Experian just dont care about their customers at all. I was a subscriber to Experian since 2016. Until now. I lodged a complaint with them on 3rd May 2020. It's impossible to get in contact with them. So I raised a complaint, the only option. The auto acknowledgement implied I'd get an answer within 3 days. Might be a little longer due to current CV19. Over 3 weeks later and absolutely nothing. I have been in contact with numerous companies during CV19 and they all manage to respond promptly despite CV19. The issue I complained about persists and they still havent bothered to reply in any way shape or form. Clearly by not answering they dont know and dont care. Meaning Experian add no value whatsoever and is simply a complete waste of time and money. I cancelled my subscription and warned them if I dont get a reply I will take to all online avenues to broadcast how utterly useless they are. They still havent replied. So, everyone, whatever you do, do NOT use Experian. They are worse than dreadful.

Look folks, this company, and many others like it, are sponsored by the Finance industry and Banks. Improving your credit rating (if it ever happens) is purely coincidental. What these Companies like Experian want, is to get your full details. Your Name, Current Address, Contact details, Employment, Income etc etc etc. Once they have all of that, the finance houses and banks have immediate access to you. They can then check if , at any time, you had dealings with them in the past and pursue you for whatever you may owe them, you are in the system and they then own you. No doubt companies such as Experian get a nice little earner out of sharing your details and you, if you wait enough years and pay enough money, you will eventually start to rebuild your credit., However, how many years you have to wait to get any sort or improvement is anyone's guess. I was advised to get one of those Credit cards advertised as a "credit rebuilder". I paid religiously after borrowing £5 and £10 a month on it and paying on the due date, never missed for over 18 months. My credit rating went down. I did however get calls from credit and finance houses I had used some 15 to 20 years ago. DONT DO IT !!!!! STAY AWAY FROM EXPERIAN and all of the others. Stay away from Finance, Stay away from banks. If they have captured you then pay them £1/month on each account and make them wait 10 years for the balance. These "Repair your Credit" companies: DONT PLAY THEIR GAME

Called the Identity check service on 13 June 2016 at 1928 and 2022 hrs and was told that the system was down and I shd call back next morning. Next morning they denied that the systems were down and said there was nothing wrong the previous evening. It would appear that we have entrusted our identity checking into the hands of employees whose honesty and integrity seriously sucks! Quite shocked!

I found that they are weeks out of date with their information. I think it is criminal that they can give a credit rating on out of date information to credit companies. I am not just being a sour puss as I have a credit rating with them of 999. I have changed both bank accounts and credit cards and they dont know! I find it astounding that I pay them to give me out of date information.

By far the worst customer service I have ever received. They are refusin to get back to me about a cheque that I was due to receive from experian over charging me. The cheque is now 14 days late and having no response from experian at all.

Do not, I repeat, do not sign up for an Experian Credit Membership or request a $1 credit report. I missed the fine print, which automatically enrolled me as a member for credit monitoring at a cost of $21.95/Month! I didn't catch it for 6 months, so now I'm out $120. Credit agencies, especially Experian are deceptive and think they can do whatever they want because they have the keys to the kingdom. I will be reporting this to the BBB.

I have to say I have being a member of Experian for many years and I have never received any help. Today they have halved my credit rating and the reason they gave was because creditors changed their scoring. I except policies change but when you pay for a services you expect to be help and informed Experian have known of this change for months but did not inform any of their customers this is a serious lack of customer care and I would not recommend anyone paying them to watch a arrow move up then suddenly drop and if you are a member and they ask for a review give the worse review possible

Failed to show money being taken from my account fraudulently and only contacted me when my own bank was running a check!

I canceled my "free trial" membership within the allotted 7 days (I canceled the first day). I then went out of town and missed that they charged me for a month. On the second month I contacted them and complained about the charges. Even though they could see I never went to the web site and that they never provided any information about my credit they claimed they had no evidence I wanted my membership canceled. It is a pretty good racket when you can claim your system did not record a reason to stop charging money. Obviously it is in their best interest not to record such cancellations. I was left with no choice but to report this as fraudulent charges. I strongly encourage you to find a service that will keep in communication and not simply silently charge you.

