I wouldn't take another one of these irons if they gave it to me. I paid $200 plus shipping for this iron and I have never been so disappointed in anything for a long time. The steam gets hot but the iron itself doesn't stay hot enough to do a good job of ironing jeans and cottons… Read Full Review

I have owned this iron for 7 years and loved it. It just went out and I am trying in vain to find another one to buy. My sister also bought one and feels the same way. Anyone know where we can buy 2 of these irons?… Read Full Review

I am very surprised by the negative reports of the Redfern Eurosteam iron. I absolutely love it!!
My husband has "shined" more shirts and microfiber shorts than I care to count!!! No more with this iron!! You can't burn or shine anything! Fabulous!
A couple of suggestions: 1) Don't over fill. Period. 2)After you have finished ironing - turn the dial wide open and let the steam empty the tank. Then, you can refill and have it ready for next time. 3) I sometimes empty the tank (after it… Read Full Review

I purchased the Redfern iron at a home show. It worked fine for the first few months then afterwards it didn't seem to work at all. I called customer service, the service was poor and they seemed clueless. There are no repair shops in Toronto for the Redfern iron according to customer service. I was told I had to send the iron to them in Calgary and $45 dollars for repairs. Living in Toronto, I would have to pay for the shipping charges, $45 dollars for the repair and have no iron for 2… Read Full Review

If you buy this at a home show or other live event, pay close attention to how many irons are available for demo. You will never see them run out of steam - the most negative feature of this product. Steam does not last long enough between refills to make this a practicle iron. Refilling while the iron is still hot requires careful steps and is very dangerous. The time saved ironing is offset by the frequency of refilling water tank. And don't even think of over filling! Water will squirt… Read Full Review

This is the BEST iron I've ever owned, and I've owned many! It has never burned anything and it gets all the seams and pieces to my quilts flat! And they stay flat. Other irons get the fabrics semi flat, and then after a while the fabrics puff back up again. This doesn't happen with the Redfern Euro Steam. I recommend it to all my customers, friends and students… Read Full Review

I have a Redfern Eurosteam iron and did like the way it performed but whatever you do don't drop it ....mine fell off the ironing board onto the floor(cushion floor) accidently and the inside of the iron fell apart,,there was an weird material that came through the water spout and the iron did not work at all.
I was very disappointed because I have dropped irons before and they always continued to work without any problems… Read Full Review

If your Redferb Eurosteam iron came with an instructional DVD be sure to view it. I purchased mine 2 years ago at a state fair and after using it for 1 year returned to the fair with some questions. She asked if I had viewed the DVD, which I had not, and showed me what I needed to do by turning the dials to correct the problem. Yes, it does use more water than they say, and if you accidently get a crease it does not come out easily like they demonstrate. However, I use this iron 95% of the… Read Full Review

I own the Redfern Eurostream Evolution Model 6399. If you want to avoid most the problems noted above, keep this in mind. DO NOT OVERFILL the iron. See product manual for refilling instructions. DO NOT USE CONTINUOUS STEAM, except for special purposes, like steaming a curtain. REMOVE SCALING every few months. Instructions in the product manual. IF THE FILLER CAP LEAKS STEAM, replace the black O RING. Spares are included in the packaging. Avoid dropping the iron. You will crack the housing… Read Full Review

The Redfern Eurosteam iron NEVER worked. It would puff a little steam, but not enough to iron anything. When I finally returned it according to the instructions on the warranty, the iron "disappeared". Apparently, they hadn't been at that location for at least 3 years.....and now it was MY FAULT that I had shipped it there. Also - they "now" require you to call and get a "return authorization" which wasn't part of the instructions with my iron. So it's my fault that I DIDN'T get a return… Read Full Review

I purchased a Redfern Eurosteam 2 years ago at a home show. I have had it replaced 3 times. I would NEVER recommend this iron to anyone. I can iron about 6 pieces (t-shirts) before I have to refill with water. With each refill of water it takes anywhere between 8 and 15 minutes to reheat. I spend more time waiting for the iron to reheat than I do ironing. When not using the steam function of the iron, the iron doesn't get hot enough to iron anything. Customer service is terrible. I do plan… Read Full Review

This iron is not worth the $200 that I was charged for this iron. The water housing is far too small. You can only iron 4-5 pieces and then you have to shut it off to refill, wait for five minutes before you can begin ironing again. Give me a Rowenta any day over this excessively priced iron… Read Full Review

I bought this Redfern Eurosteam iron for quilting and it worked fine for about one to two months. Then it began to leak steam all the time. After I fill the tank it just sits and hisses out steam until the tank is empty. I have tightened the steam adjust but it still leaks steam. Not terrible happy with it for the price I paid. Have not yet tried customer service but I am not looking forward to it based on the reviews.

I have used my Eurosteam iron for over 3 years now and absolutely love it! It never burns or sticks with any fabric and does a professional looking job.
In response to those who have spitting and too much steam problems - don't overfill the tank - that makes it spit. Also, turn off the constant steam and use the button on top to steam when ironing. It allows you to do more pieces before filling… Read Full Review
