I bought tHe Redfern Eurosteam iron 2 years ago at a home show after watching the demonstration. I don' t dread ironing anymore. It works on even delicate materials. No more ironing the entire pair of pants & then holding them up and still seeing wrinkles, and you don't have to keep going over the area, just a push with your finger on the steam button as you go. it's great if you can see it in action like I did. I use distilled water as they suggested and never add more water than the… Read Full Review

After that the iron never work again. and it is so sad I dont know to whom reply. because the box only givem the yahoo.com address. that is not what I want. I want to send this piece of trash to them, so they can send me a good one. During the year I had it. I only use 10 times. Thanks, Odil Rossi… Read Full Review

I bought the Euro Steam Evolution at the LA County Fair last August and have been very disappointed for several reasons; the handle gets very hot, the iron leaks steam, and there is a very loud hissing sound long after the iron is unplugged. I called the service number repeatedly and spoke to "Alonna", who was full of excuses but offered no help other than a new O-Ring (that took 7 weeks to arrive and only made the problems worse instead of better). Bottom line: the concept of a steam iron is… Read Full Review

I am in agreement with the other reviews - only works at its best at the shows. I've encountered the leakage problems as well and apparently it has now "blown its gasket". I love the little travel iron that came with it but am not very happy with the full size iron. Did provide good steam initally but I didn't find that it worked well when vertical, i.e. steaming something on a hanger. I live in the country and therefore it is hard to get service - I should have made the effort initially to… Read Full Review

I bought the Euro Steam Evolution at the Ventura County Fair in August and have been using it ever since for quilting projects. I especially liked it because of the amount of steam I could focus directly on a seam and get a great crease - my quilts have never looked better. BUT, the handle gets very hot - not because of the steam or any leak from the \"not tight enough\" water hole plug, it just gets very hot. And, if you want to spray starch anything, the iron sole plate by itself does not… Read Full Review

I was interested in this iron when an exhibitor was demonstrating it at the PNE in Vancouver, B.C. Came across the same iron at the Vancouver Home & Design show and purchased it. Apparently this iron only works at shows. A recurring theme about the problems of the iron is the water leakage. I think… Read Full Review

I was fooled into buying the Redfern Eurosteam iron at a trade show in Denver, Colorado Feb. 2, 2011. They show you how to really iron...like I didn't know how. With this iron they claim you can iron 8 pillow cases at one time and they will be wrikle free. Wow! my dream iron. I can justify the $$$$$. So, stupid, such a waste of time and money on this Redfern Eurosteam iron.... It won't iron 8 cases at once, it won't even iron one case wrinkle free. The iron takes forever to produce… Read Full Review

Impressed by a presentation at the Home Show, my three girlfriends and I each bought one of these irons. The apparent stellar performance however, did not continue at home. The iron goes from releasing water all over the fabric to burning your hand while attempting to use it. Unlike the demo, ironing one side of a piece of clothing does not remove wrinkles from the other, nor does holding it over buttons to smooth fabric.. None of us is able to hold the iron without a facecloth wrapped around… Read Full Review

I have tried to use this iron several times since my purchase. I even sent it back to Redfern and they checked it over and said it was working properly. So I guess if instead of steam you want wet fabric it is working properly. And if you don't mind getting your hand overheated if you use for any length of time then it is working properly.
I feel I threw my $200.00 in the trash for all the service I have gotten out of this iron.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
i WOULD… Read Full Review

I like the iron. The steam from the iron actually irons the clothes. It does a great job. Using steam, rather than a hot iron, seems easier on the clothes.
The water runs out too often though. It needs to be refilled more often than a traditional steam iron. Users have to be patient because when refilling the iron,it must be turned off and it takes a few minutes for the water to heat up in the iron before you can start using it again. I would still recommend the iron though because it… Read Full Review

Home show demonstrator promised the iron would steam for more than one hour. It doesn't even last 10 minutes. Spews water, ruins clothes.
Repair on warranty is at your shipping cost and "repair fee".
Very poor quality item, undependable, unreliable. Save your money, buy a $30 Chinese iron instead!… Read Full Review

I truly love this iron...I have properly maintained it....and it's as good as the day I bought it at the home show. I know this iron will last a long time. I use distilled water and clean the tank faithfully every 3 mths. As well, like any electrical item, I don't leave it plugged in and turned on for several hours at a time. This iron performed perfect results on a wedding gown, 2 Scottish kilts and several window treatments, not to mention the regular ironing tasks. As an avid sewer, I can't… Read Full Review

I do love this iron when it works. However, it has frightening moments when it literally explodes with steam from the front handle area. I mean explodes !!!!
It is very sudden can make you jump if you aren't expecting it.
I would love to find a similar iron from another maker if there is a better one on the market. There may be a crack in the base, though I have NEVER dropped or mishandled it.
I worry about it's safety as a result… Read Full Review

I have TWO of these EUROSTEAM irons.... yes they work well WHEN they work. Durablity is a serious problem.... They spit, they overheat, they require frequent refilling, they melt and the cord on one needed replacing. I don't know why they are so costly when they are so 'disposable'. I really enjoyed using it (when it worked) I quilt and it was great for that. Each iron lasted less than a year - so if you are willing to pay that much each year then give it a try. I would really like to know… Read Full Review

Purchased the iron at a home show. Demo was great. We felt a bit pricey but made the purchase anyway. It is very overrated. It does a good job ironing everything however there were problems. The handle gets very hot. The steam button constantly sticks. It runs out of steam in about two or three garments. Have to let cool down before refilling. The back plate cracked and had to be replaced. It is much heavier than a normal iron. I will not buy another one… Read Full Review

I bought this iron at a trade show. The demonstration was very convincing but when I began to use it I was disappointed. It runs out of water quickly and you end up filling it 3 or 4 times per ironing session. My biggest compaint about it is the handle. After about 6 months I noticed the handle was sticky. With time it is getting worse and worse. I have now had to take nail polish remover to see if I can get off the gummy coating that is all over the handle. If I can't get it off I will not be… Read Full Review

I have tried over 20 irons from 50 dollars to $600.00 and this one it's the BEST. No settings no starch needed and it's super fast. The downfault is that you have to constantly put water but with the time you save it's worth every penny. Everyone in my family owns one now. I cAN SEE MYSELF WITHOUT IT… Read Full Review

I bought this iron on a sewing show 3 years ago. At home I noticed that a piece broke off. When I tried to contact the customer service, I thought that this company is actually not existing. Neither e-mail nor telephone was answered. So I thought that $300 were a waist. 3 weeks and several e-mails later I finally got a mail from them. But as an inpatient sewer I tried the iron meanwhile, liked it and never send it in.(warranties anyway do not cover labor)
Once it's heated up to steam (after… Read Full Review

I have had this iron for about 4 1/2 years and it dropped and now will not heat up. While trying to find someone to repair it I have gone thru 3 other irons trying to find one that will work as good as this one. Finally found an on line site where I could purchase a new one and I am. Yay will finally have the best iron anywhere back again… Read Full Review