I have been paying £14.99 into Experian for several years and my report has been very good! Or so I thought!! I could not work out why I was being refused credit until one day my bank mentioned that my credit was coming back poor with another credit agency they used (apparently they check a few). I naively thought that all agencies will have the same information or at least be scoring very similar not polar opposite! I have checked out my ratings with the other agencies and agree they are correct but had not been trying to pay off my debt any quicker as like I said my credit score appeared very good. All agencies have the EXACT same information and having looked at several agencies Experian Credit Score is the one that is different from them all with the same information. Now ordinarilly you would be glad your score is ok but if you cannot get credit for love nor money the score is USELESS!! I have taken it to the Ombudsman who agree its ODD but have no powers to enforce anything because they are allowed to use their own scoring system? I have had correspondance with Mark Whawell Customer Relations Consultant who is VERY RUDE and not helpful at all. As far as Experian are concerned they are doing everything right and in theory they probably are, however I feel their scoring system is NOT a true reflection of your credit score and to pay £14.99, you may as well chuck it in the bin it is NOT worth anything! They might be one of the biggest but in my eyes they are the worst and they have messed up my credit history as had i known how bad it REALLY was i would not of applied for credit for my car and my debt would have been paid years ago i just decided to pay it slowly to enjoy a quality of life with the understanding i was ok! i now cannot get credit for a blinking phone let a lone a mortgage. I asked for my money back but of course i was told by this LOVELY gentleman that they will not be responding to me again. So WATCHDOG it is! Has anyone else had this experience????? I never complain but can't seem to let this one go. I am incensed!!

It is the most foolish thing I have ever seen. Today I logged into my experian account after 4 years and what do I find? My experian account is stuck in a time freeze where I was 4 years ago. All the accounts, cards addresses on the account is what I had 4 years ago. It asks me to update my addresses. So for 15 quid a month I get to see things I have updated. It says that my credit score has gone up 150 points because I didnt have any credit transactions after that. So my credit score is based on the insufficient data they have on me. I call them up and they ask me to update my address on their website so that I get a more up to date score. So what if I give a wrong address? What change would it bring it to my score? They say we can see what lenders can see? Really? Gobble up 15 quid and sell bull sht.

Note that if you are unwisely thinking of using this company they will charge you nearly £15 a month for what they call membership. Most people are unaware that they are going to be charged and the only apparent benefits of “membership” are to maintain an income stream to Experian from your bank account. Cancelling “membership is almost impossible. It is the only thing you cannot do on the website. There is small print saying they wont do it by mail or e-mail.It took me three months during which they continued bleed my account despite phone and written notifications that I did not want their service. Last phone call took over 45 minutes and I had to ask over 10 times to get them to cancel. They only cancelled AFTER I told them that I had directed my bank to stop all payments. BEWARE

Considering that only 8 percent have recommended this, the question arises about the credibility of Experian Credit and its business ethics. Is there no one in the law enforcement agencies to look into this. Or is it because financial institutions are part of the problem ? How can a Credit Report be credible when the credibility of the organisation giving is questionable?

awful service, awful people , yet seems to have great influence with lenders , the worst thing is . . to find out what they say about you - YOU have to pay for it disgusting - equal only to Parking Eye

I am trying to repair my credit file and signed up to Experian for £15.00 per month. I decided to ring their customer services to ask a fews questions and the young man on the other end of the phone could not even string a sentence together, let alone discuss the best way forward to repairing my credit file. I understand it is near on impossible to cancel the subscription and I would advise anyonee having this problem to cancel the card that you made any payments on and advise your bank.

The problem is with the Electoral Commission allowing them access to their database to be used for commercial suppose. Same as DVLA. Legalised theft of database.
