I brought this Gamo Hunter 440 gun as a starter, This is my first air rifle and I thought that it was hardhitting, accurate and fairly nice to use, even though it is a bit heavy. I got the 22 version with a Simmons 4x32 scope. Every time I come to use the gun, it is innaccurate and therefore I have ...

I bought my Gamo Hunter 440 (22cal) 3 months ago. First impressions were not great but I have learned to appreciate this rifle for what it is. Firstly for a spring piston air rifle it does not feel great to fire. The rifle shudders with a pronounced twang that makes it seem like it was dry fired. O ...

I bought this Gamo Hunter 440 about 4 months ago. I already put more than 300 pellets through it, and noticed that the scope slips a lot. Scope stop usually flies off around 45-70 rounds, even though i tighten the scope all the way down, (does anyone here have a solution to this problem? maybe ne ...

I bought my Gamo Hunter 440 recently. I shot about 100-200 rounds. In the beginning, accuracy was terrible. 440 is hard to handle at first 20-30 shots. Then I managed to group shots within a diameter of 1 cm at 15 m, after adjusting the open sights a bit. I don't shoot at animals but I am sure ...

I bought a Gamo Hunter 440 a month ago. I satisfied with the accuracy, but the power is not enough. I have an underpowered version according to the local law. I would like to get the power back?
What and how should I do?
I know the piston contains hole(s), but I don't dare to modify my gun. Is it ...

I bought it and I think the Gamo Hunter 440 is a good gun in all, the problem I have with it lately was the scope rail and I don't I particularly like the noise it makes when fired. I do still think it's money well spent but apart from those bad points. It's accuracy and performance JUST makes up fo ...

The Gamo Hunter 440 is an excellent rifle. It has excellent power and accuracy, and for the price of around £135. I can hit a soda can consistently at 40m with the open sights. Fitting a scope to this rifle should allow for accurate shots up to at least 80-100 metres, if not more.

    Cocking t ...

I need a few answers. I have just bought the Gamo Hunter 440 air rifle after reading all the reviews, and I think I'm still glad I bought it. A little more time will tell. A few things made me feel uneasy right at the beginning though. The stop block, as expected, fell off at about the first 25 sho ...

I purchased my Gamo 440 air rifle in .177 from Natchez Shooters Supply in Tenn. The price was the best I could find on the net at $155 plus shipping. I have now had this air rifle for over two months, and have put a little over 1200 shots through it. The gun shoots hard and very accurately. I ha ...

I bought a new Gamo Hunter 440 in .22 calibre a week ago. This rifle is my first air rifle since a teenager some time ago, and is primarily going to be used for pest control (rabbits, magpies etc) at short ranges.
I chose the Hunter 440 in .22 cal based on the Gamo brand name, the rifle's power, ae ...
