow downloads since the service was activated, at peak times I am lucky if I can achieve 30kbps when downloading from a http website and around 4kbps when using p2p (this is around the same speed as dial-up).     If your shopping around for broadband, do check out what deals the branded competition is up to but also check what Eclipse.net.uk can off. Don't be fooled into thinking free antivirus, firewall etc etc is a real money saver offered by the bigger brands. There is a lot of competition out there, and ...

    If you have to notice your ISP, the chances are they aren't very good. I am glad to say that after the hell of Plusnet, I have rarely had to think about Eclipse Internet. My broadband works when I want it to, and it's cheap too. Enough said.

    I got this broadband service during this month, and believe me it is a nightmare. After installing the software, my PC keeps on getting shut down, and when it gets restated an error report says that this has been due to a new software installation.

    I wouldn't recommend Eclipse if you like doing anything other than general surfing and e-mail.

    I like Usenet, but I'm not a heavy downloader. I generally only download after midnight, but the speed doesn't really improve much.

    Like all ISPs Eclipse offer 8M in big letters, up to in small. They are at the mercy of BT who don't say that 8M is really 7.2 observed and that anyway customers to any ISP are unlikely to get near that speed consistently.
