Ok, so great their Computer Planet website is easy to use so i order my £900 system, and notice that the delivery is 6-9 days. Three weeks later my SYSTEM HAS NOT EVEN BEGAN BUILDING. So much for the build and deliver to your door by roughly 9 days. THREE WEEKS ON AND NOT EVEN A BUILD START. Two and a half weeks later i get an email saying that a part was out of stock, i wait, half a week later the part comes in stock, and oh another has run out by the time the first comes back into stock… Read Full Review

The graphics card was faulty when it arrived, it had red lines across the screen. Shouldn't their extensive testing have picked this up? But I have not even said anything to them because I believe they will probably blame the courier
So I have sent just the graphics card back to them, UPS show it as being delivered for over a week now, and I haven't received acknowledgement of this from computer planet yet. I emailed them and they tell me it will be processed today and guess what, it appears not… Read Full Review

Completely useless customer service, numerous items missing from the delivery e.g. Driver disks, Monitor supplied was lower specification than the Monitor ordered. Keyboard supplied was faulty despite Computer Planets Quality Control process. When refunds requested for sub standard Monitor and Fault Keyboard, price refunded was considerably less than I was charged to the tune of £60.
Do not deal with this guys and less you are willing to suffer appaling customer service, if you do deal with… Read Full Review

PC from Computer Planet took much too long to build, considering what I wanted was a fairly basic system, but it was within the timeframe advertised. However the problems really started when it arrived.
First the monitor plug was a European one, not a UK one. Thankfully, I had an adaptor lying around, otherwise I would have had to buy one.
Then I discovered that the promised Windows XP disks were NOT included, despite the original disks being advertised as part of the package I bought.
Annoying… Read Full Review

2 PCs ordered 29 July, 1st one delivered eventually on 13th Aug without the monitor and keyboard, invoice and confirmation email both included these items. 2nd PC ready for delivery by 18th Aug also apparently without the monitor and keyboard and Computer Planet agreed to hold the delivery until the issue was resolved. But it was dispatched the next day anyway. They would not acknowledge the order as per the invoice and confirmation email which had monitors and keyboards for both PCs. They… Read Full Review

Good website, all the parts came as specified, came on time, came with a foreign power cable which i mentioned to them but didn't mind because i had a spare they then sent me a uk cable the very next day, even though i said i had the computer up and running.
Even though the website shows the warrenty has started on the day the order is processed they reset the warrenty date to when they actually send the product out to you… Read Full Review

Thank you to Computer Planet for a great deal indeed, computer is still running great.
the main reason of choosing them was the price of a products they sell, and the very new products they offered for such low price.
the PC I made cost me about 400 pounds and in other shops online, or proper ones the PC with same modification was nearly one thousand or more!
So I think you know what I mean, it's a great deal indeed!
I've met lots of people since then with PC problems and fixing them, so I… Read Full Review

no qualms in using Computer Planet again..
they have not failed me and they helped a great deal in my selecting the best spec to suit my needs within a budget.
thanks guys and i wish you continued success.
i recommend you to any future PC buyers who require a custom built machine.
perhaps some future buyers would do well to seek your experts opinion on the spec they are requesting as to its optimum performance before they decide to buy.
after all that's why your experts are there.
so thanks… Read Full Review

Having bought a pc from this company via the website 9 months ago, i`m very happy still with what I purchased. The pc is very well built and very reliable. The cost was only £350 for somthing you would get in PC world or simular for £800. I would recommend this website/company to anybody thinking about purchasing a pc, i couldnt be happier with the service and surprised they are an ENGLISH company considering the service was so good… Read Full Review

My order was placed on the 10th Aug, all parts were picked by the 14th, Building started by the 21st, then, hold on All parts picked on the 27th?! Build started shortly after. Still the 27th Aug now the order is showing waiting parts!?! I am not quite sure what is going on with it. I have just sent off a complaint and wait to hear back from them. I would only use these guys again as a very last resort due to my experience… Read Full Review

I would definitely recommend Computer Planet to one of my colleagues, friends or anyone really, it helps if you know what you want, thats why i suppose you are custom building your own though. From the first point of sale (the website) to the day i first booted up my OS, the experience has been a very pleasant one: I did not find myself getting frustrated working my way round the website (like some others), the email support was swift and helpful, the packages delivered together and on time… Read Full Review

One point that would be easy to solve: my order involved 2 parcels and of course they arrived on different dates as they had got separated. I think Computer Planet should tape them together to avoid this. I sat looking at my beautiful new system all night as the d/sub converter for my existing monitor was in 2nd parcel which hadn't arrived - bummer.
The proof is in the pudding: my system was chosen from a wide range of components hand built to order; professionally put together and finished… Read Full Review

I sent my computer away for repair (within warranty period), they had it for two months (returned it out of warranty period). It arrived with no psu cables. Once I received them I checked my pc immediately and it appears to be still broken. They have said they will not fix it because it is out of the warranty period. It seems to me as though they did not fix it properly initially. They do not reply to emails to my satisfaction, personally find it difficult to get in contact with Computer Planet… Read Full Review

I'm writing this review after some fantastic customer service.
A year and a half ago I bought a £1200 PC from Computer planet and took out a 3 year guarantee, since then I have upgraded the motherboard, Ram, and case, most manufactures would say upgrading the PC voids the desktop, Computer Planet don't.
-then recently my Power supply unit died.
I emailed them and with in an hour I got a reply, with in a few days a UPS truck arrived at my door to pick the Power supply unit up at no cost to me and… Read Full Review

I imagine they must get some working PC's out but it certainly wasn't mine. It took six weeks to deliver (and lasted 20 minutes!). They may be the least expensive but I feel I didn't even get what I paid for. My base unit hasn't worked since I received it and they seem to have dragged out the support and excuses ever since. I've spent more time re-installing and patching than I've ever had it working and it still doesn't work. Get your machine somewhere with a better reputation.

Their website says delivery in 7 days so I happily placed my order. Despite charging my card as soon as the order was received it actually took 25 days for the computer to get to me. And once I did eventually get it it stopped working after just 6 hours of use. I contacted them and told them I was rejecting the goods as it was unfit for it's intended purpose and I wanted a full refund of the purchase price. Once they received it back I though everything would be fine - but no! After more… Read Full Review

Took quite a bit longer than I thought it would for Computer Planet to produce the PC, well outside of the time the quoted when I phoned to place the order. So I phoned to cancel the order and even though they have now cancelled it, have not yet received a refund and as far as I know they have not yet tried to contact me?… Read Full Review

I ordered the PC from ComputerPlanet at the start of Feb, it took them until the middle of March to get the machine to me. When it arrived they had installed the version of windows I didnt want, so I reinstalled it, one of the fans was connected backwards... Now these were things I could solve, and did so. However other issues popped up, an error in vista that I've never come up against at all (BSOD whenever 4gb of ram was installed until a software patch was released, granted, that was a… Read Full Review

I purchased a PC from www.computerplanet.co.uk in early June 2008 and I soon got a reply to tell me they had received it and it was going into production which pleased me. They had a couple of problems in getting 2 parts but they remedied that and again kept me informed. The PC turned up around 2 weeks after the order was placed but as it was a custom PC I expected there may have been a delay. That is where anything good to say about the company ends. On unpacking my PC I noticed that there was… Read Full Review
